@mrsconn23 It's hilarious that she literally just flew the coop!  Who even does that?  Glad your DH is getting out of that disaster.

That's pretty much what I said.  Seriously, WHO does that at that level?!

DH did tell me that they've had 3-4 associates quit this week.  They get to the end of the shift and say they won't be back the next day.  It's hard to blame them.  Even with overtime, they don't get paid enough to put up with this kind of ongoing BS with no end in sight.

One guy who quit yesterday had an interview today for another job.  DH was like, "Hey good for you and good luck!  I'm getting out too!"  LOL

As crazy as I think that is, I've had it happen twice with jobs I was interviewing for!

Oh I know it happens, but it just always makes me dumbfounded when it does.  Trust me, DH has been all, "I just don't know if I can take another day of this BS," more times than I can count with this job.  His previous director was such a tyrant that DH almost prayed to be fired by him just so he could have unemployment coming in while he looked for another job.

He's interviewed for and been offered 4-5 jobs since he's worked at his current job, but those jobs weren't right for one reason or another (mostly because it would either be just as big of a headache or it wouldn't actually help him advance his career).  He had a company practically begging him to come work for them  at the beginning of the year and offered him more $.  But it was just too much of a mess for him to consider it  (devil you know vs. devil you don't)

So yeah, this has been a long time coming. And there's a part of me that doesn't blame his manager for giving up.  It's all on the director for the mishandling of the facility and obviously hiring the wrong candidate.  Not saying DH was 'the one' or anything, but the old Ops manager was entirely unimpressed with her when he interviewed her to be a supervisor.
  • Again. Mrsconn, so glad your H got out of that fire in time. It sounds like a sinking ship, on fire. ;)

DH and I just watched Get Out. I LOVE, l.o.v.e, luuv scary movies, DH not so much. But this made me hold his hand and he didn't think it was that scary.... so good for me though.

H wants to see that still, but I had to read all the spoiler alerts so I wouldn't be too scared when we see it.

I also just did the same thing for mother!

Not much today. My Fitbit died (like totally dead & outside of warranty), but surprisingly (because it was their fault) they're giving me either a replacement or 50% off any new one. H and I had a little tiff about it last night that I'm still annoyed with. He thinks I should just get the same model (which will be my 3rd Charge HR) and I want to upgrade to the Charge 2. He was a little snarky about it "if you really think it's worth it go ahead, but we have to think about how we're spending money". Which I read as "You don't think about how you're spending money" and it bugs me. He's more of a saver, but I've gotten A LOT better; and we're talking like $75 here, which doesn't break the bank for us.

    WWTKD?

Get the Charge 2, or even a Blaze.  I'm a gadget lover, but I love pretty much everything about my Blaze.  Tell him you've thought it through and decided it's a worthwhile expense for you.

How do you like the Blaze? I was looking at that one, too, but it seems big.
It is big.  That's the only part of it I don't love, but I also don't find it overwhelmingly large.  I got the pretty rose gold and pink one.  I love seeing the notifications that I choose pop up on my wrist, it holds charge way better than my Charge HR did, and I like that I can pop the actual fitbit out of the band and tuck it in my bra or a pocket for soccer (those steps didn't even happen if they weren't tracked).  My husband bought it for me as a gift, as I'm not sure I'd have been able to totally justify buying one brand new.

    Totally agree.

Can you switch the bands on the Blaze? That's what I like about the Charge 2 is that you can swap out bands.
