@jenna8984 The inventory around here is doing pretty good! Buying can be competitive but I'm not seeing a lot of selling for more than the asking price. Usually sellers are getting asking price but not like bidding wars or anything.

@TwoDimes Yep it's literally on the market RIGHT NOW! I doubt it will be by the time we're ready though...but it's basically become my standard lol. I really really love character in a house so that's important. We don't need a house with more bedrooms, but we definitely need a house with a larger layout. We're comfortable staying in the same location but we're open to other areas too as long as it's the same radius from work. Not necessarily newer because I still want a large lot and that's hard to find in new homes around here.

@swazzle @twodimes @southernpeach89 This is the what I ordered. It's decals that we'll put on an ivory wall, so no painting. Just peel off when s/he outgrows it. All the reviews said you could custom ask for different animals, so I requested 2 fawn rather than the buck, and they are going to throw in a few owls in the trees. We'll just get plain grey bedding.

@jenjen047 We find out Monday!! We've had a feeling all along that it's a boy, but I'm not the type who cares about boy=blue, girl=pink. So if it's a girl there is nothing wrong with her having blue birds on her walls!

I'm on mobile so I can't do personals (other than to say @labro - hot damn that house would be amazing! All the things crossed you guys can sell).

I'm at the lab getting my 1-hour glucose test (they make you drink a sugar serum and wait an hour then draw your blood). I don't know what most everyone I've talked to is complaining about with the serum being disgusting...tastes like sweet sprite but not too bad). Will get the results tomorrow.

After the lab, I have to play catch up at work, work out tonight then I'll take it easy tonight...H is sick and home from work today. Poor guy.

I'll probably rest up tonight so I don't catch it too.

Yesterday was my big quarterly event for work. It went perfect. Only took two years for that to happen. I was supposed to go to my sister's for dinner but ended up passing out on the couch with a migraine. Feeling better today at least.

Callie had her vet appointment this morning, and my bf got to take her for the first time. He said she did great (which is a surprise because she usually freaks out). She now weighs 75lbs, so she lost 15lbs since her last appointment. Majority of that is because she no longer is able to steal food from all the other animals. They said because she's young and active it's not a big deal that she lost so much weight. They also said for her size her max weight is 84, so she's at a perfect size right now.

So there's a historic hotel near my house that is going to be hosting a 20s themed ball at the end of April. I really really want to go.

@goldenpenguin - The first contacts I got, I always had problems with the left eye. They must have effed up the prescription but I didn't know because it was my first time. SO ANNOYING. I'd definitely call your eye dr. and tell them you need a prescription for another brand because you don't like the ones you're currently using. They should be able to do that!

@labro - Exciting about the house stuff!

@lavenderfields13 - At this point, I will unfriend anyone who seriously supports Trump. They are not the type of person that I want to be associated with.

@jenna8984 - I love that idea. It looks so pretty/handsome (depending on if it's a s/he)

So, yesterday it was 65* and today it's 35* with 50 mph wind gusts. THIS SUCKS. Supposedly we're expecting 3-6" of snow tomorrow night, too. I hate winter I hate winter I hate winter.

Tonight I'm making salmon and roasted veggies for dinner. Then my gf is coming over and we're going to make her an online dating profile. She's 45 and got divorced a year ago (like, it was final a year ago, she found out two years ago that her a$$hole husband was cheating on her with the 22 year old next door neighbor). There will be wine.

I've also figured out a way to make the monitoring clinic that is an hour away work. It's not ideal, but I could stay at H's aunt's house (about 20 mins from the clinic), work from a cafe for the morning after the appt, then drive back here during my lunch hour. I'll still look for other options, but I feel better knowing that that could work.

Also, I don't know if I posted this already, but Saturday I went to urgent care to get my shoulder looked at. Looks like I have tendinitis. No lifting weights over my head (yeah right) and I'm looking at 4-6 months for full recovery. Luckily it doesn't bother me TOO much, so I'm going to modify what I've been doing (both at home and at Crossfit) and see if that helps.

@beachyone15 - I mean, yay Texas for not voting for Trump, but Cruz is just as, if not more scary! But he's also from there, so I'm not surprised that they went that way.

@jenna8984 - I absolutely ADORE that room!! I personally think doing extremely gendered rooms for a baby is a little ridiculous, so I love that design!

Also, Acadia is one of my most favorite places on the planet. It is just overwhelmingly, stunningly beautiful. You should totally go there!

@southernpeach89 - I hope Callie keeps feeling better! Poor little munchkin.

@cu97tiger - It's just annoying because they are the EXACT contacts I've been wearing (same brand and my script didn't change) so I don't know what the deal is. I'm going to look at the site that my insurance recommends (ContactsDirect) and see if they have the same "brand" requirement. I'm convinced it's a conspiracy to make me pay for the expensive contacts, haha.

@CocobellaF I feel like I need a triple caffeine latte to wake up today. Zzzzzz. Also, wow that the doc considers 2500 steps to be a lot. I guess it is on bed rest standards. If you go to the grocery store you should use one of the electric wheelchairs. Bring a bicycle horn with you! Maybe a turbo pack so you can get some speed.

@swazzle My head exploded with all the Trump support. It's honestly terrifying.

@GoldenPenguin I hate how specific contact prescriptions have to me. My eye doc is trying me on a new brand to see how I like them, and after a few days I'm uncertain, like I can't really tell much of a difference. I'm leaning toward my old brand because after doing some research the new one would be more expensive (per lens) than the lenses I have been wearing. I get really dry eyes so that has been my battle.

@jenna8984 I'm with you on nurseries. I like when people decorate in a way that it can easily grow with the child!

@beachyone15 I LOVE midweek travel! I enjoy getting a couple days of work to wrap up loose ends before going somewhere. Every time I go on a personal vacation that involves a flight I try to fly in/out on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Flights end up being cheaper!

The weather here is garbage today, it was sunny and 70 yesterday and today it's freakin snowing. Next week it's supposed to be 80. WTF weather?

Last night I was out too late, my best friend from childhood was in town so I went to see him, his parents, siblings, and some other old friends from my neighborhood. We had tacos and reminisced all evening. He's flying back to his home today so I'm glad I got to see him.

BF gave me the go ahead on going to Costa Rica later this year, so it looks like real planning can happen now! I am buying the flights TODAY. I did some research and it seems the price I found is the cheapest I will find. So, YAYYYY!!!!

@wink0erin - Yay for Costa Rica! It's a beautiful country! H and I went there for our first anniversary. I was violently ill for the whole second half of our trip when we did the beach area but the first half of our trip was amazing and if you do the Arenal area, I can give some tips/info!
