Good morning.

Today was going ok even though I didn't wake up a multimillionaire and then I heard the news that Alan Rickman died and now my heart hurts and I am so sad. 





H and I went out for sushi last night which was absolutely delicious as always. My StitchFix arrived which I need to post about on the SF thread. I finished my 3rd book of the year (The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty - 3 stars) this morning and am ready for the next. I'm making HC Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos for dinner and then the Devils are away so H and I will watch that. 

That's all I got today.

I have never seen Harry Potter so I don't have the same love for him, but when I saw his face I immediately thought of him from Dogma. Sad!

@swazzle Are you keeping any of the clothes? And seriously why does IE still change your name to swizzle every time?! lol

I am feeling like shit today. Debating telling my boss the news so I can have an excuse to take my computer and go home....yup think that might happen.

Tonight I'm going to attempt a new recipe. It's chicken taquitos but I'm going to try and roll them and cook them in the Panini press instead of frying so it's healthier. I know they won't have that same crisp but it's worth a shot because if it comes out bad then it's really just a chicken taco, which isn't bad haha

I am so sad about Alan Rickman! 



I was a little bummed that I too didn't wake up a billionaire.. however I did weigh in and I am down 2.4 pounds! I was so happy! It was the weirdest thing this morning because as insane as it sounds, I woke up feeling like I had lost some. 

Last night I did more Zumba, watched episode 8 of MaM and made salad for dinner and also one for lunch today. We then watched Idol and passed out pretty early. We are such old folks!

Tonight looks like much of the same. I found a really good channel on YouTube that had Zumba right in a row so I will do that one again tonight.

Good morning!

I started today with an epic morning barf session before 6 AM.  I think it's going to be one of those days.

I have a really long day today.  I work until 3:30, then I have to go to my parents' and pick up their dog who is staying with us until Monday.  I have to teach piano from 5-6:30 and then tutoring for another hour or so.  Then, I'd like to fall into bed but I don't think the pups will let me!!

I cried in the car. I'm in shock right now. Rarely do the deaths of celebrities hit me like that of Bowie and Rickman. And both in the same week. I just can't.

In unrelated news, some ass told me (yesterday) that the Pope is a heretic and Catholics are not Christian. Ok. Thanks? This was all in regards to his argument that women BFing in public are the cause of men's lust, and that as women it is our job to ensure that a man not fall into lust. Oh...and that our yoga pants do it to. I feel like I have this new found power! I'm in control of the salvation of men's souls!!! /sarcasm (he also started his argument by stating he doesn't believe in evolution  )

@Swazzle Yum sushi sounds perfect! I haven't had sushi in a while. I need to just go all out and eat a ton of it to make up for lost time lol.

I'm so so sad to hear about Alan Rickman. I feel like we have had a sad beginning to the new year with David Bowie and now Alan Rickman.

I didn't end up doing Insanity yesterday because I found like 1000 other things to do instead haha.

Today I need to drop off our vacuum cleaner at the repair shop because it just stopped sucking up everything. I think it might be clogged. It's a nice vacuum so I'm definitely not buying a new one. Then we have the internet guy coming over to install stuff. Our internet sucks so hopefully this helps? IDK.

So Callie responded well to her adjusted routine. I fed her dinner 30 minutes earlier than normal and she ate her whole bottle! It was glorious. I also moved bath time and bedtime feeding 30 minutes earlier and it worked out really well for the first time. She slept through the night but when DH fed her this morning she didn't want to eat everything so that we still need to figure out why....

Tonight I'm going to CrossFit and having leftovers.

Oh no!  @swazzle - I hadn't heard the news that Alan Rickman died.  That makes me so SAD.  

@caseface5 - CONGRATS!  That is an amazing loss! 

@jenna8984 - I'm sorry you are feeling crappy.  Nausea or something else? How far along are you now?  I don't know if you have a ticker but I can't see anyones tickers on this site (or signature pictures).

@cocobellaf - You deserve a break from the barf fairy.  I'm sorry.    I hope it doesn't continue all day.

@beanbot2002 - Ugh.  Stupid, just stupid.  I'm clearly so tempting to men with my pulled back hair, circles under my eyes, etc.  I should just cover up, right?  Oh no!  I'm wearing red today...that must be a further temptation.  Sigh.

I'm in deal hell this morning...we have a large deal closing and another one that is ramping up big time.  Today is going to be a long day.  Oh and our plumber backed out of doing our bathroom...no calls, no explanations, he is just now refusing to come.  We even offered him more money...nope.  Now we have to find a new plumber and they all seem to be scheduling 1+ month out and the bathroom is all ripped out already.  So, yeah, I'm pissed and our bathroom won't be done ANY time soon.  Plumber has to do his part before we can lay tile, install anything, etc.  Home renovation makes me so angry.

On the bright side, Raj's insurance approved his initial claim (his initial claim though was just the amount of our deductable).  Now that that has been submitted I'm going to submit the surgery claim (which came after the initial vet visits) and we will see.  Fingers crossed.

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so glad I got sick now, so I can get it out of the way and be happy and healthy and ready to drink and eat all the things!!!!! I love and miss you so much!

@beanbot2002 - Was this a random stranger or a coworker or something? I hate when people blame women for causing men's lustfulness. I've seen a meme going around that says something like "if lesbians can control themselves around women in revealing clothes, then the clothes aren't the problem". I love it.

Today is my Friday! I'm working til 1 and then I am getting my rings cleaned, eyebrows threaded, and meeting FI for a mani/pedi for him (it's his birthday present) while I get eyelash extensions.

Today is FI's birthday so we are having about 30 people over tonight for pizza and cake to celebrate. Then my sister sleeps over (there will be 4 people in our 1 bed apartment) and we start on wedding prep first this tomorrow morning!

