@swazzle - I seriously feel like spin is easier than tying my shoes right now...belly at least isn't in the way for spin.

@cocobellaf - I wanted to put the scale away but the doctor said "keep weighing yourself so long as it doesn't cause you to freak out".  I'm not sure what she qualifies as "freaking out"...I mean, is that a medical term?  

At least it mostly seems to be headed toward my stomach and boobs (but mostly the stomach).  29 weeks and I literally huffed and puffed getting into the car this morning.  While I was doing so, H reminded me that it is going to get worse before it gets better...thanks H!

Same here @minskat30.  I was getting a little obsessive over it.  Thankfully, she's moved up and I look more proportional (instead of just a giant beer belly) so I feel a tad better about it... and then yesterday, the janitor at work said, "Looks like you're getting bigger!" to which I replied, "I feel like it too!"  Oh well.


I know I'm not overeating, I'm eating almost the same amount of food as I did pre-pregnancy.  Definitely more carbs and less protein, but for the most part I'm trying to eat as healthy as I can.  So, that's the best I can do.

In honor of National Puppy Day here's Callie as a puppy:


Last night we had my mom, step-dad, both sisters, and BIL over for dinner.  We were supposed to have game night but no one wanted to play anything so we watched impractical jokers.

Tonight my bf and I are going out for dinner at a restaurant near my job.  My youngest sister's bf got a new car and said I can use his old car until I can replace mine, so we'll be picking that up after.

Same here @cocobellaf - This week was a little indulgent since I had 2/3 of a medium pizza spread out over dinner for two nights and popcorn over the weekend but that is really the extent of my indulgences if I allow them.  I know there is no way in hell I'm eating enough to be gaining 2-4 lb a week, which seems to be the norm of late, so Ani must just be growing or I'm retaining water.  I think when I put a number and science to it (1 lb = 3,500 extra calories) it makes me feel better because the math just doesn't add up to make "logical" sense.  Babies aren't logical apparently....lol.

@TwoDimes - I know, I just about slapped him.  He is so good at knowing what to say sometimes too (last night we were discussing labor and what I wanted and he was so patient, willing to do whatever and really wanted to discuss it so he knew how to be the best partner he could be in the room, etc.) which is why it is so puzzling to me when he says things like "oh, it is going to get worse".

Sorry I didn't come back yesterday. When I'm at a different office it's hard to get a chance to come on because my screen isn't private like it is at my normal office.

Matt ended up leaving early, so he picked me up. Which is unusual for that office because it's out of the way. He felt bad he forgot to put the chicken in the fridge before he left also, so we ended up getting Subway. They have vanilla pepsi now! Anyways, I saved half my sammich for lunch today.

Tonight we've got to pick up the big roasting pan and a chair from my mum's for dinner on Friday, and I need to throw laundry in. Plus we need to start tidying up for people coming over.


Which question, does anyone have a dream website they use when trying to figure out dreams? I had a weird one and trying to figure out if it's "just a dream" or "hidden meaning dream"

That is from just a week or two after we first picked up Cinders! She was so sweet and tiny and she looks SO SLEEPY! I can't believe she's nearly 3 years old now. Still isn't slowing down though but thankfully she doesn't tinkle on the floor anymore so I guess there's some benefit to being out of puppyhood.

You guys I am SO HAPPY with our new carpet! The house looks SO DIFFERENT! It looks like normal people live there now and not two little old ladies who haven't made updates in decades.

I really wish these photos showed the old carpet better because it looks a lot better here than it did in person. It was SUPER colorful and the condition in other rooms was not so great...there were stains that had soaked into the pad, little fibers that had pulled up, wrinkles, etc. Replacing the carpet was definitely overdue and it looks so much better now!

I have a ton of work to do today so I won't be here too much, but I figured I'd check in BEFORE I need to focus on the pile of work!

Last night I went to BF's parents house for dinner, his brother and his FI were there too and we all watched a documentary about these guys that climbed a mountain in the Himalayas. Crazy stuff! I was uncertain about sticking around to watch a documentary since I had stuff to deal with at home, but it was so interesting that I couldn't leave. 

BF's mom invited us to a Purim event at the synagogue tonight, so I am going to that. I hear it is super fun, I've never been (or really heard about it before meeting BF). Costumes are involved, but since I didn't know about it well enough in advance I don't have anything appropriate to wear. His mom has a Downton Abbey costume she made, BF is going to wear a sports jersey, and I'll just be there chillin in a star wars t-shirt or something. 

Work could be nuts the next few days. Wish me luck!

One last photo! This is what the hallway was originally! Basically our entire house was painted in either this green color or bright yellow. Barf.

ETA: Or it was covered in wallpaper. I've literally painted almost our entire house this point and by the time we get ready to list I'll have painted everything with the exception of a single room.

My MOH and her FI have set a wedding date! I'm so excited! They're getting married at a gorgeous venue next April. She and I talked wedding all last night, and now we're texting back and forth about centerpieces. I'm so happy for her, and I can't wait to help her plan the wedding. I also get to see her twice this weekend for family stuff, which is really exciting because we haven't hung out in a month.

Ugh, I woke up this morning with a fever. I feel fine, so I don't know what my deal is. Good thing today is my work from home day. I'm a little out of it from the fever because I keep forgetting what I'm doing and zoning out mid-task. Hopefully whatever this is sorts itself out ASAP.

I felt brain dead yesterday after that two-hour meeting, and H ended up working late, so we did not work out. Instead we vegged around the house and ate a late dinner. Lately we have not been capable of getting dinner on the table before 9pm. We need to get better at this whole adulting thing.

We have some Amazon orders arriving today, and I just logged in to see which ones were coming today and which were coming tomorrow. Apparently we have placed 45 orders in the last 6 months. I think we have an addiction to Prime. lol

At least tomorrow is my Friday.

Just found out that H's work will allow him unpaid FMLA without using up his vacation time first. This is amazing because his vacation renews every June so we didn't want to use up all his time August 1st. Now he can take like 2-3 weeks unpaid with me and save his vacation time.
