Besides Morgan and understanding a little more about the W thing... Yup not super thrilled with this one.

I thought it was intense, and I am hoping now Alexandrians will step the frick up because they saw what their leader's solution (keep them in different houses) did: piss Pete off even worse and now her husband's dead.  He did have to die, glad he finally is.
So, is Gabriel cool now?  And what about Sasha?  That little hand holding scene in the church, IDK.
    Yay!  Tara opened her eyes.
Those dudes making the zombie traps, where are they from?  A, the girl I'm seeing, thinks they're from the beginning, but I thought maybe terminus or something, IDK.

I'm wondering if Carol went over to Pete's house and gave him that whole "you're a bitch and I'll end you" speech to purposely push him over the edge so he'd act out and show that Rick really is the good one.

I'm just glad Daryl didn't die.

And wtf, why would Glen help that dude come back after he just tried to kill him? Ugh.

Am I the only one that thought they saw a gun or something under Gabriel's shirt as he walked away with Maggie?  I thought he was going to kill Sasha or Maggie or both.

I thought it was good, but kind of underwhelming. Maybe because I mostly knew what was going to happen.

    Carol's still the best.

Is it bad that I am kind of disappointed that a main character didn't die?  I mean, I don't really want any of the main characters to die, but as intense as things were getting in the last 15 minutes, only to have Reg and Pete die was kind of a let down.

H says he thinks Morgan and Michonne are meant to be...I seriously hope that happens.  Haha.

Ugh FI and I were so pissed when Glenn followed that guy out into the woods!  That's the stupid shit that gets you killed and I'm not ready for Glenn to die.  Hopefully he didn't get bitten in the woods.

I thought it was excellent. Edge of my seat all the way through.
    And finally, Morgan!
They have till October to get ready for the war against the Wolves. That should be damned good.

I kind of hoped that somehow Maggie would die. She's been kind of boring lately. They were making it look like Glenn would die, which would absolutely push her over the edge into Uselessville, but if he fought his way back to find HER dead that would be good TV.

ETA not you darling, of course. :-*

I agree.  That would have made great!

But then again, it would have been good if Glenn did die and then Maggie went all "bat shit crazy killer bitch" instead of "curl up in the fetal position useless bitch."  I miss Maggie being strong though.  But I guess seeing your Dad's head get chopped off.  Being separated from your husband and sister for however long.  And then seeing your sisters dead body carried out of a building by a sobbing Daryl would kind of make you a bit down in the dumps.

Meh. Didn't react at all to him. We knew he was following them; I totally expected it.

As soon as they got trapped, I knew what was going to happen.  And yeah, it was a long time coming, but it was a nice payoff.  Especially since Morgan appears to be more of a badass than ever and also appears to have mellowed out some from the previous crazy.

My reaction to Morgan was more like: "Fuckin' finally!"
This.  And "wow, he is a ninja!"

I don't know if you stayed up to watch Talking Dead (I did, and it's kicking my ass today cuz I'm so tired) but Morgan was a guest star. Or the guy who plays Morgan, I should say (can't remember his name right now).

He said the character is totally different now (like with the line about how he values all lives or whatever) because "something" happened to him. Next season we may or may not get the back story on the thing that happened that caused this huge change...

I was on the edge of my seat the last 5 minutes because I had kept hearing speculation about losing a major character so I was waiting with bated breath - but I'm glad they didn't kill off any of our heroes.

I'm really curious to see what the event was that Lennie James (the actor who plays Morgan) is referring to, because as excited as I am for him to be back and badass, part of me was sort of upset that he let those guys go.  I get that they weren't zombies, so it's not exactly the same, but his compassion for not finishing off his zombie wife is what got his son killed.  One would think you'd be a little smarter about threats like that.  And then I was really disappointed when he mentioned on Talking Dead that the horn honking was to make sure there WEREN'T walkers around and wake the guys up.  I liked it far better when he was doing it attract the walkers to surround the guys, like I originally thought.

