Happy Friday!!!

Last night BF and I switched out my FitBit and I am putting it to good use today by cleaning my files at work! I'm dressed way down so that I can move all my files. Time to close out the year! WOOHOO!!

Also I'm excited because the Superintendent is considering giving us summer hours!! I would be working either 8-2 or 8-3 all summer with no adjustment in pay. Crossing my finger for that!!

Tomorrow is my best friend's wedding shower at a new seafood place BF has been dying to try and Sunday is Father's Day. Not sure what we are doing but I will see my Step-dad.

BRING ON THE WEEKEND!

I found out I have more vacation time than I thought, so I'll return to work Nov 1st and then have off Thanksgiving week and Christmas week. Woohoo!!

No plans this weekend, the usual couch relaxing. Monday I have a doc apt at 9am so H & I are taking the rest of the day off. I wanted to go to the ocean but it's going to be much hotter and sunnier inland so we'll just bring the kayak to the lake instead. My bathing suit bottoms fit, so I just bought a larger bikini top at walmart for $2.50- SCORE. A friend gave me her actual maternity suit but I'm not modest enough for the tankini haahaha.

H and I went out for delicious sushi last night and started watching the US v Ecuador game but I fell asleep while it was still 1-0. Yay USA!

Tonight I'm meeting my BFF in the city to get our nails done and probably grab a bite to eat.

Tomorrow is H's birthday! I have to run to the stupid fucking dentist in the morning then we're having breakfast with SFIL and I have no idea who else because H's family is weird and I'll just leave it at that. I'm hoping that maybe he'll want to go spend a few hours at the beach because I'm already starting to lose my tan. Tomorrow night, we're going to see The Cure in the city with 2 of H's friends which should be a lot of fun!

Sunday I'm hoping to not be too hungover because I'm heading to DE to see my dad for Father's Day and also my grandmother who just had heart surgery this week.

It's going to be a really busy weekend but what can ya do.

Happy Friday! I went through yesterday's thread last night and laughed through the beginning with @Swazzle and @labro wondering where everyone was. Too quiet! Also @AlPacina countres she wants to visit on Wed... A++

Not many meetings today, thank goodness. H and I are trying a new restaurant in Boston for date night tonight.. I'm excited to go out with him! A friend is coming to visit this weekend so that should be nice.

Good morning. I had the worst migraine/nausea all day yesterday so I stayed home from work. Thank God it was gone by dinnertime and I was finally able to eat. Looking forward to tonight though. For date night, H and I are going to see Finding Dory and eat somewhere. Saturday I told my BFF I would help her re-paint since she's moving out in a week and has to re-paint all the walls that aren't white. Sunday I'm having dinner with my family for Father's Day. Not sure what H is doing with his dad. Since our families ALWAYS plan things at the same time every holiday, we decided we'll just do Mother's/Father's day with our own parents. So much easier that way. Hoping this Friday flies by!

@LizzyTish88 - OMG, I would die to have summer hours. I hope you get it!
@jenna8984 - That sounds fun. Don't get sunburned!

I really need to get some work done today, so I'll be in & out, but I'm here!

@swazzle - what sushi's did you get last night?? You usually tell us, and I'm feeling neglected because I don't know what you ate.

@LizzyTish88 - how do you like the Alta so far? I REALLY need them to release the stainless steel bands, like yesterday.

@PamBeesly524 - What restaurant are you going to? Have you stalked the menu yet?

I'm going back to Mystic this weekend. I don't particularly WANT to, but H does, since he didn't go last weekend, so I guess we're going. I'm planning on sitting by the pool & riding the inflatable flamingos from last weekend. Maybe we'll even get to go have lobster rolls again. You know, it's not sounding all that terrible, now that I think about it.

@GoldenPenguin - We shared (from opposite sides of the table) a spicy kani salad, an orange dragon roll (spicy salmon, crunchy, crab, cucumber, topped with salmon and av) and a station roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, av, black tobiko, chef's sauce). So yum.

@swazzle - I'm gonna be honest, I've never tried that. But it sounds SO.GOOD. Last night H made grilled chicken paninis with cheese and smashed avocado and it was the best dinner ever!

@jenna8984 hahaha I burst out laughing over your modesty comment! I too am not modest enough for a tankini (though my bf has asked if I own anything that covers my butt hahaha). Rock that baby bump!

@GoldenPenguin I'm jealous that you're getting lobster roll again! I miss good lobster rolls.
@beachyone15 ugh migraines are the worst. I found that cutting out fast & fried food drastically reduced the frequency in my migraines. I also carry peppermint oil at all times, and if I feel like I'm getting a migraine will rub some on my temples and the back of my neck (doesn't stop them but helps a ton).
@swazzle Happy birthday to your H!

