Today is my first half day Friday!! BF's mom got me a gift card to Victoria's Secret for my b-day so I am planning to head there after work along with Kohl's to return some stuff.

Tomorrow I have a wedding shower to go to and that's really it for the weekend. We have to get the house ready for our 4th party next weekend, so that will be keeping us very busy!

What's everyone up to this weekend?

morning all... Currently at the vet with Cooper hoping to figure out what's going on with his ear. Last night I went to Target - I had a blast finding stuff for my co-workers basket. Shopping for a 2-year-old is fun!

i have a 9 mile run tomorrow, and I'm grabbing dinner with some work girlfriends tomorrow night. Sunday is a 5k at a brewery with some couple friends of ours and then we're probably all heading to the beach for a nap.

@LizzyTish88 I love Victoria's Secret lotion! That's usually what I get when I go shopping there or a bathing suit. Have a fun half day!

Mom's night out last night was fun. We went to this Italian restaurant that was ok...I've had better Italian food before and afterwards we went and saw "Me Before You". It was such a cute movie but also very sad. I teared up towards the end but it's still a feel good ending.

This afternoon @labro and I are going to go print off Callie's bday invitations! I'm so excited to see them printed! Tonight we are doing a belated Father's Day celebration for DH. Tomorrow afternoon he is golfing all day with his Dad and Brother and tonight I'm cooking him a big dinner that will consist of Steak, baked potatoes, brussel sprouts, basil mozzarella bites, and cookie layer cake!

Saturday we don't have many plans since DH will be golfing all day. I plan to take Callie to the pool and then my neighborhood is doing a 4th of July BBQ that I will probably take her to afterwards.

Sunday DH has to work all day so after church Callie and I will probably hang out with family and if it's nice out maybe head to the park or the pool for a relaxing day.

@swazzle I really hope your day isn't total chaos. I've been following the news like crazy, and am honestly terrified for the future.

@LizzyTish88 they're getting rid of swimwear, which is 70% off now. Plus it's the semi-annual sale, so go crazy with that giftcard!

@PamBeesly524 hope they figure out what's going on with Cooper soon!

@southernpeach89 I can't believe it's time to plan her first birthday already!

My bf had a guys night, so I watched PLL (@swazzle, @goldenpenguin, @alpacina -- text/call as soon as you watch it!) & OITNB with Calla. Tonight we're going to go on a hike.

The Accord my bf test drove ended up being more than the listing price and the dealership would not budge. So we're still carless. We didn't have time to deal with the mechanic yesterday, so he's there now. If he doesn't get my car, I told him to call the cops.

This weekend will be laundry, car shopping, and lounging outside, possibly kayaking as well.

Good morning! We made it! This has felt like a long week for me so I'm glad it's almost over. Tonight is date night so H and I are going to our favorite pizza/wine bar. Words cannot express how excited I am for that!
Saturday we are helping H's brother move apartments (in Austin). His whole family is coming too (parents, grandparents, dog). The last time 7 people tried to move someone it was a cluster bc everyone in H's family thinks they are in charge. Hopefully this time will be easier. There is also a coffee place I want to try in downtown Austin - they fire-roast their own beans!
Sunday I hope to do nothing but sleep in. Then we'll go pick up our groceries curbside like last week. No more crowded crazy grocery store shopping for me!

@LizzyTish88 - What are you doing/cooking for your 4th party? Sounds like fun!
@PamBeesly524 - My fingers are crossed that it's nothing serious. Poor Cooper!
@southernpeach89 - Your dinners always sound so good! I love cookie cake.
@speakeasy14 - Good luck with the car situation. I hope he can get it back and y'all can be done with that mess.

Guys I am seriously IN SHOCK over the results last night of the Brexit vote. Like, I legit never seriously thought that Great Britain would leave the EU. They've been in the EU or its previous forms since the early 1970s and I just don't know what will happen now. I kind of semi-wonder if Germany will leave next...but then we're going to see an even bigger crash in the European economy then I think we'll see because of GB leaving. Anyway, I am watching my investments closely today just to see what happens...

I hope @Swazzle is surviving ok.

@speakeasy14 Vibes for your BF today with the mechanic! I hope you get your car back one way or another. That's super annoying the dealership wouldn't negotiate and wanted MORE than list price. Wtf.

@southernpeach89 I am so excited for our fancy coffee date this afternoon!

@PamBeesly524 I hope the vet is able to help poor Cooper!!! Have fun this weekend at the 5k!

Today is just WFH, coffee with @southernpeach89, and then no plans tonight. Tomorrow H has to work most of the day so I am meeting up with a friend to do a little shopping. Otherwise I'll probably just clean and do yardwork.

Sunday is no plans again which means I'll probably try to finagle some Callie time.

