    A lawyer friend of mine stated on FB (yes I know everything we read on FB is true) that the POTUS can't decline the salary. Don't know if he is correct or not.

    Wow.  Yeah.  Saying it's just fine and dandy to starve children and elderly people seems to be a really extreme viewpoint...even for an uber-conservative.

    I know this wasn't your point, but I couldn't help but add...

    Unless one of the worst national disasters to hit our country happens while they're on vacation (an entire neighboring state away, smh).  And they can't stop stuffing their face with birthday cake and champagne to do more than barely acknowledge it, ie George W. Bush in regards to Hurricane Katrina.

    Obviously, I'm still bitter and despise GWB.  But still think he was a better POTUS than Trump, smh.  It pains me so much to say that because, never in my wildest dreams, did I ever think we'd have a POTUS I'd have stronger negative feelings for.

    I used to work for a defense contractor and my work site was a Naval facility.  Every year about a month before Christmas, we'd all be e-mailed the official Federal policy on gifts, ie it can't be cash, there are value limits, etc.

    I remember my boss making a wise comment.  Even if someone/an organization has the best intentions and follows the letter of the law, you never want to give even the PERCEPTION of impropriety. 

    I think Trump and members of his administration have walked well past "perception".

    Y'all, I have been in the same room with Mick Mulvaney.  He is gross.  Think used car salesman crossed with televangelist, in an ill-fitting suit.  It doesn't surprise me that he and Trump have the same fan base.  Cut from the same cloth.

    My Congressman had a townhall today after two years of silence. Naturally he held it at 8am the day after St Pats, but still filled a room. 

    We slept in and are now watching the live stream from earlier. It's pretty amazing!

    And of course Tillerson isn't attending the NATO meeting in Brussels in April. 

    Did anyone watch the hearing about the Russian involvement. Holy shit the questions the Rebublicans were asking were making me stabby. At one point they asked about a fucking tweet that Trump made about the hearing while the hearing was still happening.

    IMO, The only reason this isn't happening is because the American Airlines are feeling threaten by the gulf airlines. Can you imagine someone traveling to the US for business not being able to access their work on anything but a phone for 12 hours? Trump is isolating the US from the rest of the world in a time when people need to expand their lives.

    Also, not Trump related...but Tomi Lahren got suspended from The Blaze (fucking Glenn Beck's website...I think Samantha Bee trying to make him look 'all right' in her interview with him was a misstep) for saying to stay 'away from my guns and out of my body' (or something like that).  http://dailycaller.com/2017/03/20/tomi-lahren-suspended-from-the-blaze/
