Mon Amie Private Label??

Hello All,So I found the dress of my dreams at Mon Amie in southern California. When I asked who the designer was (b/c the tag was cut out), the sales assistant told me it was a private label exclusive to their store. I asked if that meant it was made in house and she said no. My sister (who is quite knowledgable about wedding gowns) thinks the whole thing is a little suspicious and they are not telling us the whole truth. I want to know what the deal is because I think it is THE DRESS!Does anyone know anything about "private label" dresses at Mon Amie? Thanks!!!

Some stores band together and order gowns from companies that are exclusive to those stores. So this is probably the case. Without a photo I do not think anyone will be able to help you. Do you have a description or a price range, there are loads or gowns out there.

Thanks for the reply. The dress was approximately $4200. It was a white charmeuse satin, sweetheart neckline, natural waist, princess cut with pickups and a bubble skirt. I do have a picture-how do I post it? (I'm new to the knot, sorry!)

I used to work at a bridal store, and though we didn't do this at our store, we'd heard of stores that had. Most likely its not an "exclusive to that store" gown. What they do is cut out the tags, then call it a private label, because they don't want you to know what style or designer it is. That way you can't go to some other carrier and buy it for less. Does that make sense? One of my good friends bought her gown from there and she finally discovered what type of gown it was after she bought it. They'll probably tell you all that info after you purchase it.
