I don't think I could do that.

I do want to write Hallmark cards though.  The first one I'd make would be a "I'm sorry your mentally unstable family member is ruining your life" card.

Ok, guys, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kill the thread with my downer day.

Let's talk about puppies or something.
In Response to Re: Nighty Night : Thanks :)  It will be fine, I just need a few days off work.  It's been a long week!  It seems like the worst of the storms have passed, but they were not messing around. In addition to my flooded highway, I saw a flipped truck with a camper attached, a tree across the highway, and a trampoline bent almost in half and stuck on the highway median divider thing.    And a couple trees that had been hit by lightning.  I can't remember the last time we had storms like this here!
    Posted by J&K10910
<div>That's scary.  I only see close to that with snow storms and you can probably still beat me there, but then again I have been lucky.  Especially after your description, I feel a little irrationally irritated at my friend who just joked that her boyfriend should be careful when he walks outside so he doesn't get struck by lightning (you know, cause he is tall).  But I'm hope no one got hurt and that everything is okay.

Plus it was 75% off at Dillards. LOL

And, I bought myself a beautiful Vera Wang coffee cup for my desk at work tonight.

  • Puppies put me in a sour mood. Since I'll be working full time with no stay at home FI, I have to hire a dog walker. The professionals are too pricey but I'm not sure I trust a college student. I don't know why. I am a dependable college student, so clearly they exist.

I hired an elderly neighbor when I needed a middle of the day cat check for a while. She was very dependable, responsible, retired, inexpensive, AND she'd usually wash my brekfast dishes while she waited on the kitty to eat her medicated lunch away from the other cats.

Now, I end up boarding the cat at the vet if it needs something midday because I'm 45 minutes out of town in the middle of no where. :(

<div>My parents breed toy poodles and the puppies are so cute.  While I haven't been home in a while, a few months ago they had like 2-3 litters at the same time, so there was just a puppy overload.  But I love dogs and get excited whenever I see one.  But I haven't internally squeed at a puppy for a few months and yours is just adorable. </div>

  • I def don't want to hire anyone elderly to walk my two dogs. They both pull and one of them is 60 lbs of cray cray. I did find one girl on care.com who price wise seems like a steal but can't meet up before I start work/would need her so that's unfortunate.

Yeah, that would be a little much! I was thinking smaller dogs.

I've seen some Doggy Day Care coupons on Groupon for Charlotte, maybe there are some for Raleigh? I don't know if that would be an option for you, either.

What kind of dogs do you have?

  • Veggie, I think a stranger is my only option. Sounds like KJB has had good luck with hers so I'm hopeful.

Steff, I have a collie/bernese mix (see sig), and a chihuahua mix. I'll look for a groupon. I mainly need someone to check on Sash because of her separation anxiety. I've looked at some day cares but just can't afford them. And then I laughed because I was looking at day cares for a dog and was getting exited about all the features.

You tell that ice cream who's boss, Holly. haha.

Aryn- that sucks about having to use a stranger, but hopefully you find someone you trust. And thanks about my sig. That's just my peanut man ring. He came out of a cracker jack box.
