The only additional things I can think of are those adult jokes you don't get as a kid, especially in cartoons. My favorite songs typically had something to do with "doing it" as well and I'd sing along not knowing what the hell I was talking about.

@untouchablets – I legitimately have no idea if a wind storm I remember really happened or if it was a dream. I can remember the smell of my dad’s coat when he protected me and everything. But I’m unsure enough that I’ve never had the guts to ask. What if they don’t remember? That might just make it worse.

@labro – I will ALWAYS say NEIGH. I don’t give a shit.

When I was about 13, my grandparents bought my my first real, nice watch. I had wanted a Mickey Mouse watch forEVER, and they finally got me one. I wore that thing CONSTANTLY, and was so damn proud, and never failed to let someone know what time it was.

One day, we're all standing in the kitchen. I had just poured a glass of milk and was holding it in the same hand that had the watch. My mom asked me what time it was. I turned my arm, full glass of milk and all. That's another one I have never lived down.

@AlPacina there was one where my 3rd grade crush and I were our classroom and all the kids were singing that song about sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g and another classmate defended us and told them to shut up. I left school that year. Fast forward to us being 17 and reconnecting over FB, i brought it up and hero classmate didn't remember AT ALL. Said it never happened.

Oh! I have another story!

I say younger, but I must have been in later years of high school {so ... like 10yrs ago *shudder*}
I've always been obsessed with Kraft dinner. Idk why, it's great. One night my dad was busy and my mum was working so I decided "hey can't be that hard to make it!"
This is what I did.
Boil water. Put noodles in. Put milk, butter and cheese in, mix.

Do you see what I DIDN'T do?

I go to find my dad because this isn't working and the noodles are getting too soft.
He comes in, looks at pot and laughs. In the middle of the instructions it says drain but I didn't see it.

He fixed it by draining it and using Cheez-Whiz as mix {that's basically milk, butter and neon cheese mix} Turned out amazing!

So if anyone likes creamy KD, add cheez-whiz lol My mum still mocks me today

@MissKittyDanger I made it once, and instead of use 2/3 cup milk or whatever it calls for, I used 1 and 2/3 cup. It was like mac and cheese soup. Had to throw the whole thing away.

I'm seriously getting frustrated right now, still trying to decide if that wind storm is a real memory. I do this at least yearly, haha.

My family will never let me live this down:
I got my license the day I turned 16. I'd had my car for a few months already, so I was familiar with it and had driven it many times with my learner's permit. As I'm coming home, my boyfriend pulled up to the house. I stopped in the middle of our down-hill driveway to talk to him, and then I got back in and finished driving down to the bottom of the driveway... except I must have put the car in neutral, not drive, and for some reason I couldn't get the car to stop, no matter how many times I hit the brakes (or maybe in the heat of the moment I was hitting the wrong pedal? No idea). Anyway, I plowed into our fence going like 5mph, and the whole thing came down on my car. Total face palm moment. I remember the first thing I said was, "Holy shit, my step-dad is going to kill me!"

Luckily a few years later one of my cousins backed out of her driveway so much that she ran into their neighbor's house across the street, so I was no longer alone in the Awful Teenage Driver Club.

@AlPacina I question every childhood memory I have now lol. Its a really disconnected memory, I don't know why we were in the classroom (I remember it being lunchtime) and I don't remember being with a teacher. This was a catholic school so there are a few implausibilities there lol. So I don't know, maybe it happened but probably not.

@misskittydanger I think I beat you. Remember in the late 90s all the commercials for Easy Mac microwave and how easy it was, and anyone could make it or you were an idiot? Well this is what I did: macaroni in bowl. Bowl in microwave. No water. Pretty sure it burnt so badly that the plastic bowl melted.

@eilis1228 I love your car story. My parents still rag on my high school friend because she came over one day and said "Can you go outside and move my jeep? It's on your bushes" LOL

We still joke about 16 year old me calling the check oil light a gravy boat. I mean, come on, tell me that's NOT a gravy boat?!

@eilis1228 I may have told this story before but the day I got my learners permit my mom let me drive my brother with her to football practice. I moved onto the middle of the road to avoid two giant trucks parked into my lane and the next thing I knew I was getting pulled over. The cop put his siren on which scared the crap out of me and as I pulled the car over I hit a telephone pole. My mom started yelling at the cop and I was sobbing hysterically, all while he checked to make sure I didn't damage the pole. He didn't even ask if I was okay!

I had a full-blown argument with H because I KNEW there were only 3 countries in North America: Canada, the US, and Mexico, and who DOESN'T know that. I mean, really.

I am 100 million percent positive that I took a gymnastics class at the community building in my hometown when I was little. There was a balance beam up on the stage, a pommel horse, rings, everything. I SWEAR on everything that is holy that this happened.

My mom says it didn't. That she never could have afforded to take me to gymnastics. That it had to have been gym class or something. But I KNOW it wasn't, because it was when I was like 5-6-7 years old, and I would have no reason to go to gym class in the community building - that was where middle school gym was, AND I went to kindergarten and first grade in the next town over.

I TOOK GYMNASTICS, DAMMIT.

Awe I love reading all these!

My first cooking fail: I was going through a vegetarian phase, and wanted to make lasagna. So I had that tofu meat, noodles, sauce, etc. But we'd run out of cheese. And I didn't want to walk to the store and get some. So I used those kraft slices. UGH it was the worst thing ever. I think they turned into a plastic coating.

I also used to think that people in movies who got shot actually died. I thought they volunteered for it or something haha.

I also (up until I was in my teens) thought Cadillac ranch song talked about a "pickle dinosaur" not a big ol' dinosaur. Which was confusing for a while.

@teddygirl9 That reminded me of the time I tried to melt cheese in a cup in the microwave to eat with chips. I used a slice of American. It turned into a burnt up cheese wad. I ate it anyway and it became a favorite snack. My mom half gags when she reminisces about me eating burnt ass plastic cheese.

I used to think that when they showed a kid at different ages or later as a grown up in a movie that they had actually used the same kid. The end of Sandlot blew my mind because I thought they really waited for Benny and Smalls to grow up before recording the last scene.

Ugh I had a huge face palm moment last week and I still blush thinking about it. So this girl who I'm friends with on FB bought this heated bird bath and I thought it was incredibly stupid and a waste of money because I thought it was for the birds during the cold season to warm their little butts and birds don't care whether or not their butts are warm....its actual purpose is to not keep the water from freezing.

UGHHHHHH. I also went further and said, "what if the bath malfunctioned and all the birds basically had their butts shish kabobed" hahaha. I was quickly informed of my mistaken purpose for this heated bird bath.