The forecast has improved greatly....the rain is supposed to stop around 1pm. WOO!!!!

I'm so sad about Alan Rickman :-( There is nothing exciting going on here.  It is my work from home day though which is nice.  Otherwise there is nothing too exciting going on here.

@minskat30 so glad they're covering the deductible, hopefully they will cover the rest too.  Do you guys not want to attempt the plumbing yourselves?  I think it took my boyfriend two weeks to redo all the plumbing for the bathroom.  He watched a lot of Youtube tutorials to learn how to correctly do it, and then just had a plumber come check when he was done.

@cocobellaf Hope you feel better the rest of the day.

Last night I made the Hello Fresh Chicken Milanese.  It was good, the salad was weird though.  They had me make a dressing with sour cream, which both my bf and I hated.  I powered through and just ate my salad, he doused his with ranch dressing.  I think I'm going to cancel.  I haven't been impressed.

I woke up to more snow this morning.  At least this time it was snow and not ice.  It took me an hour to get home from my sister's Tuesday night, because of the ice.  Tonight will be cheesesteaks for dinner.  We may go ice skating if the rink isn't packed.  It seems that everyone has noticed it is open and it is always packed now.  If it is, then I'm just going to do yoga.

@cocobellaf - If I had to wager a guess, I would say the plumber got a better offer on another project and took it but I'll never know I guess. Sigh

@caseface5 - No contract, no contract really for most of this construction stuff because it is with people taking side-jobs who my BIL knows.  My BIL feels terrible about the plumber bailing and is trying to find a replacement but plumbers are not thick on the ground apparently.  

@speakeasy14 - H and I are not handy at all really.  I think my BIL knows someone who *maybe* could do it with some tutorials but we are moving the toilet stack in addition to other plumbing changes and that makes me nervous.  Not a bad idea though to have the guy we think can pull it off try to pull it off and then hire someone to take a look.

I'm really sad. I'm not one to get overly emotional about celebrities, but Alan Rickman is rivaling Robin Williams on the sad factor for me.

According to FedEx, my Home Chef box SHOULD be on my doorstep when I get home. Since it didn't arrive last night, H & I went for sushi, and it was delicious. 

I'm ready for the weekend. Tomorrow night I have to go to a high school basketball game for work, and Saturday H & I are going to do some running around. I'm taking my engagement ring to a jeweler nearby to see what can be done - my wedding band sits right under the e-ring, which I thought was going to be awesome, but because moissanite (my band) is harder than the morganite in my e-ring, the bottom of the stone is getting scratched really bad. So, I'm going to see about either getting a basket setting for the e-ring, or just getting a plain rose gold band to use as a spacer, and stack the rings, which I do like the look of. 

H also mentioned possibly starting to car shop. He has an older Civic that is totally paid off, but we've discussed getting a bigger vehicle with AWD. Bigger for the dogs (Bruschi is a hog and takes up the entire back seat of the Civic, and poor Violet gets shoved into the corner), and AWD for living in the tundra.

RIP Alan... what a great actor he was. My first thought of him is always as the cheating cheater mcCheaterson in Love Actually.

A $1,000,000 winner was sold at the Wawa about a mile from my office. Unfortunately, DH did not buy our tickets there...

I'll AW my weekend in a separate thread so as not to threadjack this one.

@southernpeach89 - My positive is that I have been basically eating and drinking my face off since Dec 23 and I have only gained 2.5 pounds. I'm taking that as a HUGE win!

@minskat30 That SUCKS about the plumber! I wonder if it's a family emergency or if he just backed the eff out for no good reason. Booo. 

I am so sad about Alan Rickman. He was such a great actor. I loved the way he spoke in all his roles. F--- cancer. 

I might be able to wrap up my audit today, and if I do I get to decide whether to drive back home tonight or tomorrow when I wake up. It would be nice to be home tonight, but it would be nice to sleep in a little bit tomorrow before hitting the road and getting back to the office, plus an extra partial day of per diem for food. I don't even know if the hotel will let me check out at the end of the day anyway, and the road I have to drive sucks after dark (it would be a 2 hour drive) so it's looking like I'll hotel room chill for one more night.

@cu97tiger I'm impressed!! I've hit a slump in my post baby weight loss. I think since I've started working out now my muscle mass is starting to build back up so that could be why but then there is also wine....lol

@southernpeach89 - Does it make me a terrible person to not care about loosing baby weight when I can get my wine back?  Kidding (a little).  I did sort of already tell H he better bring me a glass of Chardonnay or bubble when I am hopefully able to push this little girl out.

@GoldenPenguin I have an 03 CRV.  It's a champ in the snow, and lots of room for puppies.  My mom has the Rav4 and I like her car a lot more, so that may be my next car.  She works at a ski resort and has never had an issue getting to work.

@minskat30 Post partum weight loss was the last thing on my mind after Callie was born lol. I lost a ton at the beginning because I didn't have much of an appetite. A few months in now I feel like I need to be a little more conscious of it since the lbs aren't flying off like they were lol and my love for wine has come back into play. Also, having champagne/wine in the post partum room after birth is totally fine! You need to celebrate!

I actually thinking I'm just starting to see some good results. I feel strong and am starting to see more changes in my body shape. A couple more solid months of CF and running and I'll look GREAT! As long as my IVF cycle doesn't mess with it too much

Make sure you're getting enough protein to support that increasing muscle mass!

I need to be a total AW right now because I can't with anyone else:

My boss just let me know about merit increases.  He started the conversation telling me that since the company had a down year, the company average for merit increases was 3%.  So I was thinking I was either not getting a raise or it was going to be less than 1%.  Nope, I got a 4% raise!!! I freaking love my job.
