@minskat30 - Breaking Bad is awesome, but I didn't get addicted until a few episodes in. I also got hooked on Rescue Me.

@GoldenPenguin - My aunt fell down stairs like that and was legit fucked up for more than 3 months. Really be nice to yourself. It's probably not a bad idea to see a doctor. Poor thing, though. She said it was late at night and she really wanted a cookie.

Friday night wasn't super interesting. I think I just went to bed early.

Saturday I met my work friend in downtown Portland for brunch at a fancy schmancy restaurant place and we drank mimosas and I ate a monte cristo. It was absolutely pouring rain and the walk to the theatre ended with me having completely drenched shoes. We went and saw 42nd Street, which was not my favorite. I enjoy good dance routines, but if there aren't any good singing songs to go along with them, then I'm not super interested.

I got home and had my ginormous bowl of candy ready, but we didn't get many kids at all. I realized the rain would deter a lot of trick or treaters, so I gave almost all the kids a giant handful (except these two twin boys that dressed like Woody and Buzz, they got two handfuls), and after 20 trick or treaters it was after 7:30 and I had managed to empty the bowl. I wanted to watch a horror movie but BF wouldn't agree to anything so I put on Legally Blonde instead, haha!

Yesterday I did a ton of cross stitching. BF and his buddy got day drunk, and there was definitely some interesting conversation. I watched a bunch of Inside Amy Schumer, and I'm kind of depressed that my cross stitching project is going to take so long. I should have chosen something smaller.

Good Morning Ladies,

I am unreasonably tired today for gaining an extra hour of sleep.

Friday my H went out with his friend so my neighbor and I got together. We carved pumpkins and ate chili then we watched hocus pocus and she drank wine - I had tea.

Saturday I woke up full of energy. I made French toast for breakfast then H went outside to work on mowing the lawn/cleaning up the garage. I cleaned/folded 3 loads of laundry, vacuumed, dusted and did the dishes all before noon. That evening we went to my brothers Halloween party. I dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. My brother and his gf dressed as wine and cheese.

Sunday I meal planned and went grocery shopping. I also stopped at the craft store to make a little basket to put rags by the backdoor. We wipe our pup’s paws off when she comes in and I wanted somewhere to put the rags. Later I went over to a friend’s house and watched her wedding video , I’m a tad jealous now that we didn’t have a videographer.

This week H took off Wednesday and Thursday and he plans on tiling our bathroom floor. Then on Saturday the nursery is getting painted. I’m so excited to get stuff done!

Tonight I’m going to a concert with my brother. I got him the tickets for his bday but didn’t fully realize it was on a Monday night. I’m excited but already dreading how tired I’ll be tomorrow.

@jenna8984 Yep! This is the recipe I made. I think next time I may sub in butternut squash though since my grocery store doesn't regularly have pumpkin for sale. I wouldn't use canned pumpkin, it ruins the chunkiness.

@AlPacina I saw 42nd Street on broadway when I was in high school (part of a school trip) and I honestly don't remember much aside from the cool sets and lights and the dancing.

@Jstump2 That basket is cute, and much more appealing than the pile of rags I always had by the door for dog feet, haha.

For lunch today I decided to take a walk since the weather was really nice. Picked up my tickets to see Bill Nye the Science Guy give a presentation at the museum, which is a free event and tickets were all reserved within an hour. I managed to snag 8, so it's going to be me, BF, BF's roommate, one of my friends, and I'm extending the invite to BF's and my parents. We have plenty of friends who would compete in a Hunger Games to get any leftover tickets, so I'm hoping the parents all decide to come so I don't have to be a bad guy. I also finally stopped at this new place called Butter it Up, which sells butter coffee and gluten free/vegan food. I had never had butter coffee, and still haven't since I ordered something else. But omg my coffee is so freakin good. I got the one that's blended with cocoa butter, cream, and some maple syrup. My mouth does a dance with each sip.

@helloliv I'm freaking out, dude! I'm starting to fret over little things and I really shouldnt! I feel like I have a thousand things to do, but it will all work out, so I just need to breathe. I can feel the tension building up in the back of my neck so I'm trying to remember to relax my shoulders and take deep breaths.

I seriously can't believe the wedding week is here. I'm praying to the weather gods right now. I did what I know I never should have done, and have obsessed about the weather and checked it on 2 apps at least 3 times a day. And it has changed a million times. Just when I think we're golden, the rain comes back and laughs at me. In the end all will be well and it wont matter one bit. I'm trying to remember that. I just really hope we can get some outdoor sunset photos.

Hope everyone had an awesome Halloween weekend! I had to compete with a trunk or treat that had a DJ and pony rides across the street from my house. I lost.

I can't compete with the cupid shuffle and ponies. Just can't. I mean, even I wanted to be there. We had 5 kids the WHOLE night. Five.

It seemed like he let the cheese harden so he could cut slices, but it still wasn't strong enough to hold it together. I've moved on to a fork already. Kind of disappointing, but I'll still consider it a celebration, haha!

@peaseblossom55 - The cast was HUGE. They did a final dance number after the first round of bows, and I couldn't believe they weren't kicking the crap out of each other having the stage so full. I'm guessing they rotated dancers between routines, so the cast actually ended up being a lot bigger. Have you ever been in Anything Goes? I love the dancing for that show too!

@alpacina Congrats, keep it up!! Same thing happened to my husband. When he quit smoking he replaced it with food and gained some weight (over 2 years time) but I do not care! Having an extra 15 lbs on him is still so much healthier than a pack a day! You keep at it girl.

My weekend was chock full of adventure and excitement.

Thursday morning I worked on the road, which was really nice. I'm teaching a seminar on sex-positive/body-positive youth ministry in January, so I worked on my outline for that. Then all the wedding festivities for @eilis1228 began! We had her rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which were really fun. The food was incredible and her family is hilarious. Her step dad is a party animal and I love it.

Friday, as Eilis already recapped, was wedding day. It was such a gorgeous ceremony and the whole day was so much fun. She definitely had some of the best wedding food I've ever had. It was right up there with @hummingbird25's BBQ feast. We danced the night away and did a glow stick toss for the send off. The best man and I ended up soaking wet during clean up, and I watched him narrowly avoid a pretty nasty wreck on the way home. The driving conditions and the intensity of the storm gave me flashbacks to the flood I got caught in in May, so by the time I got home, I was not in a pleasant mood and I was still soaking wet in my chiffon dress. H was great and unloaded the perishables from the car while I changed and fell asleep on the couch.

Saturday we slept in past noon, which was glorious. We had fajitas and enchiladas for lunch and they were so good. Then we took all the leftover beer and wine to Eilis and her H (!!!!!) so they could return it all. As a thank you, she gave us a case of beer and a whole pan of leftover wedding cake! Always help the new bride, people!

That night, H and I went out with some of Eilis's friends (I guess I can call them my friends now, too?). We bar hopped in costumes for the night. There was a lot of alcohol involved. One of the guys lost his wallet at the last bar around 1:30, so we decided it was time to go home. There was a major Uber mix up, and somehow H and I ended up paying almost $50 in Uber fares. I still don't remember exactly what happened. Lots of laughter and dancing meant it was a successful night overall. I'll probably never, ever do bar hopping on Halloween night again. Nope, nope, nope.

Sunday morning woke up still a little tipsy and went to work. Same old, same old. I crashed on the couch and ate fast food twice yesterday with no regrets.

ETA: I hit post too soon...

Monday is Monday. I'm heading to a middle school football championship game here in a bit and then home for dinner. I'm feeling super lazy, so it may just be a frozen pizza. I did leave chicken out to defrost this morning, though.
