STD's Done! and a question...

We were not going to do save the dates,  but his mom wanted us too, so a friend of a friend designed them for us. I am matting them on black paper and sealing the envelope with a wax seal "C".

So the question... Do you address to the person and guest or just the person for the save the date? For example:

Michael K. & Guest
123 Reality Road
Wedding Bells, CT 00000
Wedding Countdown Ticker

STDs don't need the 'and guest.' They're more casual than invites AND it gives you the sometimes much needed wiggle room if things change and you can't extend singles a plus one. This way you haven't already promised them one etc.

ETA: Cute though!! Love the wax! Have I asked you where in CT you're getting married?

Yep, what Irish said. No "and guest." I looove the wax seal! My FI and I were talking about doing that because we are huge dorks and love old mystical renaissance-ish shows and movies (if you have Netflix, think "Camelot" or "Merlin"). We saw a wax seal and one of those shows and were all "omg we need to do that on our invites!"

Agree no "and guest" that is for the more formal invite.  I am with everyone else, I love the wax.

For my friends in serious relationships, I'm adding their significant other's name.  And for families whom I am inviting their children, I'm writing out their names so they can plan ahead (though technically "The Smith Family" is acceptable for save the dates, I'd rather be more specific).  But if I don't know who they'd bring and just want to let them know they can bring a guest, I'm just telling them - the save the date will only be addressed to them.

Gorgeous STDs by the way!  Do you happen to have the file and would you be willing to send it to me?  I love the swirlies, and it's totally the feel I'm going for.  If your friend would want to sell it (is it Adobe Illustrator?) then I'd be happy to pay her for her work.
