Tuxedo sash?

My FI doesn't want to wear a vest under his tux he says he saw a picture of a guy wearing a 'sash' under it. I'm perfectly fine with this but I need some information about it. Like what kind of tuxedo/suit does he need to wear because if you can't see the sash what the heck is the point? (They are all going to be different colors so they have to be seen) And what are they called? Tuxedo sashes? LOL I'm confused anyone know about these?

Cumberbunds. I don't like them. Just my opinion. I think fathers wear them best. Whatever your groom wants though.....

OH no not those I looked those up umm he said that it went across the chest no tie or vest with it just a sash across the chest

Hmmm yeah I'll have to let him look maybe that is it. I didn't see this picture that he saw so he needs to make the final call lol
