Woo hoo! We made it!

H and I are going to see the Revenant tonight! I love Leo, I have for 20 years now, and I'm so stoked to see him in this movie. I really hope this is his year!

I literally have nothing else on the agenda for the rest of the weekend and it's a long one for me since I'm off for MLK Day on Monday. I have a shit ton of laundry to do and the house needs a good cleaning so I'm leaning towards tackling all of that tomorrow to get it out of the way so I can relax on Sunday and Monday.

I'm hoping to finish book #4 today! I'm reading "Three Wishes" by Liane Moriarty and it's soooooo good. I spent all of last night reading and didn't want to put it down when I had to go to bed.

@Swazzle Ugh jealous of your long weekend! I don't get MLK day off this year unfortunately but DH does so Callie will probably just stay home with him.

My vacuum is fixed and I'm picking it up this afternoon! The internet guy also stopped by and upgraded our internet package so our connection doesn't suck completely anymore.

Today I have to run to UPS so ship back all our old internet equipment and pick up the vacuum. I'll probably get some laundry done and then CrossFit before I go pick up Callie.

Tomorrow I'm pulling out my Valentine's decor and that's happening!

Sunday my friend from high school is coming over to meet Callie and then I'm going to my parent's house for dinner.

I'm wearing a gray sweater from Loft and dark blue jeans from American Eagle that I've had for YEARS and sperrys.

Getting all my Valentine's Day stuff out!

Sean is working both Saturday and Sunday so I won't get to see him much.

I would say either New York and do all the fun things there or Colorado and go skiing.

France or basically anywhere in Europe. I would really like to go to Ireland.

Almost all of my favorite things!! My favorite B&W striped shirt, my favorite jacket from LOFT, my favorite scarf, and the only dark denim skirt I have that fits.

I'm looking forward to spending the entire time in loungewear. Also, Cricket is staying with us from tonight until Monday so I'm excited to see her.

It's going to get cold and snow. Yesterday it was 60 degrees!

Hmmm... I think somewhere warm where I could just lay around and bask in the sun, without a lot of people around. A blogger I used to follow went to Costa Rica and it looked SO NICE, so maybe there? Or Italy, because pasta.

I made it through almost all of yesterday. I puked more yesterday than I have in weeks, OMG. I went home after my last meeting ended at 2:45. I had to pick up my mom's dog, Truffles (we are dog-sitting TWO extra dogs this weekend). My parents and brother are in NYC this weekend. Anyway, Truffles is crazy. CRAZY. So I had to put her in her crate so I could lay down for 30 minutes before piano lessons started. I taught lessons and then did tutoring. H brought me a chocolate milkshake for dinner because I couldn't keep anything down. I was starving. And then we went to a neighbor's house to look at a jogging stroller they were selling... and bought it! It was originally $200-250 but we got it for $40 because they had it a couple years. The MP3 player works and everything. Our first baby purchase. I told the baby last night that we bought it something, so it could quit throwing a fit and be good. We'll see.

I'm off at 11:15 today, so I'll go pick up Cricket and then hang out at the house with all of the animals. Cricket's mom said she was making us something to eat for dinner in exchange for watching Cricket all weekend, so I'm excited to have some home-cooked food in the house.

If you had a week off work and unlimited funds, where would you like to visit in the continental US? continental means Hawaii is excluded right? Um, Montana. It's random but I've always wanted to go to a secluded cabin on Flathead lake or Glacier National Park.
If you had two weeks off work and unlimited funds, where would you like to visit in the whole world? Probably split the week between France & Italy. I've been to neighboring countries but never those and really want to!

Also I got lazy last night and just made Velveeta mac & cheese instead of the taquitos, so those will be tonight.

I'm so glad it's Friday. Yesterday we got a surprise visit from the Inspector General's office at work. It doesn't have anything to do with me or my job but it was nerve racking all the same. When that was all over, I went home, did 40 minutes of Zumba and then watched episode 9 of MaM. I really wanted to watch the last one, but Idol was on and I was hungry so I will do that tonight so I can finish out the series.

What are you wearing today?
My new favorite top from Old Navy (it has a white body, then black lace trim that breaks up the sleeves and body, and the sleeves are gray), dark skinny jeans, boot socks, and black boots. There is no school today so I get to dress down and I feel comfy and cozy.

What are you most looking forward to about this weekend?
Patriots Playoff game tomorrow!! We are also going to look for paint to do the living room and kitchen because we want to get those done before the new couch comes. Also three day weekend!!!

What are you not looking forward to about this weekend?
The cold. Hopefully I will be inside all weekend though.

If you had a week off work and unlimited funds, where would you like to visit in the continental US?
I want to go to Disneyland. I haven't been and I would love to check it out. Maybe road trip there and back to check things out along the way.

I want to visit Rome and Egypt at some point in this lifetime. Egypt isn't really safe right now so if I had to choose I would pick Rome for now.

@jenna8984 - I checked, but none of the codes would work. It was only $37 with shipping so I just bought it. I've been waiting around for a code but they are being stingy! Oh well. I need a few more things before our trip to San Francisco in February. I'm trying not to buy a ton of stuff now because I'll really need warm weather clothes!

@CocoBellaF Your outfit is adorable! And congrats on the jogging stroller! Second hand for some of the big baby stuff is definitely worthwhile. I'm a little bummed today. I finally broke the news to H about the zika virus spreading in South America and the Carribean. I've been researching it for weeks in the hopes of getting a clearer picture on the threat of zika and its causal link to a major birth defect (there is NO causal link yet despite media reports to the contrary...I HATE sensational media) but there is proof that zika can be transmitted to fetuses.

