Evening

Re: Evening

  • Aw, thanks Ray! I'm thanking my PowerPoint skills right now because I'm apparently magical with it. My boss literally asked me for my magic earlier today and he was talking about PP.

Dancing flourishes? I want to see this.
  • Evening all,

Ballroom dancing sounds fun, as does spagetti.  Layoffs not so fun, sorry bout the rough day Midge.

  • Has anyone seen the shown Dance Moms? It reminds me in some ways of Toddlers and Tiaras. I just stumbled across it this weekend and it's on right now.

  • MUNI and MK - what do you think about meeting somewhere for lunch Sunday? I'm okay with driving to Raleigh ( isn't that where you are muni?) or you could come here?
  • Ciara, if you need new clothes, go for the clothes. Dress the body you have, not the one you want to have . And if, in the end, you have to buy new clothes, consider it a good thing. Wink

The pineapple is one of my favorites Loopy. Today I got a blood orange one as well, and it's pretty tasty. I actually like the texture of this better than regular yogurt-that's a little slimey for me.
  • Hair now, clothes as a reward for losing the lbs C.
  • I totally agree with Jill Ciara!

  • Alright, I need to get started on my hair so I can straighten it and get to bed at a reasonable hour. Night ladies and Charmin!

  • I don't need new clothes. I have plenty. Actually I need to purge it and get rid of lots of things. I should just stick with my hair.

  • I would absolutely LOVE to meet the two of you for lunch!

I have a kids birthday party in Cary (near Raleigh) at 3, so meeting nearer to Raleigh than not would be best for me- so that we could have more time for lunch!
  • Ok, so I'm watching Once Upon a Time from Sunday.

    **Spoiler**

I'm so pissed about Graham. I cannot believe they killed him.

  • For the first few months I ate greek yogurt I mixed granola with it to make it "parfait-style". then I ran out of granola and didn't get to the store for a few days so I ate it "straight" and now I just eat it.

So - you people are good with words... help me wordsmith my resume objective?  I think I don't like it. (and making it better will obviously result in a new job in CO just falling out of the sky into my lap - DUH).  Here's what I've got:

To acquire a position within a company that will utilize my diverse manufacturing experience including procurement, planning, and supervision.  To leverage my leadership skills and strategic thinking to the mutual benefit of the company’s goals and my continued professional growth.

I feel like it's choppy, but if I make it one sentence (change the "to" to an "and" it's REALLY long.

[QUOTE]I do not want snazzy outfits.  There are these guys that practice at the place we take lessons.  They're the same sex ballroom latin men's world champions, or some other combination of all of those words.  They're very.... flowy.  They have outfits.  They do things with their hands when they dance.  Y'know, like... flourishes?  This is not what I'm signing up for.

    Pictures and or video? Please?
I used to get yelled at by our little German instructor for adding funky footwork into the swing. I can't help it, my feet love fourth position!!!!

  • MKrup, YGPM back
  • H and I enjoyed learning the waltz for our wedding.  I wouldn't mind doing a little more lessons and learning some other dances/moves.  Maybe some day.  I like to watch it.  My cousins competed in ballroom dancing in Germany (they live there.. not like they went there just to ballroom dance) and my mom has some fun pictures of them in costume and stuff.

I'm working on my "Do Not Play Under Any Circumstances" list for the DJ and so far I have anything Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Grethen Wilson or Big & Rich. Any songs/artists anyone thinks I should add?

  • Are there any "fun" dances you don't want, Midge?  Chicken dance, etc?
  • I got the cinnamon apple Chobani too today, Jill.  I'm excited to try it.

However, for dessert, I'm trying that vegan ice cream made out of bananas recipe that special (?) posted last night.
  • Muni, I LOVE all of the fun dances. They're all on my Play List. :)
  • Loopy, I thought putting an objective on a resume wasn't the done thing anymore?

  • Awesome Holly!  Nice work Holly's FI.  Good luck to him.
  • Ditto Anna. My resume has a Summary at the top. Three or four sentences about my work experience and myself. I can send you my resume if you'd like to see it.

<div>Heh.  Not surprised at all.  </div><div>
</div><div>I'm discussing with FI that mayhap we should not allow ALL of them to play.  </div>
  • I have never made a resume. I have no clue what to include in one.

  • Mica, frozen bananas and cocoa? Good stuff!

Yay for your FI Holly! That's exciting. I would kill for H to work normal hours. He works in retail, so his "weekends" are Mondays and Fridays.
