How is it already Monday again???

Friday I got home from work kind of late, cooked dinner with H, then ate and relaxed and went to bed pretty early.

Saturday, I made breakfast and then H and I drove around the town next to ours because they were having their community yard sale. I got 3 really great ceramic canisters that match the kitchen really well for just $5! We stopped for margaritas and lunch at one of our favorite local restaurants, took Lucy for a walk, and then went for a drive through all the beach towns. We made our first fire in the fire pit we bought last year, had some drinks, and a couple of H's friends came over. We had hotdogs and marshmallows in the fire and it was great!

Yesterday I literally didn't move off the couch the whole day. I started reading 'Me Before You' when I got up and couldn't put it down. I'm so close to the end but I'm afraid to read it at work because I just know I'm going to cry lol

Tonight I'll make dinner and maybe watch The Family with H before bed.

@Swazzle - Sounds like a great weekend, especially the fire pit!! I wish it was Friday.

Friday I left early and went to the chiropractor. He was very nice and did some small adjustments. My EP Score (whatever that is) was 212, which means that I am all out of whack. I did get a little relief when I left, so that was nice.

After the appointment, I went by a maternity store to try on bras. I tried on several sizes of different kinds and none of them felt right. I was fitted and everything, but I walked out with nothing.

Then I ran next door to Target and bought a few things. I stopped at Starbucks on the way out and got a short latte and a venti PTL. I'm sure it was hilarious, a big pregnant lady walking out of Target with a hunchback, carrying a shopping bag and two drinks.

Saturday... I did nothing. I was sick, so I didn't really get out of bed until 12:30 when Cricket's mom dropped her off. Eventually (like, dinner time) I got dressed and went with H to the grocery store. Then it was back in bed for me!

Sunday I was sick. I couldn't even make it out of the shower before throwing up. I had a quick mental debate... try to make it to the toilet, or just let it happen in the shower. I ran out of time and the shower it was. *sigh*

We went to morning service at church and by the end my back was killing me. One of the older Hispanic ladies in our group brought a hanging basket of flowers for an early Mother's Day gift. H and I normally come up with small gifts on Mother's and Father's Day, but she wanted to make sure that I got something for Mother's Day this year. It was very sweet!

I basically slept most of yesterday afternoon. I did get up at dinner and cook something for us to eat this week, and then took a long bath with some Eucalyptus epsom salts.

Hoping this week is better than last! Only 10 weeks to go!!

I had a long night last night. I was pacing the house until about midnight because of my back. I finally laid down in bed around midnight, but woke up at 1 AM feeling sick. I ate a granola bar which normally helps, but instead it made me so sick, so I ended up hugging the toilet for about a half hour after that. Ugh!

I have another chiro appointment after work today (thank heavens) and then we're meeting someone for dinner who wants to know more about my PMP certification. So I imagine that will be all I do this evening!

@Swazzle Wow it sounds like you had a perfect relaxing weekend! I can't wait for yard sales to start popping up. Our neighborhood usually does a community one and I want a bench for my hallway!

Friday I met DH for lunch and we had our bundt cake date. It was super yummy! Afterwards I went home and finally painted my nails so I could start wearing sandals without having to expose my naked toes lol. I painted them light pink. I want to do a darker color next time though because it almost blends it. DH worked that night so it was just Callie and I.

Saturday Callie had her first swim lesson and it was SOOO MUCH FUN!!!! She had a blast and was smiling and giggling. OMG I can't wait until Saturday to go again. That afternoon DH's mom and stepdad came over and baby sat Callie while Sean and I went to my friends wedding. We got home around 11:30 and I was totally regretting it Sunday morning.

I was exhausted Sunday morning ughhhh it was terrible. I wanted to sleep the whole day so obviously we didn't do much. We did make a trip to Home Depot and bought some flowers for our yard that way we are doing "Southern Living" the right way haha. Callie and I played outside with our new beach tent and bubbles and potted some plants. It all looks great! Our play date was cancelled because it was going to rain so we just napped and relaxed the rest of the day.

