Invitation Wording Wizard

Hey Ladies,

So I'm getting married in June and started playing around with wedding invitation idea and the wording I want to use... it's kind of tricky. I have heard some really ridiculous stories about people making dumb typos and forgetting ppl!

This resource was really helpful in playing around with wording. It also features a fun questionnaire about your bridal style and plans!

You can check it out at

P.S. How much earlier before do you need to send out invites? A few months?

Find out when your caterer needs a final count and ask for the RSVPs to be back 1-2 weeks before that date (so you have time to call the people who don't respond) and then mail the actual invites 6-8 weeks before that date (depending on if there are amnay out of town, any postal holidays thrown in, or any International invites going out.

You should mail your invitations 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding, with a "reply by" date of 1 to 2 weeks before the caterer's final count date.  Our wedding is May 8.  Our invites will go out  the first week of March, with a reply by date of April 8.