This weekend we'll be car shopping. We are officially down to 0 cars (including the two that we were borrowing from family). We've also called an attorney about the mechanic who still has my car and who is the reason my bf's car died.

Until we have at least one car, I don't see getting out of the house too much. I'll probably just give the house a deep clean. Sunday one of my coworkers is coming over and we're going to go out to brunch for her birthday.

@jenna8984 - I wish I would have had the confidence to rock a bikini when I was pregnant. I thought my bump was beautiful, but I got a ton of stretchmarks which made me feel self conscious

I'm just counting down the hours till 5 O'clock. Me and H stayed up late watching the Cavs game last night (I'm from Cleveland) Go Cavs! Tonight were having friends over and grilling out steak. They will bring their two dogs to play with ours, should be a good time. Baby AJ has been really good at going to bed at 9pm so I'm hoping she does again tonight so we can enjoy having some adult time

I had another productive morning thanks to WFH! Cinders and I did three laps around the neighborhood (so about 3 miles) up and down the hills and dales. Then I raked leaves up because we had a crazy wind storm the other night and our yard was covered...plus raking leaves in 80 degree weather in the shade is a lot more pleasant than what it will be a few hours from now...aka 98+ in the sun.

Tomorrow we're taking my dad out for donuts and then shopping (at his request) for Father's Day. My dad has to work on Sunday and my mom is travelling for work so we're celebrating a bit early. Then later in the afternoon I get to spend the rest of the day babysitting my Callie girl!!!!!!!!! @southernpeach89's H shared some videos last night of Callie cruising along with a pushtoy thing so I can't wait to see her semi-walking for myself!!! Such a strong little over-achiever...just like her Aunt LaBro!

We don't have plans Sunday which means we'll probably do some yard work, make lunches for the week, all sorts of super exciting stuff like that.

Oh update- I think that lady at work got the hint last time that I backed away from her. She just went to stick her hands out toward my belly and then she saw my face and pulled them back in. She said "I just want to feel him move" and I said "well he's too big so he doesn't have room to move around anymore". LIE but it got her to back away!

Even though I'm getting more annoyed by the minute about going out tonight... I wore one of my favorite dresses and I feel cute today! I got it from Old Navy several years ago and it miraculously still fits and is still in great condition. I swore I'd be wearing my Birks every day this summer and I have mostly not been wrong.

@jenna8984 - People are so rude. My SIL, who I'm pretty close with, I haven't even touched her belly without her inviting me to first. We were sitting on the couch last weekend & I could see her belly moving, and I was just watching, and she goes "you can feel if you want to" and OF COURSE I wanted to, but I wasn't going to ask, or JUST DO IT. I just can't imagine invading someone's space like that. UGH.

We're eyeing a couple of options but I really want to go to this place called Picco. It has amazing pizza and I've heard they have really amazing ice cream too. It's casual but has fancy-ish food.

FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Today I have my interview at 1pm, and I'm really excited about it. I feel very prepared, so I think it will go well.

H has been working late every night this week, so I think he wants a quiet night in. We'll probably eat leftovers and watch Orange Is The New Black.

Tomorrow I have brunch plans with my cousin and one of our mutual friends. Afterwards my cousin and I may stop by to see my parents, and then I'll head home and hang out with H and the pup. Not sure what we'll get up to Saturday night.

On Sunday we'll go see the ILs for Father's Day. My step-dad HATES doing anything where he's the center of attention, so he never wants us to come over on Father's Day, which makes it easy to go see FIL every year. MIL complained that FIL ate all of her chocolate we gave her for Mother's Day, so we're going to buy more Godiva for both of them. LOL. Sunday night is Game of Thrones! Should be a great episode!

Personal confession/LiveJournal time: Father's Day is a weird holiday for me. Father's Day 2009 was the last time I ever spoke with my dad. He died a few days later unexpectedly. He and I had a strained relationship (I hadn't seen him in about two years when he died), but that conversation was actually really sweet and thoughtful. Eerily so. Anywho, I've dealt with my grief over his death, but Father's Day is still a little strange for me. Hard to believe it's been 7 years! His wake was the day before my 21st birthday, so all of my family members kept giving me alcohol hahahaha. Definitely a memorable and unique 21st birthday, that's for sure.

All right, work is still nuts, so I need to get to it. I may log in over the weekend and get some work done too. *le sigh* Hope you all have a wonderful day and an amazing weekend! I'll try and update this afternoon about the interview if I get any concrete feedback.
