Good morning, WOMEN! We're so close to Friday, I can taste it.

I'm so excited because my StitchFix comes today AND my Beachwaver has shipped! WOOT!

Last night I made a Blue Apron meal and then I had to run to my hair salon so my stylist could add a couple more foils. There was a spot towards the front that was just a bit darker than the rest and it was driving me nuts. He fixed me and all is good

Then I watched BB and went to bed.

Today, I'll be working, getting home, suggesting burgers for dinner so that H has to cook, organizing clothes and then watching BB.

Did you guys hear that Josh Duggar is on the list of Ashley Madison users? I seriously can't WAIT to see how that family tries to spin/defend this.

I'm up early and working from home. We have a 5pm appointment for our 20 week scan. I can't wait to see her! The cats were so annoying last night while I was studying and H was out playing hockey, even in the middle of the night they were annoying. Just being loud knocking things over.

At least at home I can have hot apple cider from our keurig and work in t shirts and shorts.

@Swazzle - I saw about Josh Duggar and AshleyMadison. I also noticed that yesterday a FB friend of mine came out on his FB page and said that he and his wife were separating, the blame is solely on him, they want to keep it civil for the baby, etc. It makes me wonder... Awful close timing!!! I know it probably has NOTHING to do with AM, but you know how imaginations run wild!

And yay for your two deliveries today!

I got up to run this morning because it was 51 outside (WUT!) but it was so dark and no one was out and I felt scared of rabid coyotes (we can hear them at night/in the morning) or being kidnapped. So I went back inside and got ready for work. It's only a high of 82 today so I'll go this evening instead when it's not dark outside. I'm a wuss.

Anyway, I only have to work 11.25 hours to finish up this week, so I'm going to take half days today and tomorrow. I love my new job!!!

Good morning! It's Thursday so it's PAY DAY for me!

I filled out our applications for the apartment yesterday afternoon and dropped them off at the office. The agent that I was working with is out for a few days but she said she'll have her lap top with her and the office will scan her the app so she can get started on it. I don't want to jinx it but I feel like we only wouldn't get it if there a lot of other apps which it did not seem like there were. We have great credit and our landlord will give us a good reference.

I was up late last night looking for ideas on how I can repurpose some of our furniture so we can fit into a smaller space. Then I just couldn't sleep because I was so anxious.

If we get it then our last month's rent at our current place is already paid for (landlord will let us use our security deposit for the last month) so this week and next week I can pay off my car (last payment is due in Sept) and my credit card! Then it's budget, budget, budget. I may have to push back my next Stitch Fix.

@swazzle my friend just texted me to tell me about Josh Duggar. He's terrible. She was talking to me about the Jared from Subway thing too. I just don't get people like that. There is something seriously wrong in your brain.

@peaseblossom aw that's so exciting that you'll get to see her! I can't wait until she's here and we know what her name is!

@cocobellaf hmm I don't think I'd come out on FB and tell people personal business like that. I mean people close to you are going to know you're separated. So jealous of your work hours!

I'm feeling tired this morning. I'm pretty sure it's from the heat. I cooked the cod dish from BA last night- reminded me of another fish recipe from them (caponata). I fell asleep and didn't get to watch my shows, so I will watch masterchef and bravo tv today. That's all for now- we'll see if the weather cooperates for outdoor activities.

@cocobellaf - I love your job too! So you just have to hit 40 hours and that's it? Does it count weekends? Do you have any core hours you have to work? Also remind me what you do again? Sorry....so many questions!

I also saw the AM thing and also can't wait to see how the family handles this. I feel terrible for the younger kids having to go through this when they are innocent but I have to say I am enjoying seeing the adults crash and burn after all the holier than thou nonsense they have spewed.

Today I have my 3rd laser hair appointment. Which meant shaving this morning which I always hate. So itchy. After that I need to do laundry and pack because I'm going to Raleigh first thing tomorrow morning (6:30am flight....ugh) for a girls weekend with two of my BMs. We will go shop for dresses but mostly go to the pool and eat and drink. I can't wait! It's been 8+ months since I've seen either of them.

@CocoBellaF Color me jealous of your half days.

I wish I had exciting things to talk about to today....or some half days/spare vacation days to AW (looking at @southernpeach89 here and her two 3 day work weeks in a row!).

I'm just really glad it's almost Friday. I'd much rather talk about my weekend. On Saturday we're going with another couple up to the mountains for a big wine festival! Tickets were $30 and they get us tastings at 5 different wineries. I figured it was a pretty good deal since you normally pay around $10 per tasting. I think you get some other perks and discounts too! H is our DD and I have doubts that we'll make it to all 5 since I normally start feeling pretty drunk face after 3, but I guess we'll see!

@jenjen047 - I am a project manager. I usually work 6:45-3:45 Mon-Thurs, and then a half day on Friday... but as long as I hit 80 hours in a pay period, I can flex my time as needed. I worked over last week and a little bit early this week, so I get to take off early today and tomorrow!

