I'm here! My office is closed today due to snow but I am WFH. Currently watching a Real Housewives of New Jersey marathon and detoxing from copious amounts of buffalo chicken dip. I'll admit I fell asleep at the start of the 4th quarter and no fucks were given.

@speakeasy14 It's definitely not heavy snow like on Friday. I just went outside and it's super windy with tons of smaller flakes floating around. But yes VERY icy. My poor H works no matter what the weather conditions are, and he's working about an hour away. Thankfully, he drives really well in the snow.

I don't even know what I am going to do today...since I did all of my extras on Friday when there was no school. I guess I can't complain about a 4 day weekend lol

I'm here! Jealous of everyone who has a snow day, except our weather is going to warm up back to the low-60s this week so I can't wait for that.

We had a BUSY BUSY weekend.

Friday: Met with the builders about the shower issue. Mr. Director of Customer Care (D) was extremely rude and condescending. However, he brought a contractor who was very helpful. Long story short, shower is designed the way it is but due to the way our bathroom is constructed (high ceilings that are close together) the room promotes more humidity than most. They swear up and down that there is not mold, that it is just a build-up of mildew. SO the contractor stayed behind to show me how to clean it and keep it from building up again. H will have to do it (involves lots of bleach and special tools and recaulking) but he's going to do it this coming weekend. Best case scenario for me! To celebrate, we went to Lowe's and picked out the wood tiles we want. And then I had spaghetti and meatballs and was sick the rest of the day.

Saturday: We got up early and met a Craigslist seller at Chick-Fil-A. She was selling a Moby wrap for $10 but ended up just giving it to me and the information for a baby-wearing group in the area. Yay! We did grocery shopping and my second tri bloodwork (THANK GOD it was only 2 vials instead of 8). That evening, some friends came over and we pizza and cake. Of course the pizza made me sick, but it was AMAZING. No ragrets. We also bought new-in-box baby monitors from another Craigslister.

Sunday: Church, lunch, nap, ice cream, watched Friends, more nap, sick, sleep. Boring.

I vote both of you stay inside and have boozy hot chocolate!

I'm at work, but it's kind of a slow day. I plan on doing my taxes during lunch since still no internet at my house.

Saturday we went to a wine and paint night for a friend's birthday. It was fun, but our instructor kind of sucked. She would paint something and not explain to the group what she was doing. When we would ask she'd go "Oh I don't know I was just playing around." Overall it was nice, and the end result wasn't horrible. Here's my finished product.

Yesterday was taco theme night for our Superbowl party. The friend's who were hosting made tacos and margaritas, and everyone showed up with some kind of guac or taco dip. There were no complaints.

@speakeasy14 - I vote staying inside too. H is plowing again today. It's nice for him to make a couple hundred dollars extra cash, and he actually really enjoys it, but it'd be nice to have a snow day together too. Your painting is really good!!

@500days - I think we are supposed to get 8" too. r. My parents are supposed to get a foot.

I'm at work - I have to come in no matter what. Today is H's regular day off so I wish I was home with him! Like @jenjen047 said it is SO windy here!

Our weekend was pretty boring as usual. Friday H went out after work so I went to sleep early - I did get a workout in though which I never do anymore on Fridays. Saturday I was lazy and laid in bed until about 1. Then we watched a movie (I think it was called True Story with Jonah Hill and James Franco- it was weird seeing them both in a serious movie) and TV. My friend called to see if we wanted to go bowling with her and her BF but H didn't want to so we just ordered pizza and stayed in and watched another movie (the Martian this time). Sunday I worked out, did laundry and some cleaning and food shopping. Then I dropped H off at his friends to watch the Super Bowl and I came home, ate dinner and watched yet another movie before going to bed!

@cocobellaF I'm glad it's not mold but that sucks that you had to deal with that rude guy.

@jenjen047 - Nothing helps, I just have to power through the bad days and take advantage of the good ones. I'm gaining an appropriate amount of weight and the little sea monkey is happy as a clam in there, lots of movement and a super strong heartbeat.

We did a lot this weekend.
Friday, hung out with my brother who I haven't seen in awhile, so that was nice.
Saturday H and I went downtown for a walk because it was such a nice day. We also swung into a furniture store we like, not expecting to buy anything but ended up finding two pretty matching lamps for our bedroom that were on clearance. The dining table that we ordered a few months ago finally arrived also (pic below)! The house is coming together

Sunday we cleaned and made food for the Super Bowl. Loaded potato skins, bbq meatball sliders, veggies and chips/dip, and warm cookies for dessert. The game sucked but at least the food was good.

@beachyone15 I agree the game sucked. I was surprised how low scoring of a game it was. And for the 50th game you would think everything would be over the top but I was meh with the halftime show.

I am so over packing. We're about 80% done, but we're busy today and tomorrow, so I anticipate a lot of late nights getting everything finished. Ugh.

Friday was a lazy night. H worked late every night last week, so he just wanted to veg in front of his computer and play video games. Zoey and I watched three episodes of Making a Murderer, and I started knitting a scarf for my MOH. I worked out earlier that evening too. By the time 8pm rolled around I was ready for bed, but I forced myself to stay up a bit later.

