I'm working from home this morning because our appointment is today for the big ultrasound! As long as this baby isn't bashful, we'll know in a couple hours boy or girl, and hopefully healthy as can be!

Best part of your weekend? My "aunt" (friend who's my parents age) came over Saturday to see my new house and hang out. She brought meatballs and cookies and a blanket she knitted for baby. Was so nice to catch up with her.

Worst part of your weekend? Nothing really!

What's for dinner tonight? crockpot shredded chicken tacos

Busy or slow week ahead? pretty busy at work but nothing during the evenings

What's your next holiday? Patriots Day also known as Marathon Monday in MA since the Boston Marathon route shuts down my road to the office. I don't even know what day it is, I think the 3rd week in April.

We had an ok weekend. I ended up getting to go to CrossFit Friday night because a friend of mine LOVES Callie wanted to play with her while I did my workout. It was hard!!! I struggled but I'm glad I did it. Callie had a good night...she woke up SUPER early Saturday morning but it's better than being up all night.

Saturday DH worked all day so I spent the day with Callie. She wasn't really wanting to nap much and any time I put her down she would get upset so she was pretty much awake the entire day lol. @labro came over that night to give me a break and we drank wine and ate pizza. She is seriously the best Aunt and sister ever.

Sunday DH and I left for SC early to visit some of his family. Callie had a pretty good day. I think she is starting to feel better overall minus her gums.

Not too much happening today besides CrossFit and Bachelor tonight! The Women Tell All is one of my favorite episodes because of all the dramz lol.

Worst part of your weekend?Callie not taking any naps and being miss cranky pants.
What's for dinner tonight?Minestrone Soup and leftovers from yesterdays cookout
Busy or slow week ahead?A little bit of both...DH is going on an overnight field trip Friday night so I'll be solo-parenting which will be a little crazy but I've done it before.
What's your next holiday (spring break, Good Friday, Memorial day)?We don't get Good Friday off but DH's spring break is the first week of April...I'll still be working so my next day off though is March 28th. Callie's 6th month appt is that day so I decided to take it off in case the shots cause her to feel icky.

Hi guys! I am only here super quick to AW my living room, then I have to get to the payroll which is likely to take all day.

Friday night we went to the fundraiser which was okay. There were not many people there at all and the comedians were okay, but not the greatest. I talked to one of the board members and he thinks they might break even on the night. It's really sad. After that we went out with some cheer moms to a local Chinese place and we were out super late, and drunk! LOL.

Saturday we worked on the living room all day! We did go out with my cousin and her kids for dinner, then back to the house and BF and Tess fell asleep and I watched Harry Potter.

Yesterday we finished up some of the living room. All we have left is to hang the gallery wall, roll one more coat on the last wall, and paint the door. My parents had us over for Sunday dinner so we came home stuffed and didn't finish. I want to finish before Friday thought because I am having a Pampered Chef party and people are coming over.

Morning! How/why do the weekends go by so quickly?

Friday I did basically nothing. I managed to catch the early train home, made dinner, H went out with his friends to some show, and I was in bed at 10pm.

Saturday, I watched a couple of shows then drove about an hour to meet my parents for lunch and pick up shoes I accidentally had shipped to their house. I got them free with Kohls cash and I love them and can't wait for it to warm up a little so I can wear them (slip-on Chuck Taylors -- plus a Brodybutt):

Once H got home from work, he was absolutely exhausted and I wasn't complaining because I was definitely in the mood to continue catching up on my sleep from the week before. We were in bed by 10 again and it was glorious!

Yesterday I made chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, cleaned the house, did all of the laundry, and made my breakfast and lunch for the whole week. I finally made the oatmeal "pancakes" I mentioned before and will report back shortly with how they turned out. My lunches this week will be alternating between Greek salad (mixed greens, red onion, cherry tomatoes, cukes, grilled chicken, feta and homemade lemon vinaigrette) and kale salad (kale, lemon juice, EVOO, salt, parm, grilled chicken, and cherry tomatoes). I wasn't feeling it at all early in the day but I'm glad I took the time to prep so now I'm all set for the week. I'm really hoping to be down when I weigh in on Wednesday which will be 3 months since I joined WW and as of last week, I'm down 6.6 which isn't a lot but at least it's something and I've noticed a difference off of the scale and people have complimented me so I'll take it.

