Good morning, everyone! How was your night and what's up for the weekend?

I met H for dinner last night and had some of the best corned beef EVAR. We ate at a locally famous deli that's been in business for over 50 years. They had 2 local firemen playing the bagpipes in the restaurant which was really cool. Then we went to the game and after the 2nd period, the Devils were up multiple goals so we actually headed home a bit early. My new sandals were delivered yesterday and I love them and can't wait for the warm weather to get her so I can start wearing them! Kindly take note of my toenail polish. I was NOT joking the other day:

I don't have a lot going on this weekend. I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow morning and a Devils game on Sunday afternoon but other than that, no real plans. I'm looking forward to sleeping in both days, getting some cleaning and laundry done at some point, and spending time with the kids and H when he's not at work. Supposedly we're getting one last snow storm of the year Sunday into Monday and I am NOT pleased about that.

@Swazzle I love those Sandals! I need some new black sandals...mine are starting to get pretty worn.

Last night was great! I left work early and got home and started on my Irish Stout Stew. It turned out soooo yummy! Definitely a repeat. I gave DH and Callie little St. Paddy's Day gifts and after Callie went to bed we enjoyed some adult Shamrock martinis for dessert!

Tonight DH's mom and stepdad are coming into town and we are going out to dinner at a fancy restaurant for a wine pairing meal. They serve like 10000 different courses but I've never known what wines to pair with what foods so this will be a cool experience. @labro is babysitting Callie girl so hopefully she will have a fun night!

Saturday DH has an interview for another teaching position within our county. It won't be a raise but it's a step up from what he is doing now so we are hoping for good news! Callie and I will probably just hang out and enjoy the day.

Sunday I'm meeting a friend from college for lunch. Afterwards Callie and I might go to my parent's house for dinner.

BF texted me shortly after I got home to tell me that we might have to have two cheat days this week, you know since it was a holiday. So we went out for pizza and beer with the couple that lives down the street. We had a great time and are noticing the more that we hang with them that we have a ton in common. Last night we talked about how our lives are running the same course and we will most likely have kids around the same time so our kids can be friends and live near each other.

Tonight we will lay low, nothing too exciting. Tomorrow we have someone coming over to do an energy assessment of the house. They look around and tell you how you can save energy/money and give you tons of coupons to help along so we are looking forward to that. Then I think we'll go out with my cousin and her kids.

Sunday we have a party in the afternoon and other than that, just hanging out and relaxing! So glad it's finally Friday. We might be getting a storm too this weekend, so here's hoping it's a fluke and we don't because I don't want snow!

@caseface5 - That's awesome that you have so much in common with your neighbors! My neighbors all keep to themselves and most of them are OLD. Kinda sucks but what are ya going to do.

Last night was nice. I made corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and irish soda bread for dinner. After dinner I made irish car bomb cupcakes for my office potluck. They came out awesome. I can't wait for everyone to try them at lunch today.

Nothing exciting planned for this weekend. Maybe we'll go skiing since its gonna snow and still have a bunch of passes. That's a big maybe though since my bf is scheduled for a busy weekend at work.

@swazzle - CUTE sandals! And don't feel bad about the nails, I think mine look worse. I was actually thinking of treating myself to a mani/pedi today. We will see how the day goes.

@southernpeach89 - Good luck to your H!! I'm jealous of your shamrock martinis and your wine with dinner pairings. I'm also jealous of your Callie time @labro!

@caseface5 - What is you and your BF's timeline for getting married and having kids? You don't have to tell me (obviously) if it is too private but I'm just curious.

I'm so glad it is Friday. H was very productive yesterday and he put the glider chair we got together 90% of the way (he needs my help with the back piece since it is a two-man job). He also got the hardware for Ani's dresser spray painted and a few other things done. I'll put the hardware on tonight and we will move the dresser into place tomorrow and hang the mirrors. I also ordered some wall decals for Ani's room so we will hang those. I need picture frames so I plan to go to TJ Maxx today (I don't really need an excuse to go there every Friday if I'm being honest) because I'd like to frame a few things too this weekend.

Saturday I plan on sleeping in and accomplishing the above. H and I are going over the to-do list too for Ani and seeing what is next to tackle. Sunday the electrician is (hopefully) coming to finalize the bathroom stuff and I'll tackle more Ani projects I'm sure. Thank God the heavy lifting for the bathroom remodel is done...it is going to be a breeze of a weekend in comparison to the usual fun house it is in our abode during the weekends.

IT'S FRIDAY!!!

Today is going to be cool and yucky (in the 40's with drizzle and rain). Boo, I was really enjoying the warm spring weather!

@Swazzle - Very cute sandals!! I need to get mine down sometime soon (they are in a storage container at the top of the closet during off season) and go through them. I have a feeling I might need some cute sandals that also have some good support this year.

@southernpeach89 - I hope you have fun and eat all the yummy foods and drink all the wine.

@caseface5 - PIZZA.

@speakeasy14 - I vote skiing!

