I know many of you are curious about this chapel so I will bust this out ahead of all the other reviews since I was the guinea pig.
Chapel: B+
Wedding Coordinators and Minister: C
Imperial Palace Floral: A (4 bouquets, 3 bouttannieres) $200
The casino is not as bad as everyone said (disgusting, dirty, nasty). It was fun! It is under construction which sucked. It took us forever to find the chapel. And finding our shuttles afterward was a pain. It was a blast walking through there in our wedding clothes.
My WC was not there at all. I met the minister and he explained how it all works. The chapel was cute. I won't say beautiful. Pretty? Maybe. I told them I wanted the blue lights and their standard set up is exactly what I wanted. I asked them to cover the picture up front which was some stupid garden scene. He said it wouldn't look right covered up and would be a black hole in my pics. I told him to put up the Vegas scene then, he said OK and NEVER did it. In the end, my pics came out great so I'm not trippin.
My Dad giving me away:
When the strange WC came in, she was nice, but a freaking idiot. I paid for my own CD to be used. I had 5 songs to be played:
-Sade "By Your Side" for guest seating and bridal party (repeat until e/o is in place)
-Case "Happily Ever After" for FI to walk out to
-Lion King "I Just Can't Wait to be King" for the kids to walk out to
-Alicia Keys- "I'm Ready" for me, and
-Ne-Yo "Let's Go" for the recessional.
Yeah, you are only supposed to have 4 songs, but I paid $125 for this CD and that should have been the end of the discussion. The WC could NOT understand how I wanted it to go. It took this chick all of the 15 minutes leading up to the ceremony until she got it through her head. At one point I almost threw the idea of having my own music out the door but my photographer and BMs told me NOT to back down to her and to TELL HER how it was gonna go. The flow went perfectly, the music sounded great and the WC told me afterward that it was a great idea. I don't know why it took her so long to get it at first.
I told the minister that I wanted to mention FI's deceased mother--again with resistance. My photog told me to stand my ground. He didn't want to mention something "sad" during the ceremony. He wouldn't mention her name. At this point, I was like "Fine. Whatever. Just mention that she would be proud." And he did, which almost brought out the water works for my husband so I understand why they don't want to mention sad stuff. But how hard is it to say her name??
It all worked out great in the end. The ceremony was short and sweet. I used my own photographer and my guests could take all the pics and videos they wanted. This was my main reason for booking IP and for that it was great. I hope the pro pics come out nice! The guests pics show the room looking brighter than I wanted it to look in pics.
If I could do it all over again, I would have had the ceremony in the same hotel as the reception. We had 45 guests and everyone fit fine with room to spare, but it was a challenge for guests to understand that there were 2 different venues and the construction threw people off. If MB would let me use my own photog the entire time and my own CD, I would have just done it there.
This is how I wanted it to look:
This is how it looked (non-pro pic):

Re: Quick Skyline Chapel at IP REVIEW--8/30/12 (PICS)
I am concerned about the garden scene. Like I said, I chose IP based on Steph's photos, which have no garden scene, no Vegas backdrop, nothing. I wonder if the greenery is something they keep up there all the time now. I'm really sorry to hear it didn't look as you intended

April 2013 Siggy Challenge: Save The Dates
Glad you took it in stride and things turned out good overall!
Married in Vegas - June 2011
I wanted the purple lighting also and when the minister showed me the purple it looked magenta so I chose blue. I got the blue uplighting for sure, maybe it was just the flash of the non-pro cameras that washed out the up-lighting.
PNUTBUTR, don't be nervous. Guests arrived on their own. I told them all to be there at 3:45 for the 4pm ceremony and even with the construction EVERYONE was there on time except one couple who I didn't want there anyway (haha). I arrived at 3:30pm and had plenty of time. I didn't feel rushed AT ALL. I think after the ceremony and formal pics, we still left early or right on time (5pm--one hour). My timeline for the entire weekend was FLAWLESS if I do say so myself. My music was not instrumental--had all lyrics. I just downloaded the entire song of Sade "By Your Side" and told them to repeat it over and over until all guests were seated and all the bridal party was in place. Then they closed the doors and started Case "Happily Ever After", opened the doors and my FINE ass husband walked out to whistles (LOL). Once he was in place, they started Lion King "I Just Can't Wait to be King" and all the little kids walked out! SO CUTE! My 2 year old stole his sister's bouquet and you can't stop cute so we went with it!. Then they closed the doors again, dimmed the lights, started Alicia Keys "I'm Ready" opened the doors and I walked down with my dad at the pace I wanted at the place in the music I wanted. It was perfect. The dude running the CD was on point.
I don't remember the WC's name, but after me and my bridal party, I'm sure she will be more open minded. LOL\
The garden photo is changeable. They can change it to the black and white Vegas scene and cover it with a white sheer curtain, I just was too busy with other thoughts to make sure that last detail was taken care of. You can totally change it. Just tell your BM to remember to regulate when the day comes.
Vista Suite was PIMP!!! NO COMPLAINTS--no security!!!! DJ, Elvis and errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrythang!!!! More to come....
Congrats!!!!

I know you're busy enjoying your hubby so thanks for responding. I'm about to book them and just wanted to make sure we're making the right decision lol! I think I may go for songs with lyrics as well, it's more meaningful to me I think :)
The non pro pic you posted still looks good, just not the same lighting. Perhaps a flash was used or was there more overhead lighting?
Did you happen to look at the chapel before the ceremony? I made a point to the WC that if at all possible, I wanted to see it when we arrive (a day or two ahead of time) so I know what to expect visually, know where it's located, etc. I worry a lot, so I want as few surprises as possible. Haha! She said that shouldn't be a problem.
I still can't believe it's so much for a CD, But that's probably what we'll end up doing too....
Do you happen to know the name of the WC?
Sounds like overall everything panned out and was lovely in the end. Which I guess at the end of the day, that's what matters most :) You and your husband look great

Check with your wc, mine said no charge for a 4 song cd....but I'm getting a package so maybe that made a difference?
I did the ala carte deal so the CD was extra. I didn't get a package.
12:30pm: Done getting ready
1pm: First Look at the Four Season's Fountain
1:30-3:30pm: Photo Strip Tour with bridal party (about 3 stops)
Limo dropped bridal party off at IP.
3:30-4pm: Rest in bridal suite, argue with the WC about my music (LOL)
4-4:15: ceremony
4:15-5pm: formals in IP chapel
5pm: Bel trans shuttles guests back to MB
Guests knew the reception started at 6:30 pm so they did whatever they wanted until then. It goes fast so don't worry about that. You need that time to get back to your suite and freshen up/relax. I was back in the suite by 5:45pm and my family and bridal party let the vendors in.
If you are doing a buffet and its in your budget, I say do Wicken Spoon and only leave an hour for guests to get from IP to Wicked Spoon. It's close. It'll work out great that way!
50 because it is an outside minister? Wow! Everything adds up. I'm thinking of bouquet alternative because flowers are expensive and they wanted to charge me to do a brooch bouquet or anything like that. I really like my coordinator, she's been nothing but helpful and responsive, but everything has a price...
Posted by EmiliaC01
Yes but to us it's worth it...wait, my wc said no charge for brooch bouquets but they charge $150 for real and silk flowers.
