If not, I guess there is now. Happy Monday!
Thanks for the well wishes Friday, everyone. I was summoned to my mom's again Thursday night: she was feeling short of breath and lightheaded and they were going to admit her, but she didn't want to stay in the hospital so she got them to release her on the condition that someone stayed with her overnight. Enter me. They ran an EKG and a CT scan to make sure she didn't have a blood clot on her lungs or anything, and fortunately that was clear. Most likely it was because her hemoglobin was low and she wasn't eating well. Pretty much everything in her blood count was low (I pictured it as sort of watered down red Koolaid rather than the usual stuff), which is why she had a transfusion Friday. We had to wait forrrrrrrrreverrrrrrr: they wanted to type and crossmatch her (even though the same hospital typed her before her biopsy), and then there was an emergency elsewhere, and in total we were there for almost 4 hours before she actually got any blood. She slept almost the whole time, so I played on my phone until it died. When we were done, we picked up her groceries, and she sent me on my way, in time for rush hour. DH picked up the kids and took Wooz to her riding lesson, and I made it home with takeout right before they did.
Saturday, we got the rest of Wooz's new furniture, moved her old stuff to DS's room, and moved DS old furniture downstairs to the guest bedroom. Yesterday, Wooz had a last minute play date while DH assembled Wooz's dresser (IKEA FTW) and I caught up on chores and entertained DS. He is at an awesome age: "Do I have bones in my leg? Do I have bones in my foot? Does a fish have bones in its body? Does a rock have bones?" So much to make sense of.
How was the weekend, everyone?
