  So work has been crazy, but I have been thinking about all of you! Nothing new today, but I have some exciting news from this past weekend.

  
  

  FI and I went to Los Angeles this weekend. I had a hair and makeup trial with someone in Beverly Hills who also will be in upstate NY by next summer, but I wasn't entirely thrilled. I am still thinking about it. I liked the hair, but not the makeup. 

  
  

  FI had never been, so we made a trip out of it. We got a free upgrade to a suite when we checked into the hotel and they gave us champagne! After my hair and makeup trial on Saturday, FI and I went and had brunch, and then decided to walk around Rodeo Drive. He loved looking at all of the different watch stores and narrowed down his engagement watch choices (we have yet to get him one because he can't make up his mind). 

  
  

  Anyways, he knew I had been eyeing nice shoes for the wedding and after, specifically Jimmy Choo's, so he asked if I wanted to go look at them. We did, and I tried on ones that I had seen online that I liked, and I fell in love. Since we survived the layoffs and recently got small bonuses, he told me that I should buy them. So I did! 

  
  

  I am having them made to order, but they are going to look like this, and have a date plaque on the sole with our wedding date:

  
  

  
  

  
  

  I am sooooo excited. They are going to match my bouquet and color scheme, and it is something that will hopefully last a while and that I can wear again after the wedding with a nice pair of jeans and shirt or dress when we go out. They are my first pair of designer shoes too. They should be ready in about 10 weeks!

  Thanks @peaseblossom55 and @bethsmiles! I still can't believe that I ordered them. It doesn't seem real, and I don't think it will until they are here!