@minskat30 - I can't wait to see photos of everything!!!

I'm a little grumpy today. I thought last night that H said he wasn't going to go play basketball this morning. Normally on Fridays he gets up at 4:45 to go play basketball for a couple of hours. Usually he goes in to work at 7, but on Friday he goes in at 8. I had some extra time at work, so I was planning on sleeping in a little bit and going in at 7:30 instead of 6:30 today. I thought that he was going to be sleeping in, too... but he got up at 5:30 and left I guess to go to the gym? Oh well. I have just been a little emotional this week and I thought we would like, eat eggos together and he could hold my hair while I puked. Haha! Oh well.

We are going at 1:00 today to meet with our financial advisor. There are quite a few programs for setting up college funds or savings accounts for your kids, so we want to start looking into that now.

This weekend will be busy-ish. Today we just have that financial appointment, and then we're going to grab a late lunch and pick up a few groceries.

Tomorrow evening my brother and H's cousins are going to come over and help us pack stuff up, put junk in the attic, and start to move furniture because our new floors are going in on MONDAY!!! We'll probably order pizza or something, and I'll eat a PBJ.

@speakeasy14 and @minskat30 We have had a few talks about the timeline. It really boils down to BF wanted to propose last year in Disney and since he didn't he has been trying to find a way. I told him multiple times it doesn't have to be anything extravagant, but he wants it to be "special".

He has told me a few times that he's been thinking of how to do it and then we booked another trip to Disney. I told him that he doesn't have to wait until then (September) and that I would be just as excited if it was at home and not there. He asked if I would be upset if he waited until then, and I said no. So basically he is either going to do it when we are there, or he wants me to think that and will do it before then, either way we should be engaged by September.

From there depending on budget and venues we'd like to get married next year, and trying for kids a few months after that. BF wants kids now, but I said I want to be married first, so there won't be much time in between if all goes according to plan.

Awww @cocobellaf - hugs to you. I think what you are experiencing (the emotional aspect) is completely normal. I've found myself more reliant on H than ever the more pregnant I get. I think in some ways he doesn't know what to do with that since he is used to me being so independent. It takes them a while to adjust too but if I lived nearby I'd have eggs with you and hold your hair while you puked if it makes you feel better.

@caseface5 - So exciting to have those talks! I'm just being a busy body and don't mean to stir up any BSC or anything.

@minskat30 I've been pretty good at keeping the BSC at bay. Honestly at this point I'm still doubtful it will happen (which I think sounds terrible) so I'm just waiting it out. Don't get me wrong though there are certainly times I get BSC but I try to just let it pass and remember that I am lucky to have BF and our life and that's good enough for me.

@cocobellaf I'm sorry you are feeling so terrible and so sick, but I'm sure Baby Kennedy will be 1000x worth it and you will be a fantastic mom!

@caseface5 Is it MassSave? They do a great job. In my last house they gave us like $300 worth of free lightbulbs and we got an interest free loan for a new furnace.

Last night, I looked over my registry and noticed that the comforter I chose was being all weird. It wouldn't show a picture or description or price, and it wouldn't let you even click on it to buy it. So I just went back to store and bought it myself lol.

This morning I was being a real slow poke. Decided if I'm going to be late, then I'm going to be LATE (despite telling @swazzle yesterday that I'm never late...). Took my time, made a strawberry- chocolate- greek yogurt smoothie, fucked around trying to get Bluetooth to connect in my car but it wouldn't. I was absolutely determined to listen to Nsync Pandora so I stopped by H's work and he got it to connect, so that was a fun ride in and I was 50 minutes late. My boss wasn't even here yet....

Tonight I'm leaving like an hour early to drive into Boston. My best friend works there and I haven't seen her in months so we're having dinner. Tomorrow a good friend is coming over to BBQ with his wife and baby, can't wait.

@minskat30 @cocobellaf I feel the same way about just wanting H to be there and help with the little things. I read a blog the other day about right after you give birth and how the H will want to help with baby stuff but he'll need to actually help YOU. Like help me shower, help me do the laundry. I sent it to H and he said it was great advice for him to keep in mind.

Wooooooo - it's the Friday I've been waiting for FOREVERRRRR (okay, only for 7 weeks, but still).

I'm enjoying a lovely morning working from home, in bed. DH took off work today entirely, so he's going to go out to get us some BEC's and orange juice soon! I really really am trying to get a bunch of work done this morning since I don't get too many opportunities to WFH and I want to prove to my boss and coworkers that I really can be productive at home. Also, I'm not planning on doing much of anything later this afternoon, so I need to get a LOT done this morning.

DH & I will leave for the doctor's appointment around 12:45. I am so anxious and excited to see how our little Bloob has grown, and I just want to hear that he/she looks 100% healthy. Maybe, MAYBE I can finally begin relaxing and just enjoying this pregnancy after that. Also fingers and toes and everything else is crossed that Bloob cooperates and shows us what's between its legs today!