Our trip to St Lucia (no documented cases of zika there yet but its just a matter of time realistically) may be off, especially if the CDC ends up issuing a warning for pregnant travelers (they are contemplating it right now). I'm talking to my doctor on Tuesday about this and bringing all my research. I'm really bummed if we have to cancel and lose half of our money for the hotel and the entire money for the air tickets (I used miles) plus this was a bucket list trip and H's Christmas/40th birthday present. I'm going to call the hotel today and the airline to see what other options they might have for us but I have a feeling they will tell us to go fly a kite. I'm really sad but trying to stay optimistic.

-A long weekend with H. I have Monday off.

@jenna8984 I never bought any maternity jeans but I bought some maternity shorts since I was pregnant over the summer and they are HEAVENLY! I feel like I should just pop those on whenever I plan to eat a lot lol. So comfy.

@minskat30 Ugh that sucks. I had heard about the virus but only to the extent that it wasn't fatal but it is transmitted from mosquitoes (I think?). Definitely talk to your doctor about it and give them a chance to do some independent research. How long until your trip?

@minskat30 oh no, I haven't heard about that virus yet. That really sucks, I hope you don't have to cancel but obviously you have to do what's best. The jeans were in the giant bin that my friend gave me. The tag is Old Navy which surprises me because their stuff never fits me properly and these fit perfect. Yesterday I fucked with the belly band for 15 minutes and decided I hated it and just used a hair band on my button instead hahah.

@labro - We were supposed to leave at the end of February. When I chatted with my doctor yesterday about our ultrasound results I previewed for her that I needed to talk to her about her opinions on zika (it was her day off yesterday and I didn't want to bother her about it then). I suggested we talk on Tuesday when I have my appointment and she agreed. I have a feeling she won't have any more information than I do though. I'm the Queen of research (truly, if its out there I'll find it). We will see... at the very least she will be a good logical sounding board.

@cocobellaf - I'm going to ask the resort if they would consider moving our reservation out a year but I doubt it. If the CDC issues a warning, travel to Mexico/the Caribbean/South America will likely be impacted in a very large way even though zika isn't really a huge deal (except for pregnant women).

@swazzle - I know.

I hesitated to tell H because I was still in information gathering mode. Thankfully I gathered enough info for him to not freak out and just cancel outright (he is the more panicked worrier of the two of us). If the CDC issues a warning though its pretty much game-over though as far as he is concerned.

I am so glad it's Friday I am ready for the weekend. I have off on Monday too. No plans for tonight. Saturday I am having 2 friends over for girl's night. Sunday we may go see my family for dinner. Monday H is working so I have the house to myself. I am not sure what I will do really.

I have a conference call with a geneticist this morning about the PGS process I'm hoping it goes well. I'd love some better news. Right now I'm dealing with a power point presentation I'm trying to put together and it's the last thing I want to deal with today. Is it 5pm???????

What are you most looking forward to about this weekend? Girls night tonight - there will be lots of wine, and I predict some drama. One of the girls decided to divorce her husband of two years for no real reason, and hasn't told any of us. We know because he told us. But I'm mostly looking forward to snuggling with my nieces.

What are you not looking forward to about this weekend? Cleaning my house. I swear living in a construction zone means no matter what it is always a disaster.

If you had a week off work and unlimited funds, where would you like to visit in the continental US? Only a week? I'd have a private jet and would start in New Orleans, stay for a night. From there I would fly to the Grand Canyon, explore the entire thing. Spend the night in a luxurious spa, and get pampered all night. Then spend the rest of the trip in California wine country, in a villa with a private butler. Oh and on my private plane would be a full staff to cater my every need.

If you had two weeks off work and unlimited funds, where would you like to visit in the whole world? Same private jet and staff. Private jet to the Mediterranean for a week, then would get on the jet and go to the Galapagos Islands for the second week. In both locations, I would have a private villa on the beach, and the drinks and food would be bottomless.

@jenna8984 - Is it bad that I'm not pregnant but I totally want elastic waist jeans? I always have a problem after I eat with my jeans constricting, which makes my tummy NOT happy. Elastic would totally solve that problem.

@minskat30 - I REALLY hope that you don't have to cancel that trip. Do they feel like tourist travellers would be affected or would it more likely be locals? How is zika transmitted?

Don't judge me, but I still haven't taken down my Christmas decorations. We left on 12/30, I was back for a week of work, then I was gone again. I'm thinking it will happen this Sunday.

This morning I went to Zumba. I don't know what has happened in the last few weeks, but I feel like I've finally turned a corner and some of the movements which used to feel impossible are now getting easier. And I feel SO much stronger. I'm not going to win any bodybuilding contests anytime soon, but it's nice to feel like I'm making progress.

Tonight one of my BFFs is going to be in town. I'm sure we'll have a blast drinking, eating and laughing. She leaves tomorrow afternoon, so I'll do laundry, go for a run, and watch Making a Murderer with DH (we finished episode 4 last night). Sunday will be taking down Christmas decorations. Monday... who knows! It's a free day. I have lunch scheduled with my boss's boss (when I did it, I forgot that was a non-work day).

@cu97tiger - We have our anatomy scan scheduled for Feb. 19. We have a boy name that we like and a girl name that we like. I'll share, but if anyone doesn't like them... I DON'T CURRRRRRR. Miqueas (Mee-kay-ahs) Uzziel (Oo-see-ehl) (Miqueas is Spanish for Micah, so he will go by both English and Spanish versions the way most children do) or Kennedy Rae. They both consist of family names. I think I've started to narrow down colors for the nursery. I'm leaning towards gender neutral (LINK) but then again, I also realllllllly leave the peachy blush pink color for a girl. So we'll see!

Oh, and @cu97tiger - the only reason our Christmas decorations were put away this week is because my H got tired of me whining that they needed to be taken down. He did it while I was at a pre-natal massage. WIN!!
