Evening. We just got done watching John Carter. It was pretty awesome.

Now H is sleeping and I'm watching TBBT and eating jello. I've decided I'm not really a fan of the watermelon flavor but I'm eating it anyway because I like the texture of jello. It's fun to eat.

There's no fruit in this. It's just the store package mix. We made a bunch for H and have a lot left over. I like to see how thin I can slice it with the spoon.

It was for his gum surgery, which he had last Monday. He could only have soft foods so we stocked up on jello and mashed potatoes. He still can't have too hard of foods (like chips) but he can at least eat somewhat normally again now.

I am so annoyed right now. I have been telling my mom for like two fucking months that Ben and I would be coming home the weekend before the 4th so I could celebrate my sisters 21st birthday and kinda be with the fam near the 4th for once. I only get that Wednesday the 4th off so Ben and I will go to his folks place then since its closer. Months I have told her this. She asked me tonight if I could come June 21 and told her I was coming that following weekend. She goes "oh we are going to California that weekend." whatthefuck!!?? She just randomly decides this now? Now I have no idea when I will be going home and she is making me look like the asshole in the whole situation. Woman I have made this plan forever so I'm not the douche when you change shhhit atthe last minute. Fffuuuuuckkkkkkkk

I love my mom but I feel like she has no concept of how anyone lives their life outside her perfect farm bubble. My dad is rich and she does whatever she wants. She tells me all the time that if she lived in Fargo she would be at he mall all the time, and why dont I shop more? Or why don't we go home to visit more? I dunno mom, maybe because you live three hours away, Ben works virtually every damn Saturday and gas is fucking expensive!? I can't whip cash out of my ass like you can. And I can't change my schedule on a whim because unlike you I work and my husband has to work when he has to work. Ffs. Ugh. Anyway. Sorry. I'm in a bitchtastic mood.

My mom used to be like that too, only instead of bothering me, she just spent all my stepdad's money. She tried to do the same thing to my dad, only he left her. She's never had to support herself, and would be unable to get a decent job if she tried. She and the real world have a minimal relationship.
