Hello,
I just got recently engaged, so I'm new to this forum! Before I even got engaged, I knew that I wanted to get married at the Wynn. We both live outside of Washington DC so this will be a destination wedding for us. We were aiming for a Summer 2016 wedding (Spring 2016 is too soon and we already have other commitments for Fall 2016) and after reading about how hot it can get in Vegas (even at night), we decided to opt for an indoor ceremony in one of their wedding salons. I really wanted to get married in the Primrose Courtyard, but I don't want people to be miserable in the blistering heat. Could any newly married brides be able to give me their review of the Wynn's wedding salons? Did you also add any additional upgrades to the salon?
I look forward to hearing from everybody soon! Thank you!
Re: Wynn Wedding Salon Brides
There's not a whole lot of Wynn information around, but you should look for the review by @jixxt from just a few weeks ago, it was awesome.
I'm getting married at Primrose Courtyard in October and I visited on a scouting trip last year - it's gorgeous. I have Kabbie as my planner and have heard great things about the other planners too. The Wedding Salons were just redecorated at the end of last year and they look amazing, so I imagine you wouldn't need much additional décor. Which is good because the prices for floral are just crazy! That's the only downside I've discovered so far.
I'm also having our wedding dinner at Wynn, so let me know if you need any more info
Haha, yes @xoeden , Primrose is the outside area of the Wedding Salons, it's a courtyard that's all walled in - it's gorgeous.
You can view actual weddings at the Wynn at this website which may help you in some of your own planning. :

My biggest advice though is... DO NOT GO WITH CASHMAN for photography. Please don't do it!!
Happy to help if you have any Wynn questions
UPDATE: I've had a few conversations now with the Director of Wynn Weddings and she has been great. This morning I spoke to the post production customer service guys that represent Cashman for Wynn, and they are trying so very hard to edit our pictures to the specs that we are after. We got some samples today and they look great. I am really keen to get the revised video, but I just wanted to note that they are really trying to rectify all the things that I was disappointed with - which is very respectable considering we've already paid them in full.
Here's the wording as we have in our contract:
In order for your photographer to be able to shoot on Wynn Las Vegas and Encore property, there is a service fee of $750.00. In addition to the service fee, the photographer can only shoot in public areas (your photographer may not ask to enter anywhere that is locked) of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore and your photographer is required to provide us with a copy of their valid workman’s comp insurance policy, valid $1mil liability insurance (minimum) policy, and a valid Business License.
So public areas should be fine, and also she can shoot at the restaurant for our meal. I had such a specific idea of what I wanted for photography, there was no way I was being forced to use whatever company the hotel dictated! There's always a way to negotiate these things, just keep in mind it may be harder if you've already signed a contract. We worked all this out months before paying our deposit.
As for other Strip hotels, Mandarin Oriental were the only one I found in my scouting that allowed you to use all your own vendors with no additional fee's.
We were married in the Lavender wedding salon last summer. We were concerned about the possible heat (we did a daytime wedding), and felt that the salon would be more comfortable.
I was very happy with the salon. Both of the salons are beautiful, and other than the bouquets and flowers at the front, we just had rose petals on the aisle. The Primrose Garden is also beautiful, but by choosing the indoor location- we didn't have to worry about the weather.
As for the photographers, we were told at the time that no outside photographers were permitted. I remember asking if we paid a fee if we could use someone else, and we were told no. So- it sounds like they changed their policy, which is good. I was not thrilled with my Cashman photos- some of them were fine, but many of them did not turn out the way I had hoped (our post-wedding champagne toast photos have a huge "exit" sign in them over our heads; the photographer wasn't familiar with the hotel- i.e. she didn't know about the flower covered carousel and balloon at the entrance; limited number of poses; lighting issues, etc.). I do have some photos that I liked, and we did have a photo tour that night with a separate photographer that turned out well. However, if you have the extra money and are permitted to have the outside photographer, you may want to consider it.
Overall, we are both very happy that we had our wedding at the Wynn. Rev. Walter did a great job with the ceremony.