I would love to see more of Lennie James, but I'm going to predict that he'll go off on his own at the premiere of next season because he's too upset at what Rick has become watching him execute Pete.  Boo.

I might have to rewatch, but at the beginning of the Daryl/Aaron scenes, didn't Aaron say they previously brought in a small group, but then had to excommunicate them because it wasn't working out and so they drove them out to the middle of nowhere with one day's worth of food.  Could the upcoming villains be those people (or some of those people)?

I think the whole point of the speech from Aaron about those people is that they died. He thought they could make it cuz one of the guys was really smart and strong, etc, but they didn't make it. I could be wrong, but I thought that's what he was talking about.

I just rewatched that scene.  It doesn't make it clear they died.  And since my rule is don't assume someone is dead on TWD unless you actually see them die, I'm going to bet those two guys used to be in Alexandria.  I could be wrong.  But Aaron said he brought in two guys and a woman, but they didn't make it (I think he means couldn't make it as part of the group), and so he had to escort them out and Aaron, Nicholas, and Aiden took their guns, drove them out, and left them with one day's worth of food.  My money is on the woman died, the men survived by scavenging, and they are plotting revenge.

That would be cool, but I disagree. When that dude found Aaron's backpack with the pictures, he didn't seem to recognize the place. It was more like, "Excellent, a new place to raid".

Also, Why were there only like 6 townspeople at that meeting?? It seemed like only Rick's group was there.

oooh yeah, I was remembering it that he was lamenting that he felt responsible for them dying, cuz he brought them in and when they didn't work out he had to also drive them away and drop them off, so he couldn't make that mistake again because he felt so bad. But maybe he was just saying he couldn't make the mistake again of bringing in the wrong people, and felt bad that things didn't work. Who knows.

You're totally right, though, you can't count someone as dead until you see them die.

I'm with @ohannabelle ! It kept me captivated (and wondering if Glenn will actually be dead)

Am also forever relying on Abraham for one liners. First "mother dick". Now its about the "vast ocean of shit you people don't know shit about"

I couldn't watch it until tonight. I shockingly managed to avoid spoilers at a workplace full of TWD fans too.

I wasn't surprised that Morgan finally showed up. He had some unfortunate timing to see Rick again. I was worried Daryl or Glen might be killed off, so I'm glad everyone made it through. Too many of my favourites died this season.

I totally called the food trucks being full of zombies. That just screamed trap to me.

Poor what was his name at the end. I figured Pete would hurt someone stumbling around with the sword but that shocked me.

I just watched it last night too. I honestly was really impressed with the finale. There was a lot of action, I was literally sitting on my hands toward the end so I would stop waving them around. I've been bored with this season for the most part, but I don't know that I could take bunches of episodes like the finale. I'm a wuss.

I think Glenn may have been bitten. I think his character has started to run his course. I told FI he's reminding me of Opie from SOA towards the end, he's just trying to do the right thing but bad stuff keeps happening. I don't know, maybe that's a big leap lol.

This isn't related to the show really, but I could totally tell that the girl who plays Sasha is pregnant. They did a good job of covering it, but since I was looking for it I could really tell.

I might have missed it in PPs, but did everyone make sure to watch the short scene after the credits?? I totally missed it until I read about it on another forum.

Altogether, I was underwhelmed by this entire season and I never thought I would say this, but I'm disappointed none of our main group died. I guess I just expected it and then nothing. Is that weird?

It kills me to say this, but I don't think Walking Dead is good anymore. I was a huge fan up until this season, and then all of the action that took place in this season could have occurred in one 40 min episode..yet it was dragged out into an entire season.  At this point, I really only like a few of the characters.  I feel like several of them have not been properly developed as characters, so I don't really care about them.   Now that I know Walking Dead is contracted to go 12 seasons I am really afraid it's going to become one pointless season after another bc of a lack of direction (kind of like what happened with Lost IMO).  This season totally underwhelmed me.
