Re: Walking dead!!! ***Spoilers for the show up to the newest episode!!!***

  • It kills me to say this, but I don't think Walking Dead is good anymore. I was a huge fan up until this season, and then all of the action that took place in this season could have occurred in one 40 min episode..yet it was dragged out into an entire season.  At this point, I really only like a few of the characters.  I feel like several of them have not been properly developed as characters, so I don't really care about them.   Now that I know Walking Dead is contracted to go 12 seasons I am really afraid it's going to become one pointless season after another bc of a lack of direction (kind of like what happened with Lost IMO).  This season totally underwhelmed me.

The bolded: I didn't know that, but I totally agree with you. I don't think I can deal with that many more seasons of just... nothing.
    Anniversary

  • Wait seriously, 12 seasons?!? To teh Google...

  • OK no they're not contracted for 12 seasons, the writers have plans for 12 seasons. It still goes year to year on its contract so those may never come to fruition (and I don't think they will).

  • H says he thinks Morgan and Michonne are meant to be...I seriously hope that happens.  Haha.

Uh, why? They have never even met each other.
  • Because both their names start with M?
Together, these two would be like a zombie apocalypse power couple. Seriously, even with a stick, Morgan was an impressive opponent. Together, they'd be like some double bladed zombie cuisinart of the apocalypse.
I honestly never do the "oh, they should hook up" thing with TWD characters. Romance and survival just don't seem to be compatible. Too distracting. It would be the last damned thing on my mind.

Same here. The Maggie/Glenn thing worries me; I feel like it will lead to the death of one or both of them.

Didn't they seriously mess up back at the prison? They were screwing in the watchtower and missed a huge security breech? Can't remember if it was zombies or governor. But yes. Also, there would be birth control issues. Nobody needs to be pregnant at this point.

But it worked out so well for Lori and Shane...

Oh yessssss! I forgot about that!

And, Jesus god, yes. When we first found out that Lori was pregnant, I was pissed. Such a fucking bad idea.

ETA: I love chubby ass babeh Judith, but the number of times that she has almost gotten them killed and/or was in real danger herself is unreal.

I might have missed it in PPs, but did everyone make sure to watch the short scene after the credits?? I totally missed it until I read about it on another forum.

Altogether, I was underwhelmed by this entire season and I never thought I would say this, but I'm disappointed none of our main group died. I guess I just expected it and then nothing. Is that weird?
No, I missed it!  Do you have a link to the scene or can you explain what happened?

    Credits roll.
We see Michonne crossing the living room, preparing to hang the katana back on the wall. We see some internalized deep thinking, and she changes her mind, and puts that fucker back where it belongs, on her excellent zombie killing person.
    Cut to-
The man in the red poncho, who is now a zombie in a red poncho, staggering past a car with the words "Wolves Not Far" painted on the side.
    Fade to black.

Crap. It's a long time till October.
  • Thanks for that summary! I happened to still have the episode on my DVR, so that's how I was able to see it. I love Michonne!
