Oh, God. That is hilarious.

I was texting my dad sometime last year, and we were joking around. He doesn't like foul language or obscenity of any kind. (I don't know how we could be so different.) I tried to say "I'm going to kick your butt." and I typed a U instead of an I. My phone autocorrected the message, so what actually ended up coming out was "I'm going to fuuck your butt."

He was mortified, and so was I. I tried to explain autocorrect, but he didn't really understand and was a bit weird with me for quite some time afterwards.

Karlee, I sent my dad a link to Damn You Autocorrect. Before that, he could not believe that people didn't actually mean to write stuff like that.

He heard about the whore ride, and he genuinely got mad at my phone.

FWIW, my name is Katherine, and my phone corrects it to "majestic." I'm cool with that.

Special, my phone autocorrects my name to Data and Michaels brothers have started intentionally calling me Data, so now it's autocorrecting to Database. Majestic is way cooler than database.

I believe you can turn it off on iphones. Unfortunately I have never been able to get the hang of typing on them, and so my texts would make even less sense if I did turn it off.
I didn't notice what had happened until he called me and said "PARDON?" It was horrible.

It's so funny the words it decides to correct. You have a pretty common name so I'm surprised it changes it. At Christmas my phone kept autocorrecting Merry to Nerdy but I didn't fix it because I thought it was funny.
