Looks-wise, I'm Team Jacob because I think Taylor Lautner is cuter than Rob Pattinson. But I'm pretty anti-Twilight.

Not sure yet. Usually there is a BBQ at my aunt and uncle's house but since their son is getting married next week, they're a little busy to host. FI's aunt might have a BBQ and our friends might have one too...we don't really make plans in advance.

I'm not anti-Twilight but I've never read a book or seen a movie.

Do you have the Christmas Tree Shop? If not, Target is somewhat cheap or wait for a sale and get them at JCPenney or another department store.

On Saturday the 3rd I'm running a 1-day LARP.  Sunday/Monday will be at FI's parents' lakehouse.

Team Edward while reading the books; Team Jacob while watching the movies.  Robert Pattinson can look very attractive, but I hate the "look" they gave him for Edward with the poufy hair and such.  Meh.  Taylor Lautner on the other hand is just WOW hot, even though I do feel kind of like a pedophile.

We got ours at Wal-Mart and Lowe's.

New City, as in Rockland? Not upstate.

Ok, I had to say it! I'm from Central NY and it drives me batty when people think that anything outside of NYC is upstate. To me, the North Country is upstate! I consider anything sound of Albany to be downstate!

I actually hate it. No, I think I just hate bowling alleys. Bowling can be fun, but bowling alleys are always sticky and hot and crowded.

Grilling and going to the beach with girlfriends. I'm not going to FI's family reunion in Southampton because my friend is getting married on Friday so I'm staying in town all weekend with all our old apartmentmates.

Team Edward. I loathe Jacob in the books. Jacob in the movie isn't bad, but I don't think they play him true to the books. He is nicer and they don't show his Jekell and Hyde personality in the movies.

I need to buy curtains. Or make them. I'll PIP and get advice next week.

I think my best friend is FINALLY about to break up with her sad excuse for a boyfriend.  He's a LOSER...a nice enough guy, but seriously.  He dropped out of community college.  He has no job. He lives at home with his mother, who still thinks he's going to college & gives him money for it.  He doesn't drive or have a license ( & he's 23).  My friend has to drive him around like a taxi service.  He has no money to get his own place.  And he's been with BF for 2 years and his mom still doesn't know about her!

Ditto. I find this supremely annoying. You can drive for 10 hours straight nort from NYC and still be in NY state. An hour drive is NOT upstate.

I dated a guy from Plattsburgh and he used to lecture me when I said I was from upstate NY (Rochester). Yup. New York State is huge. NYC is one TINY little part of it. I don't consider Syracuse to be upstate even. Albany area is the Capitol Region. I'm from Central NY, Rochester and west is Western NY (though the Rochester part is debatable). There's also the Figerlakes region, the Tugg Hill Plateau, Southern Tier...There's way more to NY than just NYC and upstate.

I tried reading the books when Twilight was brand new but didn't like it. I helped promote the craze by ordering lots of copies and merchandising them in very obvious places around the bookstore I used to work at though.

I used to hate it because  Ithought I sucked.  Then I went for the first time with BF the other week and I OWN AT BOWLING! I'm double jointed in my elbow, and somehow I'm able to do this neat spin thing (I didn't know I was doing it..) and I got a strike nearly every time. It was awesome.

I think we're going to someone's house for a cookout, I don't know.  The 4th of July is my favorite holiday, but it snuck up on me.

I'm moving back out of my parent's house into an apartment again in August. I finally found a new roommate that doesn't seem crazy.  However, my parents are talking about moving down the street into a new house, and there is discussion about letting me have this house if I can make half the payments. I would work on fixing it up, but it's a lot of work, so I'm not sure if I want to take that on.

Kat - I have the opposite issues with bowling alleys - all the ones around here always seem to be frigid!

I don't mind it. I was on a bowling league as a kid. I haven't bowled in a long time though. I have what I consider to be fat fingers and I can never find an appropriate ball for weight and finger size. I always end up with a ridiculously heavy ball so my fingers fit.

Well we have been invited to 2 different places on the 4th. We'll see what happens. I don't work on Monday, so I'm thrilled about that. 3 day weekend.

Hmmm.......FI's parents have decided to pay for the food for the rehersal dinner. So yay! (The money they originally gave us for the wedding was to include the rehearsal dinner.) I also got the BM gifts wrapped last night. I know its early, but I had everything and wanted to be done with it. Now FI has to stare at them sitting out on the floor for the next 2 months... That's what we get for having no space.

Home Goods/Marshalls, TJ Max, Ross, Target or Ikea.  It depends on what look you are going for.
(I scored some awesome silk-like panels at Marshalls recently.  Regularly they would have been upwards of $60/2 90" panels and I got them for $20.  I got some great red canvas drapes for Mr. Man's room at Target for $18/2 panels.)

I don't know, but DH had a reality check last night.  We could be bringing Mr. Man home in 7 weeks since they won't try to stop labor once I hit 37 weeks.

BF is taking me to a pool party at his friends' house, but I'm not thrilled about it because they're a drinking crowd and if it's one thing I hate it's being around drunk people especially because I don't drink.
