I'm tired guys. My weekends seem to go so quickly. H and I had fun though. Saturday I didn't make it to the gym. Boo. Instead I did some meal prep planning. H and I putzed around the house some and then we went to the movies. We had passes for the movie so H didn't buy the tickets in advance like I told him too (I figured you pay, pick seats, go to the theater and they reimburse you but at least you got to pick your seats that way) so of course it was sold out when we got there. Ha! He took me to our favorite dive bar instead and we had a cocktail or two. Oh and I had gluten free pizza. I'm sure I gained 5 lbs but it was worth it.

Sunday we had a construction project at our house (our sidewalk is being replaced) and H and I monitored that while I cooked for the week. We tried again with the movie on Sunday (Mission Impossible) utilizing my strategy and it worked beautifully if I do say so myself.

I'm sad its Monday but H cracked me up this morning. So English isn't his first language and he was taught English by this old school marm so he always has these random phrases he says. This morning he was trying to tell me how he needs to get certain things in order for our trip and, in trying to describe it, he told me he has to get his "cocks in place"...I just started crying/laughing and said I didn't think that was what he meant and I think the phrase he was searching for was "ducks in a row". LOL...this man is hilarious.

What craft project, if any, would you do to represent your moods for a year? What do you think it would look like based on your overall mood? Something with food.

What do you do on a Monday to cheer yourself up? Coffee and maybe a little chocolate.

If you're a weirdo who doesn't hate Monday, is there a day you don't like? The last day of any vacation.

@beachyone15 I will definitely check that place out when I'm in Austin next (which will hopefully be sometime before the end of the year). It sounds really fun! I'm glad I'm not the only one who responds to excessive alcohol this way-- I've never had this kind of reaction before. It could definitely be much worse though.

@peaseblossom55 It really was! I can't get over how wonderful it was. I had the absolute best time. We had a really good group, and there was no drunk drama or anything. I'm also in complete shock that I drank as heavily as I did without getting sick. I normally have no tolerance for alcohol lol.

@minskat30 Thanks! I need to track down the rest of the pics. Allegedly there's video of me dancing on stage too. hahahaha. OMG "cocks in place" is hilarious!

@eilis1228 - Rest assured your invitatons wouldn't be in bulk mail sorting... that's for valpak mailers and stuff like that. But still scary!! Side note re: drinking. On vacation in Hilton Head, I kept getting heartburn. All the sugar in the alcohol combined with all the cake (so much cake!!) resulted in at least three different instances of heartburn. Isn't adulthood fun?

My weekend:

Friday - We watched Going Clear, the documentary. It was pretty good. Scientology is such a scam, holy hell....... We also bought Mortal Combat X. My BF is way better at video games than me, so I never play (lose) more than 3 or 4 rounds before I'm done for a while, haha.

Saturday - I cleaned a ton in the morning, then in the afternoon we had a couple of friends over to make beer, which included also drinking lots of beer. Tried to beat BF at MK and lost again.

Sunday - We were bums for a good chunk of the day. I went to my co-worker's housewarming party and they announced that he and his wife were pregnant by having a sign on their front door. It was pretty cute, but I ended up leaving early because all anyone wanted to talk about was their baby, whereas I came to see the house. Baby talk is not my thing......... Later, I tried to beat BF at MK and lost again.

@minskat30 omg cocks in place. That is fucking hilarious, I love it!! My best friend married a man from Romania and while he speaks perfect English, he also messes up jokes and doesn't "get" a lot of sarcasm or witty jokes. So she will call me all the time and say "I just said the best response to Daniel and he didn't get it, but it's so witty I need someone to appreciate it please" and she's right, they are always amazing so I'm glad to appreciate them for her.

What craft project, if any, would you do to represent your moods for a year? What do you think it would look like based on your overall mood? Maybe I'd get a LONG canvas and stick one crayon to it every day, based on my mood. Then at the end of the year I'd melt them! I think it would be a lot of pretty blues (which would not mean sadness). I think the darker the color, the darker the mood. There would be no pink. I never feel pink.

What do you do on a Monday to cheer yourself up? Not work. I talk to coworkers for the first chunk of the day, hang out on the internet, answer e-mails as they come up but no one gets too much done on Mondays around here. I sound like such a useless employee. I'm actually quite useful! I promise!

