Ugh yesterday was so rough. I'm glad it's over. I talked to DH and he is considering taking a safe driving class to help our insurance. I'm still not comfortable with him driving yet. Hopefully this will teach him a serious lesson about paying more attention. It just terrifies me.

On a positive note though, Callie was super hilarious last night. I put her on her play mat naked and she went to town. She was rolling all over the place and scooting herself in circles. She was giggling and squealing the whole time. It was too funny. DH got a video of one her giggles and luckily she was dressed in the video so I will try to post it. SO CUTE! I was cracking up.

Not too much going on today. I need to dust and vacuum the house since the dog hair is collecting. Some time today I need to go pick up a new car seat base. Ugh...where is a beach and a margarita?!?

For dinner we are having calico bean soup and smoked sausage over rice and I might go to CrossFit if we get some time. Oh and I'm definitely not showing y'all what I look like today lol. Sweat pants and t-shirt it is!

Question for everyone: What are you getting BF/FI/H for V-day? I had this awesome idea for BF, I was going to surprise him with tickets to a Symphony performance of John Williams "blockbuster" music (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter), but it's one day only and I found out last week he is going out of town that weekend for a family thing. I had been planning this since before Christmas

So now I have to start from scratch on ideas and nothing will live up to that original idea, and everything I've searched so far on Pinterest is too damn cutesy.

Luckily I'm still going to the performance, but it's going to be a girls night out with one of my friends.

Oh my gosh, you all are so beautiful!

I had a meeting so I'm dressed pretty boring today.

Ugh, this meeting. This is the one that my boss told me to lead, that I was stressed about all week. The meeting itself this morning went ok, but I'm so frustrated that only 3 people showed up! There are like, 10 people on the committee. A bunch of people bailed at the last minute even though I scheduled this to fit everyone's schedules. So now I have to track people down, making more work for myself, because they just didn't want to come. Or it may be because my boss never informed the group that she was transitioning (or really, dumping) this duty over to me, so they didn't take it seriously. I'm pretty livid.
Also, I haven't gotten an email/text/or anything back from my BFF after telling the group that H and I won't be staying the night for her b-day (yesterday's post). So I'm still anxious about that. Today sucks.

@wink0erin DH and I were thinking about going to a comedy club since neither of us have been to one. If that doesn't work out we have a gift card to Ruth's Chris steakhouse. I also bought him a robe because he has been wanting one for a couple months now and I bought Callie some cute things since it's her first Valentine's Day!

H and I don't do Valentine's Day. It's just never been important/a real holiday to me. Sometimes we'll go out to dinner but we tend to do that once a week already so it's not really out of the norm for us. That would have been such an awesome gift!

@wink0erin - What about just a nice dinner out? A massage for the two of you? I'm no help here...I have no idea what I'm getting H for his 40th birthday much less VDay. His Christmas/birthday/VDay/3rd anniversary present this year was supposed to be the trip to St Lucia. Now that that is out, I booked us a trip to Kohler, Wisconsin (a 5 star spa in WI) so he has somewhere different to go for his birthday at least. His favorite comedian is coming to Milwaukee but of course is coming 3 days before baby's due date so that is out too.

@caseface5 ugh that really sucks, but usually most 9th graders will try out for high school anyway. I was the only one when I was in 9th grade that didn't and it was because I wanted to compete.

@wink0erin My H wants a Nest to bad, they are really cool! We never go out for Valentines. We hate crowded restaurants so we always make a special meal together, like shrimp scampi and pick up some chocolate strawberries and cheesecake. We've never done a physical gift.

@southernpeach89 aaaw Callie had a fun night!! Sometimes the drivers course helps with insurance and sometimes it doesn't, depends on the state. But of course even without the monetary benefit it's still a good idea for him to go because that's serious business when he's driving you or Callie around!

thank you everyone for calling me & belly cute sometimes I look at friends online and I'm like whoa they are 2 months ahead of me and the same size, I'm too big! But then I have to stop and tell myself that everyone's different and nobody's body matters except my own! Plus even though I SEE it and feel it, the scale at the doctors is still showing down 1 pound. No idea how that's possible but I'll take it!

Everyone on NEY is gorgeous and very stylish! Love the pics today, great idea @cu97tiger. However, I'm not posting a pic because I'm in pajamas lol.

Last night did not go as planned. Work got really busy, so I had to bring a lot of stuff home last night to do. I took Zoey to the dog park to wear her out after I got home, and just as I was thinking about leaving to come home, our neighbor showed up with his beagle. All of a sudden Zoey was a ball of energy. She played SO HARD. It was hilarious to watch. Needless to say, she passed the eff out as soon as we got home, so I was able to work without feeling too guilty.

I took her out during a work break for a cuddle session. When I tried to take a picture of her burrowing, she immediately put her head up and was engrossed by my phone:

Anywho, I called it quits around 9pm, and H came home around 9:30pm. We were too tired to do anything, including go to bed lol. I couldn't muster the energy to move from my chair. I feel like a zombie today.

Since I'm on my phone I'll go back and reply to everyone later. Just wanted to say hi.

Woke up at 5 am to a frantic call from my staff, who let me know that our website had been hacked. Yup, our lovely government site is now porn. Been working to fix that for hours on about 2 hours of sleep.

Had my 9 month follow-up with my neurosurgeon and endocrinologist yesterday. It wasn't great. We're awaiting test results but some things are super screwed up and I'm pretty much a ball of nerves now. One of those things is that I get a period every 7-10 days that lasts for 4 days. Makes me a hormonal, raging mess pretty much all the time, and also makes me gain crazy bloat weight. I'm up 8 lbs right now and that just makes me feel bad even though I know why.

Last night I also met D's favorite coworker and her wife. They're hilarious and we had a really nice time. It took my mind off my appointment which was good.

Today I'll probably be dealing with fixing my porny site all day. I'm having a movie night with my neighbor this evening and will probably indulge in a glass of wine or 3.

@wink0erin We don't celebrate Valentine's Day. Even after 6 years my bf thinks I'm joking when I say I hate it, so he always gives me flowers and makes a nice dinner. I'll get him a sappy card. But I'd rather him do something for me any other day of the year because he wants to, not because he feels obligated. That gift would have been awesome though. Is there anything else he's been wanting to do/try/see/learn? I'm a firm believer that the best gifts are experiences over things.

@eilis1228 thanks! I love the lavender color. I have a ton of black and grey blazers, but I think the subtle color looks so much nicer.

@swazzle well thank you, I slept in today so didn't have time to shower. I always feel like I have to look really nice those days.

@jenna8984 - Yup, every body is different. I'm up 13lbs at 21 weeks today. Some people I know are up 5-7lbs at 21 weeks, some are up 17-20lbs...some have teeny tiny bumps and some gave up on "regular" clothes a month or so ago. The co-worker who gave me my clothes gained 50 and had a 6lb baby...she is back in her non-maternity clothes and looking great 7 months after baby.

@eilis1228 - Ugh, work sounds terrible. I hope today is better. Also, Zoey is so cute!!!

@wink0erin H and I have never celebrated V-Day. Our dating anniversary is February 25, so we ignored V-Day in favor of our anniversary. We usually just do really fancy dinners for our anniversary, so maybe you could do that? H and I have also always wanted to take a cooking class, but haven't gotten around to it. I think that would be a fun V-Day gift!
