In regards to the latest drama....I would NOT hesitate to contact this cousin yourself or have FI do it. Be like hey, I noticed you invited me and TwoDimes to this event....however, that's our wedding night so we can't make it. I noticed you RSVP'd yes to our reception....so are you planning on attending the wedding or this event? It's no big deal, but we'd like to know so we have enough place settings and meals planned for everyone. We really hope to see you there, but we totally understand if you had already made plans for Lollapallooza! Or something along those lines. I dunno. That's just ridiculous!!!!

@southernpeach89 - My friend went through HD for his blinds. They kept delaying the appointment for about 2 weeks, and never would get back to him, then only did half of what they were hired to do. Then he had to wait another week or two for the second half. I'm wishing you much better luck than he had.

Where are you going/what are you doing on your next trip/vacation? I have no idea. Since BF claims I never ran the Costa Rica vacation by him, that's still up in the air. I have enough miles saved up for free round trip flights for both of us, but haven't gotten him to bite yet. We now know exactly how much money will be left in our savings since we sign our loan documents tonight! I have a giant cashier's check burning a hole in my purse.

@TwoDimes - Ugh.  I'm sorrry.  I like the response @labro offered up.  Hugs.  Honestly, I feel like this drama is unavoidable with some families.  I feel you though...we had people RSVP "yes" and not show up, people switch assigned tables at the reception which caused a lot of confusion for some people and a few random guests H and I didn't know (everyone was given a plus one but then some sent their RSVP in turning down the plus one only to change their minds without letting us know).  Sigh...try your best to sort it out to the extent you can but, as you get closer to the wedding, you'll probably have to just let it go for the sake of your sanity.  Somehow it does usually end up working all out.

Where are you going/what are you doing on your next trip/vacation? Next trip is the weekend of August 8 to a town in south Texas where our friends' family has a cabin and a bindery. We'll be printing our invitations while we're there! Then the weekend of August 22 we'll be in Beaumont, TX for FMIL's grad school graduation. Then Nov 1-11 we'll be in Orlando on our honeymoon!

Not too much to report here. Last night I was strangely exhausted, and FI had an upset stomach, so we just laid on the couch and finished season 2 of Orange is the New Black. We were pleased with how that season ended.  

Today has already been crazy at work. Lots of complicated issues to deal with, and I had a very full inbox waiting for me this morning. My coworkers are taking me out to lunch today as a belated birthday celebration though, so I'm looking forward to it. I think we're going to go to my favorite Asian restaurant nearby. Their sesame chicken and grilled veggies are DELICIOUS.

Tonight I need to work out, make dinner, and clean the apartment. It's a wreck. We'll also probably start on season 3 of Orange is the New Black. 

OK, back to work for me! Gotta love the start of the new fiscal year...

@TwoDimes I literally can't even with your FI's family. I'd lose my mind. I would do exactly what @labro said. We had a few people that RSVPd yes, we thought they wouldn't come but I put them in the headcount anyways and guess what? They didn't show up, no explanation, nothing. So rude. I knew they were flaky and that's why I figured they wouldn't show but none of them were blatantly talking about their other plans they they had on the same day as my wedding!

@Swazzle Antibiotics are the worst Probiotics really help balance out all the damage antibiotics can do. I was on antibiotics the majority of last year, and I never had any hoo-ha issues because I ate yogurt every day. Probiotics were a life saver!

Afternoon all! I woke up late and ran off to the gym, spent 30 minutes there before I saw the kids BF coaches for HS fencing, and so I ran out because I got all nervous and stuff. Then I did homework and I am about to leave for work so sorry for the P&R!!

None, I am hella allergic to metals. I can wear stuff for short periods of time, but I need like pure gold or titanium to avoid my skin getting puffy and hivey.

I would put it towards a new TV. Mine is one of those old, gigantic, heavy things and during scenes that take place at night I can't see ANYTHING. I just got a new credit card with 0 interest for a year and a half so that might be my first purchase lol.

Where are you going/what are you doing on your next trip/vacation?

I wanna go to Boston with BF for our anniversary in September, but right now our next official trip is seeing my parents for Thanksgiving in Minneapolis.

BF has been incredibly frustrating when it comes to the topic of moving in together. I know it won't happen until either I make enough money to sustain us for a while or until he graduates nursing school, but I suggested the other day that we should start saving for it so we don't wind up spending our first month living together eating ramen noodles and sitting on the floor due to a lack of furniture. He kind brushed me off, like "eh, no." I know he does it because he thinks its funny when I get annoyed with him, but it is starting to get REALLY annoying. Our 6th anniversary is coming up and we are moving at a snail's pace (entirely because of school,  but still).
That is my gripe for the day.

@eilis1228 - I've been on my fair share of antibiotics (chronic sinus infections and tonsillitis until surgeries for both) and I haven't had any problems in years but I think this is a higher dosage than my body is used to. I eat a yogurt every day as it is so I've continued with that and I started taking a probiotic every morning since the day after I started the antibiotic. Nothing is really helping so I'm guessing I just have to ride it out.

@lavenderfields13 I like Ann Taylor more than Loft.  Ann Taylor has more professional looks, while Loft is more of a casual look.  Also, I usually go to the outlets when they have sales.

@twodimes OMG!!! I don't even know how to respond to all of that.  I think your FI needs to have a chat with his parents to knock it off.  As for the cousin... I guess count them as not attending and fingers crossed they don't actually show up. Sending big hugs your way.

@TwoDimes holy moly that's crazy...all of it. I would definitely confirm with the cousin, because meals are not cheap and it would be nice to know if they don't plan to come after all for final numbers and tables as you said!

Sorry I have been a little MIA. Work has still been crazy. My manager is still putting crazy deadlines on all of us. It dawned on me yesterday that it's probably so that we have everything ready and can do it efficiently if our team is downsized (i.e. I might be working overtime now to make someone else's job easier in a few months if I get laid off). So I have very little motivation to do these things on this crazy timeline as a result, but I also don't want to unnecessarily burn bridges and have no hope of references. Blah. 

No interview opportunities for FI from Google yet. I don't remember whether or not I told you guys, but an HR rep did email him last week saying his resume was being passed around to the different teams. So no news is good news for now. It means they haven't ruled him out yet. Fingers crossed! 

Oh, WE GOT OUR DRYER! I don't have a picture, but I will show you guys soon. FI stayed home from work on Monday to have it delivered, and he washed everything, including all of our bedding (that I am embarrassed to admit went way too long without being washed). I don't think I have ever been so excited in my life to do laundry.

Where are you going/what are you doing on your next trip/vacation? Right now the next trip is to Albany, NY in September. We have a wedding to go to, and plan to take a few days to take care of our own wedding related things. I plan to do makeup and hair trials (those artists book up fast and I want them earlier rather than later), meet with the florist, and maybe meet with the venue coordinator to make a few reception decisions. I also hope to get to meet @GoldenPenguin! 

Of course, if FI gets a job offer in the Bay Area, then we will need to take an apartment hunting trip up there, and that could potentially happen before September, so that could also be our next trip.