@labro - Yeah, it should be easier this time. We were the ones who moved last time and everyone kept telling me what to do/where to put things. I was like, no...It's MY house so I'M in charge. I'M gonna tell you where I want things, kthnxbai.

Good morning! I just got home from a walk outside. It was only 15 minutes or so lol Eventually I will work up to something more substantial.

My car is at the mechanic today, so it will be cleaning and TV until my H comes home. We usually go out on Friday nights, but no clue where we are going tonight. Tomorrow I want to get grocery shopping done early and then go shopping with my H for his summer clothes. We want to go to the drive-in too- looks like Independence Day 2 came out. I know my H is going to ask if we can see it lol I have no idea what I am doing on Sunday. Looks like an easy weekend.

@labro Currently having a discussion with a friend from Germany. He says that Germany will never leave because they're too dependent on the EU. I hope he's right.

Also... the kids are currently outside and get to play with the horn on the fire truck... I need ear plugs

@speakeasy14 I hope so too...and generally the Germans are pretty level headed. But you keep hearing about "fringe" groups who want to leave, and look what so-called "fringe" groups have now down to Great Britain. If Germany were to leave the EU the whole system would completely collapse.

Hey everyone thanks for the well wishes! I can't stay and play because this week has been awful and I was late to work today BUT it seems like everything with Coop is ok - after the vet cleaned the spot out it looks like he may have just scratched himself with his back claw.. Since cat claws are NASTY she thinks the skin may have gotten super irritated because of it and now he's losing hair and getting oozy. Now that it's clean it looks better and we have to keep it clean and use an ointment on us.. vibes that Cooper will actually let us do that!

@twodimes The whole situation is one giant nightmare, and for awhile was the elephant in the room within my house. He's had it since February technically, I got it back for like two weeks. Still was having issues, so we brought it back. That's when they figured out the problem. There's a leak in one of the valves in the head gasket. He quoted us ridiculously low, so at first my bf kept saying to let him take his time because he was saving us a lot of money.

My bf just called - car is done. Coincidentally the mechanic is going out of business....

I am alive.

I worked until 5pm yesterday, came back at 9pm and worked until 5am, slept at the hotel for 4.5 hours and came back at 10:30am and here I am until 5pm.

I've literally never been more tired in my whole life.

@swazzle – Sending you so many hugs as you are probably stressed the fuck out right now. And definitely lacking sleep. Both of which suck.

@PamBeesly524 – A 5k at a brewery sounds like my kind of run! There is one somewhere along the Columbia river where it’s only a 0.5k or something. The course just takes you from the parking lot into the bar and then you drink. I think it’s a fundraiser, but it sounds hilarious, albeit anticlimactic.

@speakeasy14 – I’m only halfway through PLL. My BF gave me hard time about watching it because I thought the show was over for good at the end of last season, haha. I promised him he’d never have to watch it again.

@labro – I also did not think Britain would vote to leave. I was barely reading articles about it because I was so confident they would vote to stay. I really don’t think Germany will leave because they seem to hold a lot of the power and influence. Honestly, all this news has done for me is gotten me more worried about Trump again.

@500days – I’m so excited for Independence Day!! (The movie…… well, and the day)

@TwoDimes – I think that event sounds SO FUN. I would love to compete in that!

I am ready for the weekend!

I've spent most of this morning catching up on Brexit articles because I was not paying enough attention before the vote. I knew the vote was happening, but really didn't dig too much into the details.

Tonight I'll probably make dinner at home, and I want to read more Hunger Games, but I've been abandoning BF the last couple of nights so maybe we'll curl up with some booze and watch OITNB.

Tomorrow morning I want to go for a hike, because I haven't even gotten to hike at all this year and that's stupid. Maybe we can go out for dinner, and then Flight Of The Conchords is tomorrow night! I got great seats, but I'm always worried that buying secondhand electronic tickets means maybe they sold them to other people too and I'll get denied. Unlikely, but possible.

Sunday I will probably be wicked tired, so hopefully I can just rest and read.

How does everyone make their sweet tea?

I usually brew it hot and then add brown sugar. I don't have enough patience to make simple syrup haha

@TwoDimes Our neighborhood has a "social committee" that puts these types of things together. I think they're a committee set up through the HOA I believe. I haven't been to anything yet that they have put together so hopefully it will be fun.

@speakeasy14 - I've never heard of adding brown sugar. Might have to try that. I do the same, brew it hot, then add white sugar. My dad is the best tea-maker though. I pretty much expect it at every holiday meal.

@speakeasy14 - I only make it in the summer, really, and even then I just leave a pitcher of water with some tea bags outside in the sun, then I'll add white sugar. I'm from Washington, though. We're not known for sweet tea or anything. Want to know how I make beer?
