Confession:

I've been on a massive writing spree lately, wrapping up a novella that had been sitting dormant for a year, and I have been so wrapped up in my characters that I almost called SO by my male lead's name last weekend. Also, when I'm on such a spree, I really don't make time to talk to him. It's bad...

Confession:

Living in the boondocks, in a very white small town, got under my skin so badly that I'm still not used to seeing black people on a daily basis.

Confession:

I don't have any sort of TV service, not even a converter box/rabbit ears, and I don't plan on getting any.

I flame:

My Facebook friends who incessantly post belly pics, pregnant statuses, TMI pregnant statuses (such as the friend who proudly announced she had lost her mucus plug), birth pics, breastfeeding statuses, breastfeeding pics, random daily baby pics, statuses about their children's every breath, etc. I have blocked more of my sorority sisters than I care to admit.

I flame:

Myself, for being so damned inconsistent about posting.

Un pop op:

TV is massively overrated.

We decided two years ago when we moved to our house that we didn't need the expense of TV, so we haven't had it since then. My coworkers forget this constantly and ask 'did you see the latest episode of x?' or 'have you seen that commercial?'

And I am so glad that I don't have any pregnant friends to post that sort of thing. I also don't have engaged friends because my closest friends are eterna-scholars who are more into their doctoral programs than their relationships. I love those bitches .

I confess I really don't like non-identical bridesmaid dresses. Or at least non color matching. I find it distracting (though I may end up doing it cuz it'd be easier).

I judge the lady who came into my work (low cost spay/neuter clinic) who used our limited special funding to decrease her surgery cost (generally surgery is about $80, so she paid $40) because she claimed she was hard up on money. But when she paid she had a LV purse, matching LV wallet, and drove off in a pretty new and expensive car.

I also judge the other lady who used that same funding, asked that her dogs get all the vaccines, then told me how she recently spent $500 on a Chihuahua mix for her 4 year old. Then she left her dog overnight ($50 fee) and gave some BS excuse (very clearly BS, at that), b!tched about the fee, and then, THEN...didn't even bring enough money to pay for the surgeries WITHOUT the vaccines OR fee! WTF!? She also drove a very nice, newer car.
It happens depressingly often

OPO.: ummmm...I don't like ice cream. It's too cold.

I get this too. It's getting pretty old. Especially since they ask almost every time they see me (the doctors rotate, so most I only see once a week). There's only me, the doctor, and the other tech there, and I've been there 1.5 years. Remember already!

New girl here, long time lurker.  What a fun and feisty group of girls.  Finally decided to register tonight because I am stuck at work and can't leave. 

I confess: My grad school ex-boyfriend just got married a couple weeks ago, and it's eating me a little inside.  Even though I'm happily in a relationship and I would never want him back, or want to break up his relationship, it still hurts.   We had planned all that--he told me he wanted engagement, marriage, kids . . . and it all fell apart.  And then he met this girl, and married her, and I am obviously not even engaged.  So stupid, I know he doesn't think of me at all. 

I judge: People who ask for advice over and over and then never take any of it.  It's frustrating.  (It's also part of my job, so I think that's why it bothers me.  I'm not talking about online forums.)

Unpopular opinion: I have nothing against the death penalty for certain crimes.  I don't any opinions for anything wedding related, as I am not engaged and really have not planned.  (I'm not even sure I'll be able to afford any sort of wedding.)

Rings I like: Y'all have inspired me to look at rings on Etsy tonight.
