Whenever my H and I see an older couple walking and holding hands or with their arms around each other, we smile at each other and know that will be us someday. We both love animals and have a major soft spot for dogs and cats. Just like a cat and dog can be friends and be snuggly together, my H and I both embrace how our similarities and differences mesh to make us the perfect companions for each other.

That puppy and kitty are so damn cute! We have a long haired dachshund just like that - no kitty though.

We work well together, because the stuff he's good at, I'm not, and vice-versa. You know...we fill gaps.

H and I are a couple of weirdos. We are so similar its scary because we will often think of things, but the other person will say it out loud first. So this quote from Dr. Seuss seems perfect for us.

H was just resigning to the fact that he was probably going to be single for life. He lived at home with his mom to help her out after FIL passed. It was a tough time for him. He was doing online dating, but nothing really came of it for him and he was about to give up. His BFF told him to stick with it a little while longer.

He still remembers when and where he was when I "winked" at him on Match. We emailed and talked on the phone a few times before our first date. I joke he got a 2nd date because he paid for dinner (I always offered first dates to go dutch). But in reality, I thought I blew it by ordering a beer (he got a soda) and talking too much! Our 2nd date we went bowling and he is an avid bowler (I have only EVER beaten him once) and when he got a strike - asked for a kiss! And I teased him for being so forward!

He credits me for bringing him back after his dad's passing. He was so focused on his mom, he didn't always take care of himself. I got him to do things he hadn't done since his dad passed, like Phillies game, concerts, and other fun things. I took him to his first ever Eagles game and showed him how to properly tailgate! He has also traveled so much more with me than he ever imagined. He said he never pictured himself marrying or being a dad until he met me.

We bring out the best in each other and are a team. We know each other weaknesses and strengths. And if its something he's weak at, I usually excel and vice versa. He gives me foot rubs and I give him back scratches in return!

He also likes to point out (to me only) that I farted in front of the other first!

I'm the hug and roller. DH's love language is touch and mine...is not. If he had his way, we'd sleep on top of each other (when we're in the same bed, which is not often). We'll occasionally cuddle, but I want my side and a separate blanket when we're done.

About a month ago we had a conversation about 2 spiders in the garage. Thelma and Louise. One had a gun, but I reminded M that spiders have too many legs and not enough balance. Terrible aim.

When we moved into our house Christmas 2015, there was a chubby bird living in the underside of an eave of our garage. We couldn't bear to evict him in the middle of a New England winter, so we waited until spring to board up the hole. In the meantime, H and I named him (because duh.) He (the bird, not H) would leave droppings that looked like tiny white jelly beans underneath his eave apartment and we were constantly sweeping up after him. So we named him Birdie Bott (Harry Potter reference and because of the "every flavor beans").

Please send help.

After a lot of thought I decided we are these people first (he'd never hurt me on purpose, but I'm pretty sure he'll kill me by accident). But we're both clumsy and always laughing.

I would name the bird something random like Allan or Steve {from the voice over of the animal yelling "ALLAN! ALLAN! ALLAN! Oh ... that's not Allan. That's Steve .... STEVE! STEVE! STEVE!"

Side note, we still talk about Thelma and Louise. Now there's a large spider in our basement and we call it "Thelma's Revenge"
