Sitting with my caribou

I am taking the night shift for my sister, tonight.  She hasn't slept in 24 hours, and the stress was getting to her.  I drove out to take over so I can stay up through two feedings so she can get 6 hours of sleep, tonight.  Little Caribou (my niece) is sucking on an imaginary bottle in her sleep.  My nephew is sleeping on his toddler couch.  These kids are so adorable... of course, I am the aunt, so they are always cute, to me.
My sister-in-law is on the hospital,,, they may induce her a month early if her amniotic fluid level is too low. I am developing canker sores from the stress of having to be at a thousand places at once, and plan a wedding. Hopefully, my wedding stuff will come together.  I just bought hostess gifts for my bridesmaids for throwing me a bridal shower. I just finished my thank you cards.  I still have to, somehow, hit the gym everyday, make escort cards, and finish tying bows on my votives, and finish up my escort card holders, and my final meeting with my vendors. Can I just be married all ready? Lol

  • Try to find some time to relax. Take a hot bath.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • First, I have to ask... is her name really Caribou?

I would start by doing what Addie said and time some time for yourself. After that, make a list of all the things that need to be done, then separate them into must dos. I know for me it was easy to think ribbon on a votive was of the utmost importance, but I promise it isn't and if you don't get to it, fine.

Her name is Madelynn, but I pick unique pet names for them, instead of the traditional ones because I want them to feel special (and I want them to know hat their aunt is crazy!) I knicknamed my nephew llama.

Okay! That is fabulous. I'm all for unqiue names, but I would totally side-eye Caribou.

Now some speshul snoflake on here will be all "OMG, Caribou is such a CuTe name!!"

Seriously though OP, try to take some time to yourself, sans wedding stuff.  Your mental state is important too! (This is coming from a bride 4 days away from her wedding who has done absolutely nothing today, sometimes you just need a break!)

Everybody calls my BFF Llama. No idea who started it but it suits her perfectly.
