Anyone have a beach ceremony in MB/NMB and not have a formal reception after? We are not renting a house, we are staying in timeshares, so having a reception type bbq is out.
We are not having a formal reeption, but will most likely go out to eat after and maybe a small type reception, like dinner with wedding cake.
I've seen some talk about a dinner cruise or renting out a room in a resturant. There will be between 25-35 people (all immediate family).
Any suggestions and what did you cost you?

It is bad etiquette, and rude, to not have a little something after the ceremony. Your guests travelled to your wedding and brought you gifts so at least have a little something.
I would suggest a restaurant; however when looking keep in mind that you are getting married 7/6 which means that Myrtle Beach will be packed! Try to find out if the restaurants have a special room or section where they can accommodate all of your guests.
The dinner tours might be good. I found several links:

In my case, I don't find it rude to not have a reception after. We choose to have our ceremony while on a joint family vacation, so we know our immediate family will be there to witness our wedding day. We would generally go out to eat anyway, being on vacation. But thanks for the links to the cruises, I think something like that would be a perfect end to the night, I'm gonna look into them!