Last night I watched TWD and holy shit this is definitely one of the best seasons EVER. I didn't watch the finale of DA and I'm anxiously waiting for it to be available online.

Tonight will be a typical night. I'm making HC Spinach-Stuffed Chicken with Lemony Roasted Cauliflower for dinner and will probably watch The Bachelor: Women Tell All while texting @Hummingbird125 .

PSA (especially for WW people): I really like the oatmeal "pancakes"! It's (obviously) a different texture than real pancakes and they're not super sweet, which I actually like. I added a tiny bit of light butter because they were a little dry but definitely going to be my go-to breakfast from now on since I can make them at home for the week, heat them up at work, and they're only 6 points.

@swazzle cute shoes! Great job with meal prep, those salads sound yum. I just cut up all my fruit for my smoothie prep, was so sad that half my pineapple was rotten inside. I just bought it yesterday!

@jenna8984 It was only 2 hours so we left during her usual nap time that way she could nap in the car. She had a good day Sunday...she actually took her naps. It was Saturday that was nap refusal day lol.

@swazzle free shoes are the best! Kohls is also the best for great deals. When I worked at kohls I found two pairs of converse on clearance. After my employee discount it came to $6 total.

My bf was swamped at work so he didn't get home till 7-8ish each night and by that time was too tired to do anything else.

@jenna8984 I just slice the potatoes up and throw them on a baking sheet with some olive oil and salt. I let them get crispy (so usually 45 minutes at 350). They usually look more like wedges than fries, but still taste awesome.

Pretty busy weekend. Friday not much because I'm at a different office, but because my commute home takes me thru a mall I opted to stop at Victoria's Secret for some new undies. I need to toss some that the elastic is going to shit.
Got home, ate, took a bath and tried to crash early. Matt comes to bed and wakes me up. I could not for the life of me fall back asleep! 3hrs later, I finally fell asleep for a few hrs.

Saturday I went to a friend's place because I had to drop some stuff off and she was with her son and niece and nephew. We chit-chatted, she told me some gossip - some very heart breaking - and we caught up.

That night my friend's bf was hosting a party, so we went. It's weird because pretty much the only person I knew - other than Matt - was my friend and her bf. I'm not a hugely social person, so I was pretty grateful she stuck by me to socialize. Didn't hurt that her and I hadn't seen each other since around xmas lol
Ended up staying until like 3am!!

Sunday we saw Deadpool .... omg hilarious!! My favourite part of movies/tv shows is when they break the 4th wall.

Since this weekend was milder than usual, I opened some windows and got some cleaning done.

My mum came home from Vegas a day early because she has a terrible cough. She's suppose to see a clinic today to see what's going on.

Oh ... crazy thing happened this morning. I nearly got hit by a van!
I had right of way to cross and I went to go but I saw something in peripheral vision so I stepped back on sidewalk. A van promptly brakes so hard he skids and if I had been right there when he stopped I would have gotten hit.
Worse part is that he didn't stop because he saw me, he stopped because of traffic.

Urg .... people need to pay attention!!

Try this with Lowrey's seasoning salt sometime. YUMMMMMMMMMMM! I've made sweet potato fries this way, too. Delish!

@Swazzle I fully approve ALL THE SHOES for Chicago. I like having options so I overpack too...H just doesn't understand AT ALL. Also I am so so so sad you didn't get to watch DA last night! You had better tell me right away when you do so we can chat about it!

@southernpeach89 I'm so glad we got to have a sister/aunt night on Saturday! It's always fun spending time with you and Callie.

Why are the weekends so short??? I don't have a holiday until Memorial Day but our big Asheville vacation is next month so at least I'll have a break between now and then!

