Sunday night chitchat.

Who is on this Sunday night? I'm doing laundry and studying how to teach my 5th grade math (we are doing division and area). Other than tht,Fi is shopping for me right now. We missed church, which makes me a bit sad, but I also have a cold, so I think, it's best I didn't spread my germs

I'm here.. I should be studying for my Math final tomorrow, but... I mean.. how does one study for math anyway?  I pretty much just re-took all my tests from the semester, and studied what I got wrong.  I did lots of baking today and I think I've finally perfected my Chocolate Chip cookie recipe (It is top secret I've decided!!)  I got all my holiday cookie tins done and everything is all packed up to go out tomorrow!!  As of noon tomorrow I'm done with school for a little less than a month!!

Tonight, I'll just be coloring my hair, studying a bit more and hopefully going to bed early!!

I'm actually bored for once. I'm just surfing the web at the moment while FI and I watch TV, waiting for Dexter and Homeland to come on.

I handed in my last huge project for school on Friday!  Graduation was today, and while it would have been a great excuse to fly to Florida, I decided not to.  So I guess I have officially graduated.

We had FI's family "cookie swap/baking day"  It's an all day event, but I come away with soooo many cookies.

I made Grinch Cookies that I found on Pinterest:

they are very minty and delicious!

    And also, candy cane blossoms:

It's actually starting to feel like Christmas to me.  Now I just need to start doing some shopping for presents.

What are you coloring your hair to SamiJoe?

I'm here off and on. I'm so tired of studying. I spent 2 1/2 hours working on a studyguide. I got 4 chapters done and 2 to go. Now I'm trying to study for econ but it's not going so well. Part of me wants to say screw it and just wing it tomorrow but I really don't want to fail the class for a second time ugh! If I do I'm gonna take it at the community college during the summer. I really don't wanna so let's hope I pass tomorrow!

I'm having a fantastic day! I did most of my Christmas shopping, minus 2.5 people. I feel very festive and it was even snowing (sleeting) just a bit as I was walking from shop to shop!

Yesterday I went to my "final" for my MIS capstone... It was a party with homemade food and wine put in by our professor...His wonderful wife sent us all home with tons of left overs so I am eating red beans and rice (not as good as my mom's...but my mom grew up in New Orleans)

I might run to wal-mart to pick up some  tape so I can wrap my presents and put them under my baby Christmas tree.  (haha)

I'm here too. I'm actually at work, but it's a dead night for the bar scene tonight bcause of the Packer game. Not very exciting. If someone doesn't come in soon I might fall asleep after the game. So tired! Came in early, and worked 'til 2am last night.

DaniDawn, I hope he gets you something good :D Can't believe how close Christmas is getting. I better finish up my own shopping tomorrow.

SamiJoe, I'm awed by how much you accomplished today! All I did was a little laundry and be bored at work. Been here since 1:00 this afternoon, and had 5 people come in. If I wipe down the bar one more time, I'll probably take the finish off.

Amanda we're pretty much finished too! We got a bunch done yesterday and all wrapped. My mom has almost all of the place settings of Fiesta dishes (there's a few colors she doesn't have but she doesn't like the darker/more earthy ones) so as a gift from her five kids we got her the lemongrass color
We need to get my dad's gift. We're probably getting him Big Bang Theory
FI and I got my parents a new knife block set. And today I found the Pacific on sale at Target for $40 and I remembered FI said he liked it so hopefully he doesn't have it haha

I'm not packing, when I should be packing.  Well it's all pretty much done, I just have to put all of the boxes into my car.  I folded down my back seat, but that's as far as I've gotten.  I'm moving in the AM :) .  I'm actually pretty excited!!!

SPIFFY - those mint chocolate chip cookies are amazing!  I found the recipe sometime last year and FI loves them, they're his favorite!  They even won me a gas card once lol!

I went home for Thanksgiving and I broke her turkey platter last year washing it. The soap made it really slippery. I felt so bad. It was funny when I went home she got her new fiesta platter out and showed me first haha

I really wanted to register for them (especially because it's made in the US...which a majority of our registry items are), but FI and I couldn't agree on a color, and I've always wanted square plates, which they don't make.

I'm moving up to Fairbanks!  With the spa closing and my brother getting stationed elsewhere in a month I thought it was a good sign to move closer to FI :) . I got 2 jobs ha!  I'm actually really excited!
I'm not looking forward to the drive. I HATE the drive.  It's like 350 miles with snow, ice,  wind and mountains :/

Zim- I try to stay as close to my natural color as possible, I have to color my hair because I have grey hair.. at 23.  So Sad.  All the women in my family have grey'd early so I was actually lucky in that I didn't really have to start until I was 19.. or 20.  It's really embarrassing..

Congrats on Graduating girls!!  I can't wait till that's me.. in 2 1/2 years.  The only up-side to my degree program is that I'm going to immediately enroll in the masters program so in 4 years total I'll finish my masters as well! Yay for that!! and that I'm minoring in English and History so that I can teach K-9th...  I'm so glad that I took college classes in HS so that it won't take me quite as long. I already feel like I don't fit in because most of my classmates are babies (right out of HS) or geriatric.

Dani-what grade do you plan on teaching? or want to teach? have you heard back from your job application yet?  My friend teaches middle grades, and is only in her 2nd year of teaching and on her 3rd school.  She's moved a bunch to be with her FI..

I haven't heard back form the Job app yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I know someone on the commitee and they said that they haven't thrown me out yet..  I want to teach either ESL or 1st grade. Right now I'm student teaching in an ESL room, for 1st and 5th graders.

Sami- The next four years will fly by.  I know it doesn't feel like it now but it's tough to believe I first graduated college four years ago! (Associate's degree when I was 20).  And I feel like I just started my bachelor's degree this year, but it took me two years.  That is awesome that you can go right into your Master's.  It was tough for me to get back into the swing of things after not being in school for two years, if I could do it over again I would have started after graduating the first time!  Or just gone for my Bachelors to begin with.  But I think I saved money in the long run.

Hi Ladies, I'm kind of here.

Congrats on graduating Amanda and Spiffy.

We didn't get much accomplished today, just went and looked at tux's again and got part of my dad's christmas gift. I must admit - I don't feel very festive. It doesn't help that its 70 our, and just doesn't look like winter/christmas let alone fall. I'm just sort of out of it. We just got back from church a little bit ago and I realized I forgot my practive envelopes so I need to run out and get those to do my test run so I can print off all of the OOT's invites.

I'm honestly just drained, emotionally and physically. I'm trying to find a hair piece i like on etsy and trying to decide if I want a birdcage veil or if I should wait and try on one at the store to see if I like it. I'm kind of wanting one now.. but I don't know how it'll look.
