VERY unpopular opinion: I never thought Brad Pitt was hot. No, he isn't ugly, but I never thought he was attractive.
I feel this way about Johnny Depp. I don't get the obsession.
These plus Tom Cruise for me.
ETA - I've seen a lot of celebrities in person, including Brad Pitt. Big mistake, they often look nothing like the do in pictures. Such a disappointment.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
I don't know what my problem is, but he just doesn't do it for me. I rarely tell anyone I know because of the extreme reaction I get. If you want to know, Kyle Chandler is my celebrity crush!
Why do we need to attach "moon" to trips these days? Babymoon, anniversary-moon, etc. Why can't it just be a fucking vacation?

UO - I hate "It's a Wonderful Life", worse movie ever! That little girl's voice annoys the crap out of me, so even when there is a commercial for the movie, I always here that whiny voice since she says one of the most popular lines.

My favorite part of Its a Wonderful Life is the weird alternate universe he ends up in. The rest of the movie is so boring.
@labro , I'm with you all the way regarding Dr Who & Apple devices. I had an ex who said he was upset that I wouldn't watch Dr Who with him. He never asked me to, and I had never heard of the show before, so how was I supposed to know that I was supposed to watch it with him!??!?!
Additional UO (maybe?) I don't get Reddit. I have no idea what it's for and how to use it.
@holyguacamole79 My H is a big Reddit guy and while I don't claim to understand it....I still go there regularly for the puppy and kitten photos (look for the r/aww tag).
This is more of an "I judge" than an UO b/c I don't know if this is popular or not, but I hate pets in clothes.
Confession: I LOVE pets in clothes. In a kind of ironic way though. (Another confession: I like doing things because it's "ironic" even though that's not what irony really means).
UOs:
I don't get why everyone likes Adele. I tried to listen to Hello at the behest of a coworker, and I didn't even make it through the whole song.
I think eggnog is gross. Also, the only things that should be "Pumpkin spice" flavored are pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread.
I HATE Shrek. And Finding Nemo. And Wall-E. I will never understand why these movies were so popular.
I agree with PPs re: Elf on the Shelf. Santa is already watching you all the time to make sure you are being good; why the hell to do we need an ELF as well? Let's make all the kids paranoid that they are being watched by a creepy-ass doll that comes alive at night. Cool.
I loved Episodes IV, V, and VI of Star Wars (didn't like I, II, or III), but I haven't seen VII yet and I'm tired of the whole franchise because it's been overmarketed.

Related to the Elf. My grandma (who was German which basically means she was culturally required to tell us scary stories like Krampus) told us that certain nutcrackers she had in her house came alive at night whenever we slept over. They patrolled the house and if they found us out of bed they would come and bite our fingers. I was terrified to ever let my fingers dangle off the side of the bed because of those damn nutcrackers! No Elf needed here!

The difference between George Lucas owning Star Wars and Disney owning it. You can literally get something Star Wars at every store, there are no more carefully vetted Star Wars items being sold at select stores.
I have not seen the new one yet, but I am excited to see what JJ Abrams can do with the story lines. I have really liked JJ Abrams' work for a while now, even before Lost.
I adore koozies and I don't give a shit if they're personalized. It's like the one thing that I'll use again and again and it doesn't matter to me if the colors are NMS or it has someone's wedding date on it. It keeps my beer cold and condensation off my hands.
I hate Ikea furniture.
me too. We had personalized one from our wedding. 7 years later I still have some of my guests send pictures of them still using them. I will admit my family/friends are big backyard BBQ, beach, pool and boating people. So koozies are generally a mainstay. No one care what is on the koozies, only that they have one. I have a stockpile. When I lived in the islands one was in my bag at all times.
I wouldn't say that I adore them, but I don't think they're as tacky as others make it sound. My parents' house is on a lake, and they have a large bin of koozies. Whenever we go out on the water, we'll reach in & grab one. It may be from Jen & Phil's wedding in 2002 or a company freebie you get when you walk by their booth at a convention.
I mean for me, it's something I am not going to buy for myself right? So I'm only getting it as a freebie or at a wedding or a shower or something. I do adore some of them because they bring back fun memories when I pull them out. Obviously I like to create emotional attachments to random objects.
I don't really like Chipotle. I don't dislike it, but I don't think it's the best ever.
ETA: People who can't pronounce Chipotle annoy me. It's not Chipolte.
Chipotle tastes good to me, but I always get the bowl. And for some reason, the bowls make me hungry 1 hour after eating it. No matter what I put in them. I need the tortilla in order to stay full. But I'm trying to cut carbs.
Johnny Depp thing for me too. He just LOOKS dirty. Never liked him. I do love the SNL skit Amy Schumer did a few weeks ago on girls saying Bradley Cooper "doesn't do it for them" either...."you must have a golden vagina and I respect that" (or something along those lines) LOL