Callie slept like crap last night....she didn't sleep at all until like 4:00 so I'm a zombie today. DH has to work on his final paper so it might as well just be me home alone tonight. I am running to the outlet mall this afternoon to pick up my mom and DH's mom a Mother's day gift.

@Swazzle I downloaded 'Me Before You' and I really have to start reading it!

Friday I got home and hung with the pups. Piper got picked up around 6:30/7. We were glad to get things back to normal. Poor Tess barely said bye to Piper and stood at the door to go in, and proceeded to walk in and crash on the kitchen floor. BF and I just wanted out of the house so we called up our neighbors and went out for pizza.

Saturday we cleaned!! BF worked on the yard and cut up the fence posts left over from fixing it, raked, mowed the lawn, moved around some stuff and all over focused on the yard. I worked on the inside, I vacuumed the whole house, tore the couch apart and vacuumed it, and fluffed all the pillows, I mopped the kitchen floor, dusted all surfaces, and cleaned out the bathroom closet. That night we went out with my cousin and her kids, then came home and crashed early.

Yesterday I cleaned out some clothes, and did all the laundry and BF finished the yard by laying fertilizer. We also went grocery shopping and cooked dinner. Our neighbors came over last night for wrestling and we stayed up too late. We were all (BF, Tessie, and myself) all dragging this morning!

This weekend was full of baby snuggles. That's really all I accomplished, with a small dose of food shopping and laundry. Yesterday was Em's first day home. My puppy nephew is terrified of her, he's curious and wants to sniff her, but runs the second she moves. The cats didn't come out at all. So no pictures of them bonding. Because my family considers yelling, normal talking, she's used to noise and sleeps with no issue. She wakes up when it's quiet so after everyone left last night it was rough.

Good morning!

My weekend was full of work, but Friday night I got back from my mini vacation so I'm gonna talk about that!

BF and I woke up at 4am on Wednesday so that I could give Coraline her Dramamine and make sure and had plenty of time to use the bathroom. We left by 5:30 and were on our way! The drive sucks but it's better with him and we didn't fight about music once! We always fight about music so this is a big deal

We got there at 2pm and taunt Coraline how to jump out of the car! She was SO good, she didn't throw up in the car, as soon as we got there she was super excited and happy to see everyone. I was exhausted but walked her to the beach with BF's mom and her dog, Bailey. Coraline LOVED the sand, it was the first time she had ever seen it and she went CRAZY! Running, jumping, diving, digging. It was the best! I let her off leash and threw a ball for her and after about 15 minutes of that she was pooped! I was glad, 8 hours of sitting still is really hard for a puppy! BF was pooped too, and I have proof:

That night we ate a restaurant called Tortugas which was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. It was delicious. After that we got ice cream and BF and I passed out as soon as we got back.

The next day we got coffee, had an awesome breakfast at a place I forgot the name of, and then it was back to the house to teach Coraline how to swim! I got in the pool with her, held her in the water until she was paddling, and then let her swim about two feet back to the steps and get out. She did an awesome job and looked hilarious soaking wet but unfortunately I had no pics

after I dried her off we all went to the beach where Coraline impressed everyone with her off-leash fetch skills. I made some videos of that but I can't post them now because I'm mobile.

After the beach, BF's mom asked if I wanted to get hair done with her, her treat. I have been needing a cut so I went! The girl who cut my hair was really nice and she did an awesome job!

Here is the result, with a needlessly serious face.

Friday I was moody because I was leaving, but we had breakfast, went to a cute bookstore, I found a mug with a poodle on it and bought it, because I obviously needed it. We had lunch a little later at a place called Awful Arthur's and it was great! I was sad to go, the drive back SUCKED, but I made it home without hitting traffic and went straight to bed because I had to work the next morning.

Whew! That was a lot. Sorry lol.

