I just saw this notification come through on my phone! Definitely - hopefully it's a sign that Republicans are starting to see how unqualified/unethical these nominations are.
Hopefully also the White House rescinds his nomination, but unfortunately it's highly doubtful. The Orange One will just have a temper tantrum that "Washington doesn't like outsiders" and "everyone is against him" and "everyone is wrong" etc.

I also look at it as a move to pacify constituents, since it seems that all reps and especially GOP congresspeople are getting battered by phone calls. So this might be a "LOOK! We're trying!" move, but if they don't take him out and they confirm him, they can still be all, "Welp, we tried. Sorry(not sorry)."

After catching up on the news today I am starting to believe Robert Reich's prediction that the GOP supported him with plans to pass as much legislation as quickly as possible only to impeach him later is accurate. They get to look like heroes for putting out the fire even though they were the ones who took the batteries out of the fire alarm and blew on the sparks before the fire took off.
Welcome! We greet you with high alcohol beer and poutine. Remember to add "u"s to words like "honour", "neighbour", and "arbour", also we like to complain about our two seasons: frigid Winter, and construction Summer.

I'll be Canadian, too. I think I'd fit in; I love Tim Hortons, played hockey as a kid, and understand parliamentary systems.

also FTFY ... no one uses full name
Ah, the big difference between Buffalo and Canada!
I don't wanna be banished to Russia, dangit. I want to be Canadian too!
Wait - I thought you lived in TN? Only Alaska is going to Russia (because they can see it from their house) - TN is coming to Europe with the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic!

Oh! You're right @sparklepants41! I just saw that Alaska and the other red parts and stopped reading. Lol. In that case, I'm totally cool with Europe. We can be neighbors! Ha!

Yes! And we can enjoy long vacations and have coffee and cake at 4pm every day!

As an Alaskan, I hate this plan. Canada is my choice please! Also, would Canada really want to give Russia a toehold on the same continent? Better to have a water border to defend than a land border. I bet that Russian professor is just trying to get the land back that the US got for a bargain basement price of 2 cents an acre.
Trump's speech (which is supposed to be about his new secretary of labor pick) is making me twitchy. The first five minutes have been all about how the media is mean to him. I shouldn't watch news while I'm at the gym. My bp is already high enough.
I'm practically a Canadian already! I live in Hockeytown, spent my first two years of legal weekend binge drinking in Windsor, we have the same two seasons, and call it Timmy Ho's.
@levioosa, watching yesterdays press conference I discovered the one thing I like about him being President; we get to hear *him* speak less!

You are speaking my language
I may be wrong, but I don't see South Carolina going with the NE/mid-Atlantic. They feel more like Texas to me.
Then again, they have that huge BMW plant. Maybe Germany will just annex them.
