I'll go first. We chose a "little" one this year because we are having more people over and this way we don't have to ditch the couch somewhere and lose seating.
We also got the fig tree in on the action so it wouldn't be jealous.
We have a tradition of watching Die Hard while decorating (it is a Christmas movie, you know!). So, I like to get a pic of the tree with a shot of Die Hard in the background.
@SaintPaulGal, that's what you call a little tree?!?! I'd like to see what you call a regular tree!
H and I have never had a tree, even though he really wants one. We just haven't gotten around to it. Maybe this year, but we don't yet know if we'll be where we're currently staying or if we'll have moved to a different home. Should know soon, so we'll see.

Somehow I don't seem to have a photo of last year's tree once it was inside and decorated, but here it is at the tree farm:
It's a little deceptive because FI is quite short and the perspective is a little wonky, but it was about 9 feet tall and probably 6-7 feet in diameter. We typically go for "fat" trees like this one, but this year we decided to try out "skinny."
Here's ours. First year in our house, has all of the ornaments my family has gotten me and in laws have gotten H over the years on it. We didn't have a tree topper so used a Santa hat instead haha.
Here is our tree. It's our second Christmas in our house (our first house!), but we moved in 5 days before Christmas last year (which I do not recommend), so this is our first tree in our first house.
The guy who gave our tree a fresh cut at the bottom gave us the piece he cut off so we can make an ornament out of it (once the sap dries lol).
The random stocking hanging from the sconce was our puppy girl's. Her collar is on the mantel in this pic, but I have since hung it on the tree.
We agreed not to decorate this year since we're Honeymooning over Christmas so 3 wreaths, 14 dinosaurs, 2 pillows, some outdoor greenery and 2 tinsel trees later I called it quits. Hey, I tried really hard for like 5 minutes.
Me! I used to set up 3. I had to settle for 2 this year because now I have a husband and he came with furniture. (Ignore the dog, she wouldn't move).
How do you even get that tree up there...and more importantly is it decorated before or after it goes in that window?
@holyguacamole79 yes, but you should be warned that there is glitter EVERYWHERE.
@cowgirl8238 I climb up there with a ladder. It's prelit and in 3 sections and the ribbons stay on.
I like the trampoline idea...One of our neighbors just put a big wreath in their window, but your tree is much cooler. At some point I will take a picture of our trees and share!
We have an artificial, pre-lit 7.5' tree that I used to love to deck out top to bottom with ornaments, tinsel, garland, and candy canes. All of the fun starts around the 4' mark now...for obvious reasons
@kimmiinthemitten your version of "not decorating" is the same as my version of "lots of Christmas decor"
Did my phone really autocorrect reindeer to dinosaurs? That's hilarious!
I wondered about that! But you know, everyone has their own way of decorating for the holidays. Hope you have a fabulous wedding weekend and can't wait for pictures.
This is all too funny! I tried changing my autocorrect settings a while back and now it changes some words into crazy things and I miss them on occasion, but this one takes the cake!

Small, fake tree because H was worried the cat and/or dog would knock it over into the wood stove.