I don't think Tom Brady is hot.... Which seems to be a super UO in New England!
Another UO - I hate the movie Elf. Hate. It. I don't find it even a little funny. I also don't like Christmas Vacation but my MIL loves it so we watch it every year on Christmas day.

I actually would like to see it at some point - when all the hoopla has died down a bit. By then of course I'll probably know the story because of spoilers.
Going along with the Adele thing, I don't get why ANY artist or album is something to swoon over (musicwise, that is, b/c I would shank any one of you to get to Adam Levine). A new album from someone gets released, and people act like it has changed their life.
I'm just not big into any particular music, I guess.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I do not get having to be the first to see, hear or possess something. Big deal, you saw Star Wars before me or spent DAYS outside waiting outside of an Apple Store to get the very first one.
I don't get it. Movies and albums will still be around the next day and in some cases some 70 years later. No need to have to be the first one.

Can someone post a picture of a koozie please!
Its the thing you put around you drink so it stays cold/your hand stays warms and dry. I was engaged for literally less than a week and ordered koozies as my favor. Since I've been on the knot I realize they aren't as great as I thought but I'm still glad I did them- I like seeing my family use them.
I love koozies too. We didn't do wedding favors, but if we did they would have been koozies. I collect them - can shaped ones, bottle shaped ones, extra large ones for tall boys... We have a grocery bag full of them.
My Christmas-related one is I don't like the movie A Christmas Story. Not entirely sure why but it just drives me crazy. I can laugh at a few things and I can tolerate it once per season at best but I'd be ok not seeing it ever again.
For some reason, the expression "I'll do" or "I did" when ordering food or traveling irks me. Like, I'll do the Caesar salad. Oh, we went on a trip to Florence, Paris and London so now we've "done Europe." It makes things sound transactional instead of nuanced and enjoyable. Now that I've "done" that I can take it off my to-do list.
I don't think Tom Brady is hot.... Which seems to be a super UO in New England!
My best friend used to agree with you, and then she was working a Michigan football booster dinner and told him where to find the bathrooms. She had no idea who he was so she asked who the hot, rich guy was and was laughed at.
UO Christmas movie style: I don't really like Home Alone. I think I did for a while and now they're meh.
I'm also terrified of Keifer Sutherland. If he were walking towards me on a street, I would run away. I know he's an actor and it's an illogical fear but I've never been able to watch anything with him in it after "A time to kill" and "An eye for an eye."

hahaha I just said that on the honeymoon board! Just go in a god damned vacation!
I don't like Doctor Who and I don't get the craze. I watched it quite a bit in college and yeah, I don't get it.
I don't like cable TV.
I don't get the craze for iPhones and other Apple devices.
Not sure if this is a UO but based on the Christmas thread....I really hate garland on trees. It looks old-fashioned to me.

Another poster said it but I don't like Seinfeld.
I don't like the Beatles either.

@banana468 Ditto on Johnny Depp. I don't get it at all