After that, DH and I will probably buy a couple of baby things (seriously all I've bought so far is 2 little hats, I haven't let myself do any more than that!), and then we'll go out to lunch. We'll hit up HD after that to buy paint for our bedroom, since my stepdad and DH are going to tackle that project this weekend. We're doing a dark blue-gray slate color on the wall behind the bed/crib and the wall next to it, and leaving the other two walls white. I cannot wait to see how it turns out!

Nothing else planned for today, but tomorrow will be cleaning, food shopping, and baking. On Sunday my mom and stepdad are coming over so we can do a little gender reveal thing with them and so the men can paint while my mom and I go shopping.

@Swazzle - I love those sandals and now I want to go shoe shopping.... If we buy sandals it cannot possibly snow on Sunday, right?

@caseface5 - I think it's great that you made it clear to your BF that you don't need some big production to get engaged. Still, that might be what he's always imagined doing. At least the fall isn't too far away, if that's when you have to wait for!

@Minskat30 - We will need some nursery pics once you finish all these projects!!!

@speakeasy14 - I despise corned beef and cabbage but I LOVE Irish soda bread, and now I'm sad I didn't make any! That may need to be a project for tomorrow morning.

@southernpeach89 - Good luck to your H and I'm so jealous of that fancy meal you'll get to have!! Enjoy extra wine for me please :-)

I was totally slammed at work yesterday and barely had time to skim the knot... Happy to be back today! I got up super early and went to spin this morning, which was great because when I got to work my co-worker offered me a salted caramel doughnut.. YUM. This weekend H and I are driving up to NH to visit with my parents.. no plans with them, probably just board games and hangin' out!

Morning ladies!

P&R now but I'll be back to chat.

Groceries last night, came in more under budget than anticipated since we picked up a ham for next week and it ended up costing $30 - which I was not anticipating. Did laundry and had a bath, my shoulder is finally not sore so I think the A5-35 and bath helped.

This weekend isn't too busy. I wanna get cleaning stuff. Saturday night is my friend's bday party, we're going for a bit because we already promised another friend we'd go for a bonfire later.

Despite deciding not to celebrate our dating anniversary anymore, Matt and I decided we should do this one since it's our 5 year on Sunday. We're just doing a nice dinner that we have a gift card for. We probably won't celebrate anymore except for major ones - like the decade ones - but we felt this was a big milestone for us.

Anyways .... I'll be back later. I just have a lot of files on my desk to do now.

As a a lover of all baked goods, I'm ashamed that it took me until just a couple of weeks ago to try an artisanal doughnut - I got some sort of coconut one and a dulce de leche donut from this place and ZOMG SO GOOD I WANT MORE.

As to Raj, I swear that is his "Ok, play it cool, you are on camera here" face. He loves that little elephant and all the baby stuff has had the Rajah sniff of approval before it is allowed in the house.

I find it adorable that every single time I walk into Ani's room he follows me, sniffs the stuff in the room and plops down on the floor next to me....he only follows me into THAT room, not any other.

@Hummingbird125 @minskat30 It is seriously so so good... I didn't realize that this speciality doughnut place started selling smaller versions of their doughnuts at the coffee place in my building. So, shit could get real dangerous from here on out... Hummingbird I don't know much about your journey thus far but good luck today!

@jenna8984 I don't go to Quincy Market enough now that I live here... It's so so good for when your group all feels like different foods though! Clam chowder is a great choice.

@twodimes Is your DMV open on weekends? Ours is not but I was able to renew in 10 minutes at AAA being a member- pretty sure I found out about that from ladies on here. Getting a replacement is probably the same, or can you do it online?

I am hurting from last night, I can't even talk about it. I decided to WFH today. Normally I ask my boss if it's OK for me to WFH but today I just did it. I'd rather ask forgiveness than permission. Unfortunately H does not have a job where he can be late or WFH, but he is running about an hour late. His bosses are very upset and I'm worried he could get in serious trouble. I know he knows it was irresponsible but I also feel bad for him. He works every single night and weekend, and has worked 28 out of the last 30 days. I can't blame him for wanting a night to go out.

Blaaahhh I feel so unfocused. It probably has something to do with waking up at 3 am and not being able to fall asleep until sometime around 4.

Last night I worked on emptying out the guest bedroom closet so we could get ready for painting and I did a bunch of other pre-carpet removal prep. They're going to move our furniture but apparently we still need to take care of all of our personal items, make sure the closet floors are clear, etc. I also mowed the lawn for the first time this year! I can't believe how quickly everything is greening up and growing!

Tonight I get to babysit my Callie girl!!! I can't wait! If she crawls for me I'll find a way to share the video here so keep your fingers crossed!!!

This weekend I'm going to Augusta with my mom. Tomorrow is the 3 year anniversary of my grandma's death so we'll visit her grave and then we'll probably do a shot of Jager in her honor and go out to eat at her favorite German restaurant. On Sunday H and I will probably go to the clay pigeon shooting range for a few hours with a friend and then we'll need to paint the guest bedroom and do stuff around the house.