@swazzle - I read 'Me Before You' but can't for the life of me remember how it ended. I remember feeling like I had to force myself to keep reading it at one point, it just seemed to really get bogged down.

@twodimes - I saw Garth back in 2009 and it was AMAZEBALLS. Even more so because somehow we had lucked out and gotten front row seats!

@untouchablets - That's a great cut on you!

This weekend was awesome. I flew up to Boston on Friday afternoon for a girls weekend. Our hotel was awesome and right by the waterfront. We ended up eating two dinners Friday night - apps and wine at Legal Seafood, and then we went to a place called The Daily Catch for more apps and a split entree and more wine. We were STUFFED.

I felt pretty crappy Saturday morning (I think the wine reacted with my IVF meds), and then that turned into a full blown scratchy throat and cold. Butttt, it was still a gorgeous day. No clouds, sunny, a little windy. We did a duck boat tour (more on that in a minute), walked down to Fenway, ate lunch outside, walked back to Newbury Street, got a Georgetown Cupcake (okay, TWO), then walked to Fanueil Hall. Overall we walked over 6.5 miles.

So, we did the duck boat tour at 10:30. On our way back around 11:30, we passed another duck boat that was parked in the middle of the road and was surrounded fire trucks and police cars and I could see the people getting off the boat. Later, we ended up walking right back by there, and the duck boat was still there. It had run over two people on a motor scooter and one of them had died. It was so sad and we talked a lot about it for the rest of the day.

After we got back to our hotel we all napped (dang we're old), then took showers and went to the North End for dinner. The place that was suggested to us was full for the night (by 7:30!) so we ended up at a place called Rabia's. It was SO GOOD. I had a lobster roll, so I was in heaven. I had two sips of wine and decided my body did NOT need that, so I'm officially off alcohol for a month (hopefully 9 months!).

By the time I got home Sunday, I crawled in bed and basically didn't get up for the rest of the day. It was so much fun though.

@TwoDimes - Aaaah, I am so jealous of your Garth Brooks concert-going experience. He has been on my list to see since I was about 10 years old!

My weekend was pretty quiet. Friday I went to work in the morning and then came home in the afternoon...and then BF called and we got to have a 3-hour phone conversation (!!!!!!) during which I consumed a bottle of wine and a box of macaroni and cheese. I went to bed shortly after we got off the phone.

Saturday I went for a run and ran some errands--our Whole Foods was having a 20% off case of wine sale, so I went and stocked up. They had my favorite chardonnay (just called "Butter") also on sale, so now I have 2 bottles of that which makes me happy. I went to Target and then came home and took a nap. Saturday night I was a friend's +1 for a wedding here in town, so that was fun to get dressed up and enjoy an open bar and delicious cake. It was a fun wedding--well-hosted, the bride's dress was fabulous, and the band was amazing. I seriously have never heard such a good wedding band in my life. The dance floor was packed the entire night.

Yesterday I ran and went to yoga, and then last night I went to evening Mass with a friend. Afterwords we went out to eat, and I ate ALL the things: a huge burger and beer and potato chips. So I didn't weigh in this morning because I didn't want to face it.

Today I'm at work but it's quiet, because classes are over. I'm going to work on some grading and some other things I need to do, but otherwise it's a quiet day.

I saw all the swimming Callie pictures though and they were SO FREAKING ADORABLE. She is the cutest ever.

@twodimes - I'm so glad you guys had a blast at the concert. I've never seen Garth live but I would imagine he is an amazing performer.

@cu97tiger - I read about that person that died...so sad.

@speakeasy14 - What a little angel! I think it is great that she gets used to noise early. As to the pets, they will come around. Honestly, indifference to staying away from the baby is the best reaction...so long as it isn't genuine fear. It shows deference to the mom/dad and what a dog would do in real life with a bitch that just became a mom.