I got a lot of cleaning and organizing complete this weekend so I'm proud of myself. H and I purchased a bathroom tile too which is vastly different from what we had originally planned but I realize it would work out better because 1. It's WAY cheaper than the wood-look tile we wanted to get and 2. We have to redo the tile around the tub too and it would be hard to match with the wood tile. We also got another carpet quote and we're going in a vastly different direction (cheaper and more basic) now that we're thinking of selling the house. Costco is coming by today to give us a new quote too so I think I'm just going to see if they can beat the local company and then we can hire someone to get this done!

I also picked out some paint colors for the basement and our guest bedroom (beige....much excite you guys!) and also our hallway. I actually just painted our hallway last year but the bottom half came out this mustardy yellow color which was not what I had expected it to be so I'm going to repaint the bottom half to be a softer more neutral taupe.

Next step on the organizing train is my home office! There's a lot of clutter and extra stuff in there and while it's not a huge mess...the clutter just needs to be taken care of asap so I can work on our linen closets next.

Good morning! Guys, I had kind of a crazy weekend. It started off with me deciding to chop all my hair off - I keep going back and forth on whether I like it, but either way it'll grow back quick I'm sure. H was shocked at first but then he kept telling me how good it looked so I guess he's ok with it. He has to be! Lol.

Saturday was our day in Fredericksburg for my BFF's birthday. Honestly we had so much fun going to wine tastings, shopping, and touring vineyards. I had a pretty good buzz the entire day and no hangover on Sunday! The best part was the girl who gets on everyone's nerves was actually ok and not as annoying as usual. Although she did leave the group for a few hours so her and her H could check in to their hotel. Then she told us "sorry it took so long, we decided to take a nap". Ummm...ok. Kind of weird to do in the middle of the day when you are on a group outing for your friend's b-day but whatever. The craziness came later that night. We had all been drinking and two of the guys decided to race each other. Well, one of them fell on the concrete, broke his nose and chipped a tooth. I felt bad for him but he does stupid shit like that all the time. I guess I feel worse for his wife. Anyway, we all sobered up pretty quick and took him to the hospital. That broke up the party so H and I went back home to go to bed.

Sunday was nothing but meal prep. It took us 2 hours but it's nice that pretty much everything is done for the week. We watch TWD which was super intense (and apparently gave H nightmares, poor guy). Looking forward to the Bachelor Tell All tonight!

@jenna8984 - How exciting!!! I'm guessing it'll be a boy.
@southernpeach89 - Poor Callie. I agree with you about the Bachelor Tell All tonight - should be good!
@caseface5 - I love the living room! You are inspiring me to finish ours. We just need a good t.v. stand (and of course H wants a bigger t.v.).
@swazzle - H and I committed to eating healthier so we were food prepping for 2 hours on Sunday. It sucked and I hated it, but I'm hoping to reap the benefits this week by just pulling things out of the fridge that are ready to go!

Busy or slow week ahead? Work is SLOW, but life is BUSY! Tomorrow morning I get my car fixed, and I need to go to the post office to mail some things and pack for my trip to Florida!

What's your next holiday (spring break, Good Friday, Memorial day)? My next work holiday is the primary election in May.

I'm rushing because I have a meeting in a few minutes, which I will sit and twiddle my thumbs at because I literally have NOTHING to work on at work this week (so far). I'll probably write out a packing list while everyone else talks about their cases. This is the lowest my workload has been since I started here two years ago, and it's all because of deadlines getting shifted around. I assume it means shit is about to hit the fan and I will be assigned a ton of stuff ASAP.

On Wednesday morning I fly to Orlando for a conference and I am SO pumped. I'll be busy almost the entire time I'm there which is good and bad. I won't be relaxing much, haha. BUT I get to go to Disney for a couple evenings, and a couple of my Florida friends are driving up on the Saturday to hang out.

For those who watch DA, is season 6 available online somewhere (free, and legal)? I thought it was included in my Prime subscription, but it seems its pay-per-episode. I'm going to go bonkers if I can't continue watching once I finish season 5, esp because it's hard to avoid spoilers.

Off to my pointless work meeting. Ugh!