On Saturday we all slept in. I got up with Zoey around 9, but she was still sleepy, so I brought her into bed with us and we all laid in bed dozing until about 11. Then H and I got dressed and took her to a nearby dog park, and she played like crazy with two corgis. It was friggin adorable. She LOVES to run, and they love to chase, so it was a perfect match. Afterwards H and I grabbed Indian food at one of our favorite places, went to WalMart for some supplies, and then spent the next few hours packing. A few friends came over around 7, and we all went to dinner and then came back and drank and packed. Unfortunately I got sick Saturday night after everyone left. I have no idea why because I wasn't even drunk, but whatever.

H and I spent ALL DAY yesterday packing. We only left the apartment to get food. I am so sore today. And so tired. Blah.

I don't have cable, so I didn't watch the game, but I saw afterwards that Von Miller won MVP, which is just so amazing. I am so proud! My hometown is beaming with pride right now, and some of my former teachers were posting stories about him on FB.

Tonight @audrewuh is coming over to quilt (it will be an adventure to quilt among all the boxes!), and I'm making spaghetti for dinner. After she leaves there will be more packing.

Is it Thursday yet?

Hopefully your final trimester will be better. That's great news about the shower! It will be a pain in the butt to clean, but at least there's no mold! Woohoo!

I'm here...sort of. Had two appointments with daycares this morning so I'm trying to catch up at work. We want to make a daycare decision this week for our top two. I found out that the one daycare that worked the best for us location wise had a potential issue (an allegation I'd rather not get into because it is very serious) so that one is out. Back to the drawing board. We see one more daycare tonight and then hopefully one more on Thursday. I hope we can make a determination then.

This weekend was lots of construction...the floor tile is the main bathroom is laid and looks fabulous so "yeah!" The mudding/taping guy will finish on Tuesday this week then we will grout the tile next weekend as well as tile the shower. After that, it is tiling the tub built in, painting the room, putting up the wainscotting, putting in the vanity/toilet/showerhead/plumbing fixtures for the tub and then finalizing a few other items so, yeah, its going to be another month or two of bathroom weekends but we are making progress.

@speakeasy14 - Yeah, and I don't know why but it felt weird to me to see the halftime show in the daylight. Maybe it would have been more dramatic if it was dark outside.

@eilis1228 - Me too! I mean, they're pretty AND comfortable. His argument is that when we have kids, they'll mess them up. Yeah honey, they'll mess lots of stuff up. I think he's just used to living in a pristine house (his mom) but it's not always going to be that way and that's ok. Plus, we aren't even ready to start trying yet. Trying to decorate a house with him has been frustrating, to say the least.

Ugh we had a crazy weekend lol.

So Friday night the IL's came over and we made smoked pizza which actually turned out really delicious compared to the first time we made it and it burnt to a crisp in seconds. Callie was pretty tired that night so she went to sleep fairly early.

Saturday morning though I noticed her belly button was looking very red and inflamed. I called the doctor and took her in that morning and apparently she has what's called Umbilical granuloma. It's basically tissue that stays on your baby's bellybutton after the umbilical cord falls off. Well we couldn't even see this tissue after her cord fell off so we were unaware the whole time of what could happen. Luckily, it's not bothering her. It has zero nerves in it so she can't feel the infection. It just looks super gross. Hopefully it goes away within the week. She is on antibiotics for the next week to help clear the infection.

That night we went to a Valentine's Day party and had a great time! Definitely stayed out too late and paid for it the next morning when Callie woke up at 5. The rest of the day Sunday we spent relaxing and watching the super bowl with DH's parents.

I had my annual this morning and my OB is very satisfied with my healing. She said we could start trying for #2 as soon as September but I'm waiting until next January because I definitely do not want to be pregnant again anytime this year. I want to give my body a nice break.

Tonight I definitely need to go to CrossFit to train since I skipped it this weekend because we had to take Callie to the doctor. Then we are watching The Bachelor because Olivia is psycho and the most entertaining person on the show lol.

I had such a nice weekend. BF and I had a date day on Saturday, because he claims we never do anything together anymore. We started off going to a couple of breweries, and then went shopping. Being buzzed got me buying all kinds of random stuff, including insanely expensive chocolate. Luckily it tasted awesome, so I have no regrets. I also managed to find a shirt! We finished off the night watching Full Metal Jacket and some Hannibal Buress.

On Sunday we went for a lovely hike. The weather was incredible, so the trail was really busy, but it was worth it. It was the first hike we ever did together, and it cracks me up how I was DYING the first time. I was walking up this hill no problem and remembering how a couple of years ago I had to stop every 20 feet and breath heavy.

BF's brother came over last minute to watch the game. We made carne asada burritos that were awesome. I also thought the game and commercials were boring. Fucking puppymonkeybabyaaaaaaah!!!!!!!! I hate it! But Lady Gaga gave the first decent anthem performance I've seen in basically forever (and I want her outfit!), and I really liked Bey and Bruno on the halftime show. Coldplay was meh.

@lavenderfields13 It's not too personal. Yes, doctors recommend waiting at least a year to give your body plenty of time to heal up. I don't know what the recommended time for waiting after a vaginal birth is, probably less...but either way I'm very happy with what she said because that was our initial plan anyways to wait until next year before trying again.