I'm beat this morning. We went to visit Raj Friday night and spent an hour with him just calming him down and feeding him chicken. Raj got to come home on Saturday at around 8 am so we picked him up...getting him into and out of the car was a trip let me tell you. Poor guy is in a lot of pain but he is doing remarkably well recovery wise...way better than the last time. He's on about 18 pills a day (sometimes more depending on pain) and fights EVERY LAST ONE so that isn't pleasant (there is no "hiding" pills in food with him either....cream cheese, peanut butter, sausages, ground beef, pill pockets, you name it, he sniffs it out and refuses it). Its been a sleepless few nights with his medicine rotation and his pain/restlessness. He's peeing just fine thankfully but has yet to have a poo so hopefully that comes soon...all that medicine plus the pain must be backing him up.

I got the most lovely, lovely surprise this weekend for Ani. Really brought tears to my eyes and made me realize how wonderful it is to have such amazing friends. I also seriously can't believe she will be here in 5 weeks...or less (yikes)! Over the weekend I had some serious cramping that I think are the beginnings of contractions (maybe strong Braxton Hicks). Thankfully they went away with lots of water and my feet up but I had a "oh shit!" moment this weekend.

Tonight we have to put the cone on him to go to a birthing class (C-Sections are covered and I really need H there so we'll sedate Raj before we go so he doesn't freak out). H is home with Raj today, I'll be home with him tomorrow, H is home with him on Wednesday and hopefully we can leave him for a half day Thursday on his own with a stop from the dog walker because H has to work and so do I. Like I said though, putting it in perspective Raj is doing great compared to last time...he started putting weight on the leg that had surgery on it even (toe touching).

Our weekend plans to finish some yard projects got kind of ruined by all the rainy, stormy, haily weather so we didn't get a ton done. On Saturday H mowed and edged the lawn while I trimmed some bushes, then we had to rush inside because of the rain. My mom came over that evening and we made ST Balsamic Flank Steak for dinner and she helped me pick a paint color for the bathroom!

Pretty sure it was HGTV for Sherwin Williams Foothills.

Sunday we didn't do much of anything at all. I think we were both worn out by the past few weeks and we both took a break. Tonight we seriously need to get back on track with working on the bathroom though since we absolutely have to be done by next Thursday before @GoldenPenguin and her H arrive since we don't need 4 people all sharing a small bathroom!

@minskat30 - Mine is from a store called Ocean State Job Lot. We bought it last summer and only just used it for the first time but it was so relaxing, I hope we do it once a week!

I am so glad Raj is doing so well! That's such great news!

I seriously can't believe Ani will be here in 5 weeks!

Damn it's a chatty day today!
We had a great weekend. Friday we went grocery shopping to get it out of the way and had Chinese for dinner. I ordered veggie pad thai which was one of the lower calorie options and I really liked it a lot - will definitely order it again. I also mailed my NEY surprise gift!
Saturday we had a community garage sale, which went pretty well. H and I decided early on that we didn't want to be out all day, so we priced everything low and made a little over $100 in 2 hours. Not bad. The rest of the day we just lounged.
Sunday morning H got a call that our insurance company is making us decide in 2 DAYS whether or not we want to keep H's hail-damaged truck. They'll still give us a payout if we keep it, but we'll get even more if we let them take it. So we freaked out and felt like we had to go look at new cars RIGHT THIS SECOND. Turns out he called this morning to verify and they said no, you actually have 30 days to decide. UGH. Well, at least we have some time. We also had the best dinner last night. Shredded chicken bowls with black beans, rotel tomatoes and green chilis, lettuce, cheese, and avocado. Yum!

@swazzle - That sounds like the perfect weekend. I've been wanting to get a fire pit!
@CocoBellaF - I hope you feel better this week. Just keep counting down!
@southernpeach89 - I'm so glad Callie enjoyed her first swim lesson - that's great!!
@LizzyTish88 - I wish I could get that motivated to clean! It's so hard on the weekends when all I want to do is lay on the couch.

@southerpeach89 - I know! I need to finish packing my hospital bag! I have the "must haves" packed at least...including a certain something I can't wait to AW when she arrives.
