@Heffalump at the his time of year we usually have at least two mail trucks delivering just packages every day then the mail truck just running the regular route. Mail trucks have such a distinctive sound I can hear it everywhere in the house.
I don't think H and I have ever successfully gotten each other surprise gifts that were exchanged on the correct day (Christmas, birthday, etc.).
We're both super particular people, so our wants are really specific. I don't want a food processor, I want the Kitchenaid 13-cup food processor in silver, that kinda thing.
So I picked out my gift a few weeks ago.
He confessed to me that over the weekend he saw - without intentionally looking for it - the confirmation email I got about his Christmas gift.
I wish I could say we're particular, but honestly it's more we're both basically children and can't wait. LMFAO
DH's gift to me arrived in the mail yesterday. He said I'd know exactly what it was as soon as I saw the envelope, and I do. A gift card for a massage.
Checking in from the 'moon....because it's been pouring for hours! Wah wah! This place is gorgeous...except it had almost nothing to do indoors. My H (I still like saying that) asked if I'm typing that he's a disaster because he's like a 5 year old who wants to go out and play. My only real complaint isn't hat I have yet to see an empanada in the menus. I did not travel to Mexico to leave without that fried goodness.
I saw yesterday the post about customs...now in Cancun, there is no green light so we hit the red and walked through. Perhaps we're just badasses.
@missjeanlouise hope you had a safe trip and can check in soon, but after you've caught up in the brown chicken brown cow.
@addiecake Ive been thinking about you....how's the adoption process?

@kimmiinthemitten It's getting there. I just dropped the background check paperwork off for our friends who will be our emergency on-call people today. I should have done it like 2 weeks ago, but work and holiday stuff got in the way.
We just finished the home study process a few weeks ago, which was hours and hours of interviews and inspections of our house. All my husband and I have left to complete is to finish filling out some forms and get our physicals, and then we can turn in the last of the paperwork. From there, our home study worker goes before a panel to advocate for our approval.
It's been a long, many-months process, but we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Thanks for asking!
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14
