Evening?

Re: Evening?

  • SWEET! I've been told that there might need to be a VA Beach GTG at some point this summer - is that near you, Beachy?
  • Working in radio made me go to sooooooooo many concerts. Barry was my first, of course, but then I saw NSync twice, Britney, Aerosmith, Kiss, Van Halen, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motley Crue, John Mayer, Kid Rock...etc, etc, etc. I miss those days.
  • It's pretty far from me LDY.  It's about half an hour, I don't know if I can do that.  Haha umm who would be at this G2G?  I think it definitely needs to happen!

[QUOTE]I'm a crap cook too.  Luckily H likes to cook.

Me too. H is the cook so he makes dinner and I pack our lunches. We kind of have a deal.

I'm home, just had Qdoba for dinner, and doing laundry. We had a blast at Disney World this weekend and didn't get in until 11 pm last night. I see a nap for us in the very near future.

Whit, that is a super cute sig pic!

  • 1/2 an hour! NICE.

Not sure yet, it was brought up like, right when I said I was moving and I can't remember by who lol. But I think it needs to happen. I need the beach. And people to drink alcohol with on said beach.
  • hey ladies!

I have been to probably over 1000 concerts...Lots of fun but I have gotten lazy as I have gotten older and I no longer want to drive and deal with parking and all the crap that goes into going to shows. hahaha
  • Glad you had a good time, Tracy! Sounds like a blast. :)

    How were they live?
  • I feel like concerts are few for me now too Hockey. They have to be a band that I really like to justify the cost nowadays.

This is totally me now too. Now they have to be really good, or free, or really close by (or preferably all 3). I have a whole binder of business card sleeves filled with ticket stubs. H is 5 years younger than me but was into a lot of the same bands so he's really jealous that I was able to go to shows and he wasn't allowed. He's still in awe of the fact I saw Nirvana and have a ticket signed by all members of Radiohead. Yeah, I'm old!

My first concert was Rick Springfield at the Forum. I was only about 7 or 8 but my older sis loved him. The first concert I actually chose was New Kids on the Block.

  • Not many people seem to know The Tea Party...but they are really good.

My first concert was Metallica, Danzig and Suicidal Tendencies in 1992 or 1993.  I always perfered smaller club shows though.  I was a live concert photographer for years and it was so much fun!

    Hi everyone!

Tracy, I was wondering if I'd run into you in Orlando this weekend.  But I didn't.  :(
  • I used to have a spreadsheet on my old computer with concerts I went to, but I stopped keeping up and soon forgot.....I always feel bad when my H asked me if I saw a band and sometimes I honestly don't remember.

:( indeed!  We were at DW the whole time so we didn't see any other parts of FL really. I thought of you too though!  And of Anna, when we were close to Tallahassee and our A/C started going out. That wasn't fun.

<div>I'm like this. There are a few concerts that really stand out to me but a lot of them have blurred together. </div>
  • I had that binder stashed under my bed for the longest time but since I had to pack it up I go through it every now and then. It still amazes me that I averaged 2-3+ concerts per month sometimes. That was the good thing about living near LA, every band passes through even on short tours. I missed three shows from some of my all-time favs (James, Our Lady Peace, and the Pulp reunion) in April alone and was practically cursing H for bringing me to the South.

  • holy crap. 2-3 per month!?! Damn. That was what I averaged per year back when I had disposable income, lol.

haha tracy i used to do 2-3 concerts a week...and that was before I was doing photography.

I actually started working at our local venue because I didn't have the $$ for a concert once ....worked there for like 7 years hahaha

ETA: the 2-3 a week was before I worked at the concert venue too!
  • Evening ladies!

My first concert was either Janet Jackson or Britney Spears. And I've been to a ton of country concerts in the last few years... I have Kenny Chesney coming up in a few weeks, so I'm excited for that.

  • Yup, I loved going to shows! It makes me kind of sad that they don't print tickets the same way anymore. The letter size ticketfast tickets or the thin receipt-like ones from TM outlets are not very scrapbook worthy.

  • Angel, you totally look like the country music type. I have no idea why, but I totally see you bring a Country fan.

Also...your purse...Coach? If so, I have the same one in Blue!
  • Hello people. I don't like concerts, but I am going to wdw in a few weeks. LDY, Harris teeter is better than Kroger.
    Photobucket
  • Hockey, that is a lot of concerts. I saw most of the bands at 'underground' concerts. It was neat to see some lesser known bands before they became big. And of course I went to Warped Tour every summer. I saw Katy Perry 4 or so years ago there. She was not a peppy person on stage. In fact, she seemed downright grumpy.
  • I haven't been to a country concert yet but I want to really badly. There are like 3 huge country fests around here but I can never afford them.
