Monday

Helloooooo! How was your weekend?

I had a long one. I finished work around 2 on Thursday, worked out, H's friends came over for a few hours, then they headed to a show in the city and I watched all of my Shonda shows.

Friday, I slept in, snuggled the kids, worked out for the 5th day in a row (!!!), ran some errands, then went to the Devils game with H.

Saturday, H had off work which was a nice surprise. We straightened up the house, hit up some stores, and then headed into the city for my BFF's birthday party. It was a good time!

Yesterday I was hurting a bit and pretty much didn't move off the couch all day. I was supposed to do the 'stretch' workout from T25 and I didn't even manage to do that. I watched TWD last night (I don't know how I'm going to watch the finale this Sunday, I'm so nervous) and had some company:

This morning was T25 week 2, day 1 and it was rough but easier than last Monday. I have to run to the grocery store after work tonight because I didn't meal plan or do that yesterday.

That's all I got. I hope this Monday flies by!

  • @swazzle Sounds like a good weekend!

    Friday I left work at noon and headed to the hospital to visit baby Hannah. My cousin's wife's twin also had a baby last week, at the same hospital so we got to meet both babies! She is such a peanut and she was so alert! On the way back, we stopped at a brewery (Trillium) so BF could get a special edition beer that the company ran out of right after we left. Then we went out for a small dinner and came home to relax.

    Saturday we spent the day cleaning up the front yard. Our neighbor helped us a ton so that was nice. Then we went to a party with my dad's side of the family, and it didn't go so well. There were balloons everywhere and I don't like balloons. I was on edge all night, until a kid started going around and popping them all and I had a full on anxiety attack. We had to leave and it took a long time to come down from the attack.

    Sunday we hung out and got ready in the morning, then went to my aunt's house for dinner with my parents. we had a huge ham and tons of noms. Last night I finished laundry and we just hung out on the couch with Tessie.

  • Oh yea, also H is driving me nuts with the baby name. He brought up 2 of my original top 5- that he vetoed months ago! He's like no I didn't, I don't remember that! So now those are in the running and we are adding rather than narrowing down! lol

  • @PamBeesly524 Sorry your H had a stomach ache. Those are the worst! Hope you had a great date night otherwise.

    @jenna8489 I have hated balloons since I was a kid. I had tubes in my ears and they would terrify me when they popped. Kids used to pick on me so bad about it that it grew into a fear and I hate them to this day. Doesn't matter how hard I try I can't help freaking out about them.

  • @caseface5 - Aw so many babies!

    @PamBeesly524 - Pics of the teddy bear?

    @jenna8984 - Ohhh good to know. I really like yoga so now I'm bummed I skipped it yesterday! What names are all in the running?

  • @caseface5 aaaw that's so sad! I'm sorry you still have a hard time with it.

    @swazzleIt had been down to Mark, Eli, Samuel but now there's also Jason & Joseph.  Middle is definitely Robert after my dad, and his deceased grandpa.

  • @pambeesly524 I'm impressed!!!

  • @PamBeesly524 - WOW! You did an awesome job! That's so cute!

    @jenna8984 - Great choices!

  • @jenna8984 Thanks! I love your potential names, for some reason Mark has always jumped out at me as a solid name.
  • @beachyone15 ooo the landscaping looks great!! I want to see both of those movies. Still not sold on the idea of Ben as Batman but I love him anyways. Hilarious that you didn't catch on about your brother. A lot of people bring 2-3 names to the hospital but I don't think I could do that. Part of why we found out the sex was to pick a name nice and early lol

  • @beachyone15 - The flower beds look so great! I seriously don't know if I'll be able to handle next week's episode. I don't want to say too much because of spoilers but shit. I read the Divergent trilogy but HATED the first movie so I've refused to see the rest.

  • @swazzle - I know what happens in the comics so I'm wondering if it'll pan out the same way. But whatever happens I just know it's not going to be good.
    I haven't read the Divergent books but I can imagine they are probably much better than the movies - That's usually how it goes!

  • @labro - Oh my gosh, that dress! So adorable! She looks like the happiest baby :)

  • @beachyone15 - I also know the comic spoiler and I can see it going either way really. I think I'm going to need a large glass of wine and a box of tissues regardless.

  • @labro - Ahhhh Callie is the cutest! I love that she's wearing a dress that both you and @southernpeach89 wore! That's so special <3

  •  @southernpeach89 made some bomb-diggity looking deviled eggs. So I got a hankering and whipped up some for lunch yesterday. So H starts devouring them, and asking what's in them, and it gets revealed that he's never had one before! Not one person in his entire extended family has ever brought them to a family/holiday party. I'm like how is that even possible. He says "We were poor, remember, unlike your family". I said they are fucking eggs- not caviar!!! It was hysterical.

    @labro sounds yummy. How long will you be in NC? Did you decide on something for his extra birthday present?

    @jenna8984 I didn't know being poor meant you didn't eat deviled eggs??? What in the world??? Whatever...at least he likes them now!

    We'll be gone for a week. I still haven't decided on anything. If I have time this week I might hit up some camping stores. I got permission to buy a pair of hiking boots for our trip so I'm going to hide H's birthday present in the cost for the boots and just not show him the receipt.

  • @caseface5  that sucks about the anxiety :(

    @jenna8984  I like Eli!

    @beachyone15 What a huge difference!

    @labro so cute! Love how the dress looks like it was bought recently ... such a classic style!

    Friday we had my mum, and Matt's mum and step dad over for dinner. There was plenty of ham to go around and we got to hand out left overs :)
    The original plan of making scalloped potatoes didn't go to plan as our oven is stupid levels of small. Guhh .... oh well! Since the potatoes were already cut and peeled I just made mashed potatoes.

    Saturday we ended up going to the mall. Matt wanted some gaming headphones and unfortunately they're costly. I told him that idc if Penny chews through another pair, he's not buying another pair at that price!
    Afterwards, I ended up picking up a couple tops. Headed home and I took a nap.
    I don't know what it is, but I've been tired lately.

    Sunday was dinner at Matt's dad's side of the family.
    They are the kind of people we had to game plan our type of "bean dip" for certain topics {*cough* religion and politics*cough cough*}
    We've kind of had the discussion that if we have a kid we can use said child as excuse to leave if things aren't calming down lol

    Today I came into starting a new system. It's weird because a lot of things are similar but it's different. Urg this is going to take some time!
  • @beachyone15 mmm Mexican... The flower beds look great!

    @labro Thanks! LOVE the generational dress - What an awesome idea. Callie is so so adorable.

    @futuremrshistorian I'm jealous of your pedicure!

    @eilis1228 Right back atcha with that baby quilt.. That looks SO good, I can't wait to see the finished product! And wait.. didn't he get rear ended last week? That is insanity.

  • @PamBeesly524 Awwww thank you! :) I'm still a newb to sewing, so it surprises me when my points line up and my seam allowance is correct. lol. And yes, he was rear ended last week too. I swear his bumper has a magnet on it. He's fine, but we're both in crappy moods. It's been a looooooong month.

  • @eilis1228 Sounds like your Easter was a total success! Glad the apartment is just about done and in order. Oh no, hope your H and his car are alright- what a pain.
