In Response to Re: n00bs : I know, lol that was what the evil laugh was for. I'm of the mind that it is what it is. So BF is BF. We'll +1 once it happens. I told BF "It's just like Final Fantasy! You have to go through so many battles before you can 'level up' the relationship! And you have to have shiny stone things to upgrade weapons and buy potions!"
    Posted by sunbird627
BF and I say it's like Pokemon. We need a special stone to make the relationship evvolve ;P

I'm pretty sure I'm technically a reg, I just don't post often because I'm laaaazy. But I've been around for awhile so I count it :P

Random note: today I bought watermelon handsoap and it is fantastic. I can't stop smelling my hands!

A second random note: I started watching Say Yes to the Dress on Xbox Netflix and BF came and joined me in critiquing the dresses, even after a friend sent him a message making fun of him for watching it. It amused me.
In Response to Re: n00bs : I've never had it served that way, but I remember one superbowl party we went to where they had jungle juice (fruit juice, lots of everclear and fruit chunks). My friend was supposed to be driving, so she figured instead of drinking that she'd just eat the fruit....she ended up being the most wasted of everyone. The fruit holds a lot more liquor than you think. LOL
    Posted by jemmini6
I always wanted to try to make jungle juice but I would have to make it with vodka or run because Pennsylvania is RUDE and everclear is illegal. Drunken fruit can seriously mess you up. I always tell people the take it easy when I make it but they don't listen.

On the FFI thing, I hate it. I used to work with a girl who always say stupid stuff like "What are you and your FFI doing this weekend" "How's your FFI". I gave her the look and I would reply with "my BOYFRIEND and I are going out to eat"or "My BOYFRIEND is doing well." This girl also called women who were 2ce her age Honey, or Sweetie. Thank goodness she quit!

That's okay, my colleagues and neighbors have totally skipped FFI or even FI... they just ask my boyfriend every morning how his wife is doing... he stopped correcting them after awhile! My colleagues will also tell me to bring my husband to things... they KNOW we're not married, but in Cuban culture (and Miami is definitely Cuba), apparently if you live together you're "esposos" (spouses) but not "maridos" (married people), so to them it's perfectly natural to call us "husband" and "wife" no matter how many times we tell them we're not married.

So now we hear "How's your husband/wife?" and we say, "Good! How about yours?" like it's nothing. It's weird, though.

    Old Guard signing in...

You can call yourself whatever you want. Noob, reg, whatever. I can call myself the Galactic Empirial Princess of NEY if I really wanted to. In the wash of life, it amounts to jack sh*t.

There's definitely a few "groups" (if you even want to call them that) within this board that basically stick together, either because they get along really well, have been on for the same amount/period of time, or have gotten to be friends IRL. I imagine you stick around here long enough, you can gauge who fits in where and the dynamic of how the different "groups" flow (or don't flow, for that matter) with one another.

I think the major annoyance for many "regs" around here (Old Guard included) lies in when posters speak for the board collectively when they haven't been around that long (or, for some, when anyone speaks collectively for the board), or claim they're a "reg" or a "long time poster" when they've been around for, say, 2 weeks, or haven't contributed jack to the board.

But then again, does it really matter all that much? Probably not.

Then again, the list of individual annoyances on this board has been thoroughly covered in posts last week, right?

ps. The use of "future" anything reminds me of middle school, when I used to call Leonardo DiCaprio my "future husband". You can obviously see how that worked out.