So since my car is in the shop, I'm using my bf's car. I thought since he was car-less he'd be home and didn't take my house keys. I was wrong, he got his dad's truck. When I got home from work he wasn't there, and I had to stand on the front porch while it poured for 40 minutes. Oh and I had to pee. It was not fun.

Mechanic still hasn't figured out why my car was overheating. They said there isn't a leak though so that's good news at least.

Tonight is dinner with a friend, then more house stuff.

@jenjen047 Enjoy your girls weekend!!! Also, I didn't want to respond on the Monday thread but I'm glad the dinner wasn't as condescending as you thought it would be. I know what you mean by having a different idea about what you'd like to do on your HM. Luckily we went to such a random place (Munich) that we didn't get a ton of unwanted comments other than ..."Why Germany? Why aren't you going to the beach?".

@CocoBellaF - I would be suspicious too! But I'm naturally suspicious of everything and everyone LOL Apparently there are a ton of email addresses for a few banks that we do business with and I'm DYING to see them in case I know anyone. I know there's a site where you can search an email address but I want to see the whole list!

@lavenderfields13 - Everything is crossed for you guys! I agree about both of them.

@500days - Did you get the pork this week also? I made that last night and it was really, really good.

@jenjen047 - One of us could have sent you a free referral! It would have been good for 1 week (3 meals for 2 people or 2 meals for 4 people). I totally agree about the Duggars. At first, I kind of felt bad for his wife, but I just cannot get over her staying by his side through the last scandal. I honestly don't believe a person like him can change so to me, she has chosen to keep her daughters in danger by staying with him.

Yesterday was a huge day, guys. I paid off my student loans...completely. I'm 33 so its about time but it was the government loans I paid off (private were paid off a long time ago). It wiped out half my savings but H is right that that money was just sitting there collecting no interest at the bank. Scary to see your bank account go down like that but, at the same time, a moment of pride.

Today is work, work, work, gym then likely crash tonight. AF is due today or tomorrow and I'm feeling her impending arrival. Blah! I'm excited for the weekend though...we are going boating with my aunt and her wife (they have an 18 foot boat so not huge but a good size). Fingers crossed for good weather.

Last night was actually really busy. I went to a happy hour to celebrate someone from our office who is retiring. Our boss has never shut down the office early (and I have also never seen him drink) but he did both yesterday! Then I went to Zumba with my favorite instructor. DH went to pick up our new coffee table and side tables for the living room. So excited to see them (unfortunately we have to assemble them first). Then we had enough time to watch a little tv before heading to bed. My eyes are on the prize now. It's almost the weekend!!!

@swazzle - Yum, burgers! I can't say that I'm really surprised about Duggar. Grossed out, yes. Surprised, (unfortunately) no.
@Peaseblossom55 - I would LOVE to work at home, although I don't know that I'd ever get out of pajamas. My favorite days are the ones where I can wear pj's all day, shower, and get right back into pj's.
@CocoBellaF - I don't blame you. I wouldn't be running in the dark either (despite the fact that I feel very safe in our neighborhood).
@lavenderfields13 - That's going to feel so good paying off your car! What was the Jared from Subway thing about? Haven't heard anything on that.
@500days - What's the weather like up there?
@jenjen047 - I get itchy shaving too. Didn't realize you had to do that before a laser appt. I'm assuming that you can't use lotion after you shave? That's the only thing that keeps me from itching too bad.
@labro - That sounds like such a fun weekend!
@speakeasy14 - Man, you are having some rough days. Hope things get better soon! Dinner with friends always makes me feel better

Thanks, ladies! I paid for college and law school on my own so my debt load was a little high. I'm feeling pretty proud of being done with loans though (well, other than our mortgage obviously). We've been on a saving spree lately...its hard but all for the best. H and I want to retire early (who doesn't) and open a tiki bar in Mexico. Ya'll will be welcome to visit any time of course.

We are still a long way from that dream but you have to have a goal, right?

We got the bed frame last night!! Matt's putting it together tonight. The heat is suppose to break today/tonight, so it won't feel as bad.

Since this week has been spent mostly at ikea, we're just laying low tonight. Typically this is our grocery night but better deals start tomorrow anyways. (whoo dollar deals!!!)

Matt's got a blood donation appointment on Saturday, and looks like we're hitting beach and doing house warming that afternoon. May end up just hanging out at the beach since we'll be showing up later.

I'm glad it suppose to rain since there has been a burn ban on and our friend's place has huge property for a bonfire.

Our financial adviser knows my mum very well, and he said he was really impressed with me when Matt and I went to speak with him regarding mortgages to be sure we're on the right track.

She says it's completely on where I work, but I think it's a mix of how I was raised and that. I see people coming in my age and in such financial hardship .... I just don't want to be like that.
