  To the OP, we are getting married in Kennebunkport Maine off season and the rates are about $129-$179 a night (we did off season for this reason) but in season it is $240 - $399 or something crazy.  So I think you are in good shape!  I did put a bunch of alternate hotels on our wedding website because when I booked I didn't know what the rates would turn out to be for 2010 but then turned out ok.