If you're a weirdo who doesn't hate Monday, is there a day you don't like? Tuesday is my least favorite. Always lots of meetings, and it's the farthest away from the weekend besides Monday.

I've got a shitton to get done today, so I can't chat very much, but I wanted to say hello to all of you!

Our final wine tasting event. This was the one legit wine tasting we did and it was so fun. Also, snacks, because at this point in the day, everyone was getting a little tipsy.

The hotel was doing a Wizard of Oz theme, so they had a yellow brick road. These two were totally in character as Dorothy tried to get the Cowardly Lion to hit on the bride.

I had to leave early (sometimes it totally blows working for a church), so I missed the part where Eilis ripped her dress. It was seriously so much fun. I hadn't been to the club in years, and these girls are really great. Also a plus, getting to know the bridal party before you have to spend the whole wedding day together.

Eilis's reception is going to be the biggest party of the year.

Sorry guys I skimmed the posts since I'm super busy today but wanted to say hi!

@jenna8984 Congrats on closing!! Me and H just randomly start slow dancing to nothing while hugging sometimes lol.

@southernpeach89 WHERE do you get all this energy? Baking cookies for the doctors and nurses? I have never heard of anyone doing that, that is too sweet.

@eilis1228 Glad you had a great party, hope you start feeling better though ASAP. The nights where you rip your dress are always the best. I tore my dress at a friend's wedding before getting too low lol.

What do you do on a Monday to cheer yourself up? Nothing. I don't hate Mondays that much because the day usually goes by really fast at work and right now H is off on Mondays so I actually get to see him

If you're a weirdo who doesn't hate Monday, is there a day you don't like? I hate Tuesdays. The day ALWAYS drags for me and it's so far from Friday.

Friday I went to ON and Target to do some returns on my way home. I ended up picking up a pair of sweatpants from ON - I don't know when they started making women's sweatpants with pockets but it's about time! It always bothered me that they guys got pockets and we didn't!

Then I picked up a pizza for dinner and headed home. I finished reading a book and cleaned up around the house since the potential buyers of the house were having an inspection done the next morning.

Saturday we woke up really early for that inspection so that sucked. My landlord ended up calling me later on to let me know that these buyers want tenants so we might be able to stay..? No idea if they're going to go through with the purchase though or how much they'd charge us for rent. Now I want to know! The rest of Saturday was spent doing laundry and being lazy.

Yesterday H was off and we did some errands- I actually got him to good food shopping with me- every time he goes I remember why I don't actually want him to- he picks up all this stuff that we don't need! Before we did that though we went to an open house for an apartment. Another place that was just OK. Pros- in our neighborhood, first floor, free laundry in the basement, same size as our place now. Cons- still on-street parking which looked kind of scarce, not quite as nice looking as our place, extra $500/month. H seemed to like it but I just wasn't feeling it.

@cu97tiger I know you're right about the invitations... just my own little irrational fears popping up. My jaw dropped when I saw news articles posted on FB about the three-alarm fire in the big bulk mail sorting center. I will feel MUCH better when I hear from local people today or tomorrow about receiving their invitation.

And yes, I know exactly what you mean about heartburn from sugar and alcohol. Why can't our bodies handle partying anymore?

@lavenderfields13 hahahaha That's exactly how I ripped my dress! I really need to look at the rip to see if I can fix it... just haven't worked up the courage to do so yet. That's really hopeful news about the new potential buyer wanting tenants! How great would that be if you guys could just stay where you are? I hope you get more info about the buyer ASAP!

Happy Monday girls!

This weekend I worked both days for a few hours then relaxed and tried to stay cool in this 100* weather!

Today is my day off and I took our puppy to the dog park. I have interviews the next two days and then Cory and I will get a day off together on Weds!

Crafty and me don't get along much. I bake or cook more for others than anything which Cory is starting to hate cuz he eats leftovers and is trying to lose weight haha I do like to make DIY gift baskets and jars with useful stuff though. I usually get creative when it comes to gifts at the holidays!

Typically Mondays I have off lately or don't work til graveyard shift Monday night and I don't mind them much but to cheer me up I grab Starbucks, grab a treat, and read or lay down on my laptop online.

When I work normal weeks I hate Monday's!
