I need you guys to entertain me please. I was hoping for something exciting or dramatic when I got on this afternoon and I have to say, im a little disappointed in you guys.
Please shock me with something (not the shocker though, I could do without that, thank you).
Re: dudes...
Seriously, I got nothin'.
My boss let me know today that I will still have a job come monday.... but next week might be the last week, he doesnt know. Awesome
Mildly entertaining story from my trip to the grocery store next to my salon this morning.
I was in line to check out and there was an Amish gentleman in front of me buying 12 jars or Lemon Curd with a check. I just thought that was odd. I figured that would be something that they make themselves, and I wasn't aware that they banked.
Perhaps, though, I am just Amish ignorant.
I was really excited when reading your line about the job, until I got to the part about next week. That sucks Nebb... hoping and praying things work in your favor with your job situation.
But here's something WR to discuss, I'm going to wearing my mother's wedding dress, WDYT, corny or cute?

So sorry to hear that. I'm sure that something good will happen for you. You seem like a lovely hardworking person, so the universe will turn things around for you soon, I hope.

Depends on what it looks like, IMO. If it is horribly outdated, sure its a nice gesture but I think you will regret it in the end, you know?

Yay for a job on Monday, but boo for more uncertainty.

[QUOTE]I wonder what an amish man needs 12 jars of lemon curd for...

I was wondering the same thing.
He was nice and let me pet his horse when I came out of the store though. I wanted to be nosy and ask what it was for, but I chickened out.
I am pulling for you Nebb. I hope you will have a job after next week.
So, imagine a big, sweaty, overweight guy with a bushy beard and dandruff in purple pants and a green shirt ranting and raving at his tiny cubicle. It's quite a sight, I must say. It has kept me awake all day because whenever I'm about to fall asleep he bangs again and scares the crap out of me.
Other than that, I got nothing.
Screw off lady, gfd.
[QUOTE]The guy in the row next to me has banged his desk at least 15 times today. He's trying to get pre-approved for a car loan and he has been slamming sh!t and ranting to someone on the phone all day long. Then he got denied and about put his fist through the desk. We have a Amish furniture store that we've bought a few pieces from, and he has a business with bills, as well as the men he does business with. So some are more evolved then you might think. A lot of them own their own shops, and construction companies.
And the Mennonite dress and wear their similar to Amish and they are more modernized then Amish.
[QUOTE]I cut a man off in a parking lot who was trying to cut me off first (I had the right of way) and stole his desired parking spot at lunch. It was the president of the company that laid me off Friday. Win!

Thanks, I feel better informed now. The only experiences that I've ever had was with a settlement near my hometown, and they must have been hardcore, so I was unaware. I like learning stuff.
(sorry if I'm like an excited puppy today, I think the Starbucks Doubleshot Energy + Coffee this morning mixed with the 16 oz SF Redbull this afternoon turned into Crack in my stomach)
Maybe they'll find something for you like he said. Fingers crossed.

He annoys me to no end, so I have no sympathy to his issues. I'm cold like that. Plus he walks around the office barefoot--even the bathroom. That's just nasty.
