I follow Captain Sandy on Insta, b/c well I do (I also follow Hannah) and her GF is not what I expected. She's pretty and very glamorous. While I think Sandy is super attractive, she seems more practical and down to earth to me. They're adorable together and seem very smitten with each other; I was just surprised.

To the bolded: I'm on the fence about Jack as well. On the one hand he's kind of funny, but on the other hand he doesn't seem to be that much help to the other deckhands.

The "Aussie" guy is Joao (Zimbabwean) and YES. Last season he was a chauvinistic douche and this season I am not buying his sudden " nice guy" routine. I think he will reveal his true asshole nature in coming episodes.

No, I was talking about the Aussie deckhand Travis, from Perth (my mum is Saffa so I definitely know the Zim accent). Although he did redeem himself confronting Mila so maybe I will give him chance. Joao was such a jerk last season, but I am willing to give him the benefit that he has changed his ways.

But Mila is the worst. Not only incompetent but a raging homophobe. I hope Captain Sandy fires her.

Ooops. Totally forgot Travis was from Australia. I haven't officially made up my mind about him yet (although he is nice to look at haha). I also gave him bonus points for confronting Mila in the van.

I read in a few places that people suspect Mila is a plant to troll the viewers/get more viewers. I really hope that isn't the case.

I've seen the same rumor. I hope that isn't the case either, but it is reality TV.

I listened to the podcast Andy's Girls when she was invited to some event for Bravo podcasters/influencers/super fans where they got to interact with the casts from different Bravo shows. She asked Capt. Lee if he gets any say in casting/crew on the boat. He says he doesn't. He's told Bravo who he wants to work with again, but also who he will leave the show over if they cast them. So it sounds like they try to keep the Captains happy because while they're filming a show, it's still a working boat that needs people who are going to be competent/safe and that includes the Captains having faith in their crew. So...I say that to say...it's possible that Bravo pulled a stunt with Mila.

I've caught up on this. Y'all, Mila cannot be for real. The FB Page has a preview for tonight where she can't cook pancakes. From a box. She doesn't even make the batter from scratch, which isn't hard, but she's probably overdo the baking powder on those too! Hannah says, "Don't bring Aunt Jemima into this!!" and I was cackling at my desk.

Also, every dinner has been steak and asparagus. And I'm not any sort of chef, but I know how to plate for presentation. On those enormous plates, you need to have a presentation or it just looks like you have barely any food. She didn't even twirl the pasta! (on a sidenote: I almost thought those were chargers rather than plates, they really are too big).

I hope the guests are getting discounts on this b/c the food is supposed to be part of the experience. That chef has been somewhat lucky so far that no guest has made a big enough issue that Captain Sandy reemed her butt.

Also, I love that Captain Sandy told Travis, "You can call me Captain Sandy."
