@swazzle – Lucy wrapped in a blanket is definitely the second cutest of the bunch! You’re the cutest, obviously. And your hair is fabulous.

@missfuturehistorian – I can’t wait to hear about your new book proposal! I think it’s great that you’re setting that weekly goal for yourself….. Also, awesome mug!

@jenna8984 – I can’t see a lot of pictures either, and it’s such a bummer. I just go on my phone and peek at the pictures really quick, then come back to my computer to respond, haha.

@speakeasy14 – Hahahahahaha! I love how you’re trying to blame it on the chiffon. Like we’re not the kind of people to fall in basically any clothing imagineable, including no clothing.

@minskat30 – Heartburn is the bane of my existence. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with it so bad.  Coffee is definitely the worst for it………. I sing Little Boxes at least once a week. It’s my go-to when stuff is too quiet, haha.

@labro – Good luck with the tax person tonight! We’re all rooting for some secret tax breaks to be found for you!

@beachyone15 – I know so many people who bought houses this year that ended up owing. I was under the impression the opposite was supposed to happen as well. I guess I’ll just appreciate the low interest rate.

RE: Telling BF about my "internet friends" - The conversations about Chicago have been interesting. I mostly get weird looks from him, like he almost still doesn't believe I'm gonna go. It helps if I talk about you all by name and not call you internet friends. I only recently told him the “topic” of the board, haha, which was the real awkward part because I don't want to seem engagement obsessed. I also think doing the secret santa exchange helped him be more comfortable with it. He's questioned it less since then. @GoldenPenguin got me such a thoughtful gift, something that a true friend would pick.

My coworker just came and asked if I wanted to buy any Girl Scout cookies from his daughter! IT'S GIRL SCOUT COOKIE SEASON!!! YASSSSSS!!!!

@swazzle your HAIRS. I'm in love with them. And lucille is the most adorable babushka in the world. Yay hockey! The Bruins are coming to Dallas ON FRIDAY. H and I are going to the open practice and then we're going to try and greet the team as they get on/off the bus. I'm so excited I may pee my pants.

@southernpeach89 snuggles to you and Callie. Teething babies make the heart and the head hurt.

Re: telling your SO about meeting up with internet strangers:
H was actually the catalyst in my attending the giant GTG in AZ four (WHAT) years ago with @cu97tiger and a zillion others. He told me to just go for it, and since it was in Phoenix, I could see my cousin. My cousin was much less trusting. He dropped me off at Tiger's house and shook everyone's hand and then drove around the block for half an hour until I reassured him several times that all was well. Since then, I've met up with so many people that H asked me to plan a vacation for us somewhere that my internet friends didn't live. So, I picked ATL and saw @labro and @southernpeach89 for lunch. Haha.

Totes being a bit of a Debbie Downer, but it's been a crazy couple of weeks and I just want to whine for a second.

Last week I had to report a teenage couple in my youth group to CPS (he's 18) for emotional abuse. That blew ass.

Right after my audition last night, my friend's H called to tell me my friend was in a car wreck and was in the hospital. She was coming into town to spend the week with me for a conference that starts tomorrow. Doctors expect a full recovery, but she's still in the hospital with broken ribs and a punctured lung.

Bridezilla last weekend left me exhausted and I've been trying to catch up on work and sleep and it's just not happening. I'm so far behind with work things, but I've really missed you guys and needed to spend some time in the happy-fields of NEY.

This super exciting conference begins tomorrow morning and I'm trying to look forward to it. Other friends are also coming into town for it, so I'll get to see them, too. And we're planning to go visit my friend in the hospital if she's still there.

Then the Bruins come in this weekend! Yay! Hockey and super fun stuff. Busy, but fun.

What's new with everyone?
I had my first audition last night. I didn't pass, but I came closer than I did last time. I'm setting up about 80 million (more like 3) extra lessons between today and my second (and last chance) audition next Tuesday to fix the handful of wrong notes.

Did I miss anything fun/exciting/crazy?
Bridezilla's bachelorette party from hell happened. I want to post a recap, but I'm not sure if I should do it in another post or just do it here in the daily thread.

What's up with your Wednesday?
Just attempting to get caught up at work. Conference starts tomorrow and it's Youth Sunday on Sunday. I'll be preaching, which will be fun and stressful.

What are you wearing today?
Jeans and a tshirt with holes in the armpits. No fucks are given today. I don't even have make up on.

Drive-by posting! Teaching has me super-busy but I've been lurking and liking when I can. I have figured out what teaching is all about: it's about keeping your nose above the water that is your grading pile. Overall, though, I've really been enjoying it and hope I can continue teaching in future semesters.

I will try to be a better friend when I can ...
