    Double effing post.
  • My Asst. Principal seriously pisses me off.  She's the worst communicator I've ever met.  She sent an e-mail yesterday at 4:30 for an 8:15am meeting today.  I coach after school and then go home.  I don't check work e-mails after 3:30ish.  I started getting pretty sick today at work.  I can't talk, starting to feel achey, etc.  She asked if I was feeling sick and replied that I've only got 1 1/2 more days to suck it up through.  Umm, maybe I shouldn't actually be here.  It wouldn't be hard for a sub to cover my kids doing Christmas booklets on the last day.  If you're on your death bed, she'll try to convince you to some in so there's no sub.  Sorry, a bit of a rant from today.  :)

Ugh I'm sorry you have to deal with that. Some people don't seem to get that it's easier to lose one person than have that person "suck it up" and get everyone sick. My old manager was like that I'd call and say I was sick and before I could say anything else would be reminded there was a meeting that day so am I still coming in?

Show up and cough and sneeze all over her stuff.

  • So tempted to do that.  But she's got 4 kids.  They sneeze on her enough I'm sure.  ;)  I did leave early today, skipping staff meeting.  She said it's an important one, about contract talks.  It's already been approved by the Board, and I'm ok with the new contract so frankly I could care less today about whatever we talk about.  Nothing we say at this meeting will change our contract as it's already been set out by the government for their entire Province.

  • I think the only thing that really stuck out to me that I heard was bad luck was to put on your wedding band. I told my friend how my FI and I sometimes sit for a couple hours at home with our bands on and she was like, "THAT'S BAD LUCK!" I was in complete shock that she said that.
I decided to just use my engagement ring as my wedding band, because I didn't want to wear two rings.  I guess my marriage is doomed because I'm technically already wearing my wedding band all the time.

I did that too! My e ring is so pretty, and it's a flat setting so there is nothing to catch on. I found nothing in our price range that I liked better.
